I couldn’t be happier with the service I received throughout the process of buying my flat. In particular, I’d like to give a huge thank you to Oskar, who was incredibly helpful from start to finish. Oskar was always friendly, professional and approachable, and was extremely helpful whenever I had questions or needed an update. He went above and beyond to keep things moving and made what could have been a stressful process feel much more straightforward. I really appreciated how responsive and supportive Oskar was, right through to completion. His help made a real difference and I’m very grateful for everything he did to help get me over the line. I never leave reviews but on this occasion I felt it was warranted. I just wanted to say thank you to the Romford Balgores team who successfully sold a property for me. Special shout out to Charlie King, Oskar and Louise who were excellent. Estate agents get a bad press in general but these guys are without doubt fantastic. I really felt as a seller they fought my corner through a challenging negotiation. They were open and honest and didn’t just tell me what I wanted to hear, I appreciate that. Awful service with very aggressive sales /Buying techniques. We tried selling through Balgores and received nothing but poor service which ended with a lost buyer due to the awful service. Lied is a strong word but the sales person tried to overstep their position to make the deal happen without speaking to the sellers first. They are now trying to claim their fees even though we lost our buyers. Absolutely disgraceful customer service. They don’t appear to follow any guidelines in relation to estate agents and the Ombudsman policies with regard to double fees. Please be very careful when selling houses through this company. They say and offer a lot but then don’t back it up. I would never deal with this company ever again even if they provided their so called services for free. When you make a complaint it goes to one person within their own company who really doesn’t appear to care about the facts. They just threaten you with their legal department. This is very intimidating, especially when you can clearly see it’s their mistake. They don’t appear to care about their reputation. Just cash. You have been warned.

As a first encounter with Balgores here is some genuine feedback : These guys don’t message round and are a very professional outfit. Oskar assured us we wouldn’t be getting into bidding wars and we didn’t . I would like to take a moment to recognise Marc and Saoire for the outstanding service they both provided throughout our purchase. They were consistently cheerful and approachable, kept us fully informed at every stage of the process, and were extremely flexible when arranging viewing times, which we really appreciated. Marc was exceptional in managing the sale of our property. He was always on top of things, proactively chasing progress where needed, and was consistently helpful and reliable throughout. Saoire supported us from the outset and assisted with our initial sale before it unfortunately fell through. She remained incredibly positive and took the time to give us helpful advice and tips on how best to market the house. At one point we lost hope, but Saoire stayed reassuring and committed, ensuring us that she would look after us. Overall, Balgores were a pleasure to work with. They were flexible, professional, and made the entire experience far easier than expected. This was very much down to the professionalism and positive attitude of the whole team.

I had just entered the country and was looking for a place to move in as quickly as possible. When I contacted balgores to schedule a viewing, the agent Michael was quite rude, judgemental and pompous and told me how he wanted to check first if I might be able to afford the property in the first place prior to scheduling a viewing or it would just be a waste of time for all of us. Once we viewed the flat, Michael told me how he should be able to get me in as quickly as possible. Once I paid the deposit, he called me and told me that the move in date would not be till the end of the week. It seemed convenient how he mentioned it only after I paid the deposit. I was under considerable duress but I tried to adjust anyways and trusted him. He ignored my calls multiple times and the times he picked up he was rude and unpleasant to speak to and hardly listened to what i had to say and also made judgementsand also snapped back at me. At last , 2 weeks later a day prior to the move in date, he called me to let me know that the move in would be further delayed as there was an issue with a safety certificate and he couldn't even commit to a date when the issue would be resolved. Eventually I had to ask for them to return all the money I had paid close to 3800 quids. Although I received my money back, the discomfort and mental hassle I had during the period was devastating to say the least. Extremely unprofessional behaviors.

⭐ 1 Star, One of the Worst Estate Agent Experiences We have viewed around 2 0 properties while house hunting, and this was by far one of the worst experiences we have had with an estate agent. Firstly, booking the viewing was unnecessarily stressful. I called three times to arrange it, but each time I was told that a colleague would call me back. Nobody followed up properly, and I had to keep chasing them just to book a viewing. On the day, we arrived around five minutes late due to heavy traffic, but we had already informed them by message. Instead of receiving a professional and welcoming service, the male agent showed very little interest in helping us. We were essentially left to walk around and look at the property ourselves, with minimal explanation or engagement. What made the experience particularly uncomfortable was the difference in his attitude towards us and the next viewers. He was noticeably friendlier, smiling and engaging with them, while we received a completely different level of treatment. It honestly left us feeling unwelcome and wondering whether we were being treated differently because of our background. We were genuinely interested in the property and would have considered making an offer. However, there was no proper follow-up, no call to ask for our feedback, and no meaningful effort to engage with us as potential buyers. We eventually moved on. We have also dealt with other branches of the same estate agency, particularly around Hornchurch, and our experiences there were completely different and much more professional. This experience was extremely disappointing. Buying a house is a major decision, and prospective buyers deserve basic courtesy, professionalism and equal treatment. Unfortunately, this branch fell well short of those expectations. Based on our experience, I would not want to deal with this branch again.
