Brilliant service again from Bartons! The team are all so lovely and provide excellent communication from listing through to exchange and completion! Laura handled our case and she did a fantastic job ensuring we obtained a quick sale and that we exchanged on time in order to secure our new build plot. Highly recommend for a professional and efficient house sale. We also used Leanne for our mortgage who was just as brilliant and it worked really well in coordinating the mortgage and house sale. I have recently moved out of a flat in Bramley that I rented from Barton’s. Having rented a few different places over the years, Barton’s have BY FAR been the best! Any problems I’ve had with the flat have been sorted with no issue and the return of my deposit money organised quickly after I moved out. I’ve found the team to be super friendly and helpful over the last 2 years and really appreciate all the help and advice from David in the mortgage team too. Thanks again.

Rude unhelpful staff, property let with serious health issues promised to be fixed and never sorted. Blocked drains that erupted faeses on to a carpet, no legal fire door access for 7 months, damp etc. No fixes, no apology, no urgency to fix issues and no rebate. False exit account reporting to deduct bond (evidence available). Avoid, avoid, avoid! Partner had to cut losses in the end for their own safety and sanity. There are so much better letting agents in the area that have a focussed 2 way approach.

Having requested a valuation from my local office, the estate agent duly arrived late without apology. She then when on to tell me all about my property and what she thought it was worth and playing down its advantages, I then disagreed she rolled her eyes at my valuation having done my own research beforehand, the final valuation was an estimate of what she thought and was a WHOPPING 40k under current market value, my property sold 2 days after listing with an alternative Agency currently Sold subject to Contract. My advice would be to do your homework prior to agent arrival.

Do not use this estate agent to lease your property. Was paying Barton's a full management service of 12% per month to lease our property and they failed to inform us that the tenant had defaulted on her rent for 3 months. I had to discover this myself. They then never addressed this complaint. Tenant left the property a mess with considerable damage. Barton's washed their hands of the matter and have taken no responsibility. Shameful.
