My experience selling with William H Brown Rotherham was very poor. The house was on the market with them for over six months, and the property was overpriced from the start. Communication was terrible and viewings were repeatedly mishandled, agents turned up late, didn’t show up at all, or stood outside on their phones. On some occasions they even forgot viewings, which I only realised through my CCTV. After two failed sales and an unhelpful recommended solicitors who couldnt speak english properly., I switched to an independent agent instead, and the house sold and completed within just two months. Overall, the service felt unreliable and unprofessional. Avoid at all costs!

I can't thank Ellie/Ell enough for her patience, support and excellent service. Ellie has assisted in securing our tenancy answering the many questions we have had. Due to having little knowledge in the processes and requirements for renting privately i have communicated with Ellie quite frequently throughout the past few days. Our house was on the market for over a year with YOPA and thready viewings. And within a month of being looked after by Kyle Harvey at William H Brown, we were able to secure an offer and be Sold STC! PLEASE STEER WELL CLEAR!!

Poor communication, false promises from sales, lettings and mortgage services. Started off great but once they've had your money they don't care about resolving any issues. Don't bother with the lifetime membership as you'll have to do all the work yourself. Don't bother with management services for letting a property either, they won't tell you about any problems and they'll let your tenants damage your property and steal from you without any reconciliation measures or compensation. I sold my flat over a year ago and I'm still battling with them and the Zero Deposit scheme to compensate me for my property being stolen and damage that I paid to fix for the new owner out of my own pocket. PLEASE STEER CLEAR, SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE!!

Shocking service. Called initially on the Saturday to view property in Rawmarsh. By midday Monday got a call back to arrange a viewing., even though I’d spoken to someone earlier in the day. Various phone contacts and it was only the 3rd call that I was told it was a timber frame building….. Viewing arranged for Thursday at 4pm and got reminder day before. Went to view property and no agent there to show us around. When I called to see where the agent was I was told they’d gone to the wrong property! Apparently they had gone to an address in Greasborough and it would take half an hour to reach us (usually 10 minute drive) - needless to say lost interest dealing with unprofessional agents. What made it worse it that my sibling finished work early to make the appointment. BEWARE

I would not trust these people

I would not trust these people, I emailed them to arrange a viewing on a tenanted property, no contact, after a couple of days I called them to arrange a viewing for same property, straight away the sales person tried steering me to another property instead, but I held firm, they said they would get back to me with an appointment, they never did, it’s now sold. They have preferred investors waiting in the background, other sectors would not get away with it.

As a first time buyer, me and my partner went with William H Brown to get on the property ladder. I couldn’t recommend the Rotherham branch more! Our mortgage advisor Bash was really supportive, welcoming, and friendly from the start. The whole process from choosing/viewing our house to our completion date was roughly 14 weeks and Bash helped us through every step of the property buying process and answered all our questions. Sadly after great experiences 2/3 years ago the current level of service from the Rotherham office is no where near the level it was. Photographs that had items in them that could have easily been removed... poor communication for the entire contract period and now having come off contract cant even get the to respond to 3 emails chasing information or even answer the phone to ask why the board has still not been taken away. Unfortunately I can no longer recommend this agent.
