Terrible letting agents!

Terrible letting agents!I've been waiting over 8 months for a list of repairs to be carried out and when I chase them up, Reeds Rains hardly ever respond. When they can be bothered to respond, it's just the same old excuses and poor attitude trying to blame everyone else and not taking responsibility like adults.I would not recommend this company in any way. Save your money and avoid these cowboys.

We viewed a modern auction house

We viewed a modern auction house, you know the one where they con the owner out of their hard earned cash to take a lower price whilst screwing the purchaser out of 6k! Won't touch this company again after loosing a property as had to bid against people who viewed when the vendor no longer wanted to sell via modern auction but they said we were bound to it in a verbal agreement.

The team is well organised and driven to exceed customer expectations through the knowledge, leadership, drive & interpersonal skills of its branch manager Nicki Cooper. On first welcoming Nicki to your home you feel confident that she has the desire to work for you in reaching your goals of receiving market valuation, she also delivers what she promises. This strong leadership sets strong antecedents throughout the team and this was experienced by me with regular updates from Jenna & George. These guys listened to our needs, worked with us on appointment bookings and never failed to deliver a service that exceeded my expectation. I cannot leave this review without giving special mention to the senior negotiator Tracey Wathall who is without doubt one of the most diligent and hard working negotiators I have dealt with. Tracey delivers, and then delivers some so to speak. The little things matters the most to customers in the often stressful process of selling your home. Recently our family have rented a house through Reeds Rains. Adam Fletcher contacted us as we had recently registered as active applicants looking for a new home as our landlord had served notice on us to sell our current rented property. Adam contact us about a property that hadn’t even gone on the market. We viewed the property the next day and the rest is history. We absolutely love our new family home, it’s perfect. Reeds Rains and our landlord have been amazing and really accommodating. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Reeds Rains Rotherham have dealt with the sale on my late sisters house recently. The lady in charge of the sale is Jenna who has been excellent, very professional and friendly and kept us updated on the sale of the property which is now sold STC. I would have no hesitation in recommending Jenna and if I was to sell another property in Rotherham I would definitely ask that she be in charge of the sale. Customer service was excellent (nothing too much trouble for her).

Had 2 offers on my house Hollie the manger of reeds rains in the prescot branch told me because I had just used them a few months ago they would reduce there fees from 2400 total to 2000 if I agreed to sell to there client and not the other party ,but when it's time to pay the bill she denying the conversation ever happened ,in short always get it in writing ,I have been lied to and will never use reeds rains again ,

A body of lies (Reeds Rains Wrexham)

This review is related to the Reeds Rains Wrexham agency.Friendly advice: please do not waste time with them, even if they have properties that might seem appealing to you. Long story short: after exchanging a lot of e-mails and getting you to view a specific property, they will lie to your face that, if you like that property, all you have to do is call their office and apply for it, on the spot (fact which will start the referencing process for you, as a potential tenant). All good, you are happy, you give it a think and then decide to let them know that you want to proceed with the above mentioned property (e-mail and phone call, shortly after, i.e. 1-2 hours). Now, here come 2 parts:1. The fun part: when you get to talk to them again they tell you that, oh, there were other applications for that property already and that the landlord will decide which one will he accept;2. The absurd / deceiving parts: a) you have no idea on the criteria that the landlord will use to make his decision, AS YOU WILL NOT BE ASKED ANY DETAILS WHATSOEVER before or after doing the viewing;b) if an offer was already submitted for that property why on Earth did the viewing even take place or why are loads of applications collected, without requesting for any details whatsoever?Like I mentioned at the beginning, steer well clear of them as, since they have too many customers (probably), they afford to lie and deceive them.

I currently use Reeds Rains to manage a rental property. I wont be using them again in the future. Call centre in Southampton and a lack of local service. If you are a landlord looking for a letting agent, look for someone that is local and can give you the service and time that is needed.

Extremely unprofessional agents left…

Extremely unprofessional agents left the property knowing we were running 10 minutes late- lying about the actual time of leaving as it was apparently 7 minutes after our arriving. The agent didn't even try to contact us, made us driving all the way from Marple in rush hours for nothing, assuming that we have nothing better to do and will come back other day.If this is how customers are treated at a viewing, we are glad that we are not becoming a tenant with this agency. DON'T RECOMMEND.

Two weeks ago I enquired about a house…

Two weeks ago I enquired about a house I wanted to rent. I have phoned back to chase the issue at least three times and keep getting told someone will be in touch to make a viewing appointment. It's never happened. The property is still up too. I bet the landlord wouldn't be happy with Reeds rains at all. I'm certainly not! Two weeks, 4 or 5 phone calls, I give in!

lack of competence

I sincerely advise against renting a house by this agency. They are supposed to full manage and service the property, but they don't. I am the one constantly chasing things up. The only thing they are interested in is your payment. Currently since 3 months, I am trying to enforce the repair/replacement of a broken bathtub and other major issues. Not working radiator in the bathroom is also not a problem for them. Their contractor for a month does not even have time to appear. After the request for repair, I received a letter saying that I should pay a tax council for the period when I did not rent a home. A complete lack of competence.

Extremely poor customer service. No respect for a customer.

Extremely poor customer service. They have refused put my offer forward as I declined to take the mortgage with them. They said that my AIP which I had from my bank is not valid from them. After my Financial Advisor called to them they said that they accepted to put my offer on. After two hours I received the message that property has been sold.ReedsRains not to be trusted, they are cheat, they will try to force you to take out mortgage from their broker. No sense of care for customers.I will not ever deal with ReedsRains again and avoid any properties that are associated with ReedsRains.

Poor communication

Poor communication. Over promise under deliver. No strategy to market a property bar putting on rightmove and hoping for the best. Our property still on the market after three months no offers and reduced asking price. Neighbour with exact same house and same initial asking price under offer within 3 days using Smartmove. Cannot get replies to e mails. Lack of motivation to keep our business. An e mail is being sent to Head Office. Lost out on the property we wanted.

Bad communication, very disappointed, seemed to appear professional but in reality totally the opposite. I put in an offer in the range of asking price, no reply for 2 months and finally when I chased up, I was told the property was sold, but the property was still available on the market! Finally when she replied after 2 months, lady who was dealing with my request suggested that if I still wanted to be considered that I should put in an extremely higher offer than the asking price so the offer cannot be refused.I found that very cunning and extremely disappointing because the actual price sold for was significantly less than the offer I initially made. ReedsRains not to be trusted, they are cheat, slow with bad communicators. No sense of care for customers. I will not ever deal with ReedsRains again and avoid any properties that are associated with ReedsRains.

Reeds Rain Ilford - Horrible experience in every respect.

We purchased our first property from a seller who used Reeds Rain in Ilford. As I work in a property related field I am not nieve to the process.We put in an offer for the property based on a number of conditions being met. One of which was a clear timeline for completion. We were assured that there was a very short simple chain and that it would be an easy smooth transaction.Fast forward six months and we are still waiting for multiple properties in a branched chain to exchange with complex negotiations still underway.Reeds Rain refused to exchange for the entire time (we didn't end up exchanging until a week before completion.) If we weren't tied into the transaction at this stage we would have walked away 100% as a result of their abysmal handling of the situation.In addition to this, a number of the required conditions of sale were not completed, but we were not provided access to the property to check before completion - but again, we were assured by their office that there would be no problems and that things would be done. In summary of their service and attitude: Their office will never return your calls, you will have to just keep trying to get through to the right person, they will refuse to put anything in writing and once they have finished giving you the sales pitch, you will be nothing more than a number in the ledger and they will treat you as such.
