Mine and my partners buying and selling house process this year has been a struggle to say the least. 6 months of back and forth emails with solicitors. Without Georgina’s help from Barton’s Estate agents, I don’t know how we would have reached a move in date. When it felt like we were failed by our solicitors and other legal partners, it felt like Georgina was there in our corner actually getting things done! We can’t thank her enough for the way she pushed everyone to make moves on our behalf. I just completed on a house that was for sale through Barton's and the entire process was so smooth and easy. Laura was absolutely amazing, so lovely and friendly but also very good at her job and keeping me informed along the way. I also used the Mortgage Broker (David) who again was excellent, everyone I dealt with at Barton's was friendly, helpful and informative. Bartons have been amazing my contact was Laura who went above and beyond to communicate with buyer and their solicitor. The whole process of selling my house took less than 8 weeks. I never had to chase anything, I was kept informed. Laura even told me about her holidays. Even though my contact was Laura the whole team's contributions really helped such as valuation, viewings and any general questions I had. The 'sale board' was even picked up when no longer required, again this was a weight off my mind because I didn't want any attention bringing to an empty house. Another big help was they were happy to talk to my boyfriend when I wasn't available and took a sensible approach about keeping my business private but being helpful understanding my situation. Bartons was a recommendation and I wasn't sure what to expect but I am very pleased, I can honestly say I cannot fault the service. They are the experts, I put my trust in them and received a fantastic result. Thank you Laura and the whole team.

Made our collecting of keys feel as though we may have well as deromanticised collecting our keys. Walked in, no hamper nothing, just a is this “NAME” and then here’s your keys in a white envelope, bye. Couldn’t have been less transactional if they tried. Could make it more special for buyers. Just because you see completion near enough everyday doesn’t mean individuals move everyday, this is an infrequent or even once in a lifetime. Make it special for people!

Can’t praise Laura and the team at Bartons enough for the work they put into the sale of my property. The process threw a lot of curve balls into the mix, but having Laura on my side got it sorted. Viewings were professionally managed; and the guidance I received to navigate the offers was second to none. Laura liaised brilliantly with my solicitors and the estate agents of my onward property brilliantly. Can’t thank Laura and the team at Barton’s enough. Mark is friendly, professional and experienced and his advice was very good. Laura, our Property Sales Negotiator was absolutely marvellous with the sale of my late Fathers house. With the various complications encountered during the sale, she really proved her worth and made things so much easier for me giving me time to concentrate on other related things. She resolved all queries & questions as well as being informative all way through the sale with procedures, time scales etc. Laura went above and beyond with her skills and experience within the conveyancing / estate agency world and would have no hesitation recommending her and the company to friends and colleagues. So, after a couple of weeks, I'm finally calm enough to write my review. We lost our dream house with these agents. After a year of searching, it was the first house we fell in love with. So, we decided to offer the 200,000 asking price....in cash. They then rang us to ask for our ID and details. I questioned if, because they were asking for these, did that mean the seller has accepted. They replied yes and even though they usually go with the highest bidder, they preferred our no chain cash situation. As you can imagine, we were ecstatic! I even rang a surveyor the same day to get him booked in! Such an amazing feeling getting your first home! Then, the next day we receive an email saying that the owners would like everybody to submit their highest bid and they would decide. Well, our world came crashing down! Honestly I felt sick! Nevertheless, we put a bid of 205,000 in praying to God that it would be enough as the feeling we had right there, is one of the worst u can feel. The email came saying we hadn't been successful.....I've spent the past two weeks in a world of depression. I didn't understand. How can they say it's yours and do that?! I still get upset about it, like as I'm writing this, I can feel a lump in my throat! I'd never use these again even if the next dream house came up. Absolute disgrace ruining people lives!!!

She was friendly, professional, and always ensured matters were progressing. When problems occurred, as they often do, Laura was straight onto it and provided great advice and guidance. We found the whole team at Bartons really helpful. You may find cheaper, particularly online, but for us the most important factor was a friendly, effective, and knowledgeable Agency who are easy to contact and respond quickly.
