I can not recommend Spencer Blake at Horts highly enough. He has been the glue in the chain I was in and he wasn’t my estate agent, he was the agent of the house I was buying, he worked so hard with all of the chain, speaking to all the solicitors involved and we exchanged in 11 weeks. If I was to sell my house I would be straight on the phone to him and I will recommend Spencer to family and friends

I can't recommend Mike Cruikshank at Horts highly enough. He was extremely responsive and helpful and just had so much more drive and enthusiasm than any of the other agents I approached. He sorted out everything get my Dad's house marketed in a few days and we had agreed a sale just over a week after that. Unfortunately my Dad's new home fell through, but Mike was very proactive in highlighting good alternatives to move to. Due to a change of circumstance we ended up withdrawing from the market which Mike also handled quickly and fairly. We wouldn't hesitate to choose Mike again if we need to sell in future.

Ian Smith completed the sale of my property on Monday. His service has been superb throughout what ended up being a longer process than expected. He pushed things along when needed and was always available when required. Ian went above and beyond in many areas as I have now moved away from the area and so he took control of so many elements of the sale. Ian stood out to me when I was looking for properties a couple of years ago and so I decided to get specifically in contact with him to deal with the sale. Micheal (sales agent) and Jodie (after sales coordinator) were both great. Very helpful and personable and got the job done. Micheal is a great salesman. And just is really good at his job. Once the sale was agreed, we had a couple of hiccups (nothing to do with Horts), as is possible with any sale. Jodie kept us up to date all the way. We really relied on her and Micheal to keep us informed as no one else was doing that until right at the end. They also kept things progressing as much as they could. My partner said that he'd give them 5 stars as well. We're hoping not to move again but if we did, we'd use Horts and would certainly recommend based on our experience.

I live in the US and found myself in a situation where I had to sell my parents' family home after the death of my mother and placing my father in a long-term care home. I contacted three estate agents by email. Ian Smith of Horts called me in the US straight away. In Ian, I found a no-nonsense, down to earth and experienced person whom I decided to trust with the sale of our family home. Looking back, I absolutely made the right decision. Ian went out of his way to support the sale of the home. He found the right buyer, not just any buyer, matching the person to the family home, which is what I had hoped for. The journey from offer to closing was slow for legal reasons but Ian was instrumental in making the whole process go to completion after I appealed to him for help. He also helped deal with some plumbing and electrical issues with the home and when it came to a required structural survey, Ian again came through, all in a timely manner. He is truly an awesome person, and I would unreservedly recommend him and Horts to anyone looking to buy or sell a property.

Well what can I say. Apart from an huge thank you to Ian Smith and the team who provided fantastic, professional service with the sale of my late aunts home. Horts provided, right from the start a good valuation, right through to the complete sale of the property. Ian was able to help us in providing professional guys who sorted a few problems we came up against and it was dealt with very quickly and at a very reasonable price The issues consisted i.e a plumbing problem with one of the toilets and electrical issue with the built in oven and getting a building surveyor out to look over and confirm the property was in perfectly good condition when there was a question from the buyers surveyor, this contained a full written report. Ian arranged everything taking the stress away from us as sellers and we just can’t fault the service Ian and the team gave us in getting everything sorted out to help with the completion of the sale. I highly recommend Ian and the team for any sale/ purchase of property. You couldn’t ask for more, but you certainly get a lot of professional assistance to the end.

Our dealings with Horts, started off with Damian showing us round our (potential first home at the time) new home, giving us a full run down of the property, any work needing immediate attention and plans that he had on the property if it were him buying. Safe to say, we were sold on his enthusiasm of the property and great advice on questions we had.
