GoogleI have dealt with Joanne for 6 years as a landlord and she takes care of the property that I let out. Always very professional and pleasant to deal with and takes her role as a letting agent very seriously. Understands the drivers for both tenant and landlord and ensures she takes a neutral position, careful not to take sides so you can be sure that you will be on the right side of your obligations. The result is you can relax knowing full well that your property is in good hands and well taken care of. I would highly recommend Barton Kendal and Joanne in particular as she is the one we deal with, however whenever I call I am greeted in very pleasant and efficient manner which is a sure sign of a well run business.

GoogleDuring some very difficult personal circumstances, I found myself in the position where I had to rent a property with my two children after being a home owner for almost twenty years! The position was divorce! Ironically it was Barton Kendal who were the estate agents we bought our property through. Having experienced Barton Kendal through purchasing a property and as a tenant I have nothing but praise for such a wonderful company. I would particularly like to thank Joanne Barker who helped me find a beautiful property to rent for myself and my two children, at a time when I was extremely stressed. Her support and understanding was second to none and she helped make the transition between leaving my residential property and moving into my new rental property an extremely positive experience. Three years later I am still very happy with my experience as a tenant and cannot thank Joanne enough for her professionalism and exceptional customer care during such a difficult time in my life! At present I continue to be a tenant of Barton Kendal and I will do so until the time comes when I purchase my next property! Thank you Joanne! I would thoroughly recommend Barton Kendal to anyone who needs a professional and understanding service, as finding a home whether it be to purchase or to rent, can be an extremely stressful experience.

GoogleA tenant for 2 years, never missed paying rent. But had to hold back rent in order to get repairs done on the house. House was draughty, cold and damp, the supplies left behind when I moved in should have rung alarm bells:See pic of cupboard contents. Left with no heating multiple times for a week or so at a time. The only contact you ever get is to check that rent will be paid! They even have the cheek to tell you that the land lord will do no further repairs, even tho jobs were still outstanding from the start of tenancy. The shower the house was advertised with, didn't work, well it did, but was about as efficient as standing under an incontinent rodent. The roof leaked, had to tell them 3 times before they even did anything, even then they didn't repair the damage to the interior of the house! Windows that wouldn't open, others that were so draughty they may as well be left open. So glad I am out, I thought I would warn others. And to top it all, they charged over £500 a month for this property and refused to give back my bond. Have a look at the pics on the links.

GoogleBought a house through this company, dealt with Jack & Emma, absolutely superb service, fantastic communication can't fault them at all, very efficient and helpful, an absolute credit to the company, Emma helped me with all my questions that I had (and I had lots) the communication was superb, and Jack was fantastic at telling me about the area very knowledgeable very friendly, both of them so friendly. Lovely people, thank you so much!!!

GoogleFantastic service from Barton Kendal yet again. I have used them repeatedly over the last few years and they have been fast and efficient with everything they have done for me. I have been specifically impressed with their home buyers reports which have been detailed and more importantly accurate with regard the state of a property, the suggested work required and the valuation. It is so important to have an expert eye when buying property and it is even more important to have someone you can rely on during the current covid pandemic, when viewings are often online, or access is restricted. The reports have allowed me to make an informed decision on whether to buy a property and if there needs to be some negotiation on price. Totally essential if you want to buy with confidence. I also currently have a purchase going through the conveyance process with Barton Kendal and again the service is excellent.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

GoogleShocking experience got made to wait for 25 minutes outside in the storm last week absolutely drenched wet through mislead on the basis of getting the place just out to grab money and drag things out. Definitely wouldn't recommend. Some good agents in the area id swerve these guys, seem to be okay at selling and stuff but from a tenants perspective don't care one bit very disappointed
