I'm one of two part-time company directors of a small property investment & development company - Prestantia Properties Ltd. We are fairly new to the industry and having barely surpassed two years in operation I can say that we have certainly been on a steep learning curve, making our fair share of mistakes along the way! We acquired our fourth development property at the start of the year (2015) but it would be our first for the Croxley Green area. Going in to this project presented an element of uncertainty and risk as the property was heavily dilapidated upon purchase and we had no prior experience in this location. However, we decided to invite various agents from the local area to meet us on site to discuss their opinion of what would work best for renovations in order to maximise resale potential. After meeting with a number of agents, we felt most confident in the advice and marketing prospects offered by Chris at Hamptons' Rickmansworth branch. We found his input most valuable as he confidently imparted to us his acute knowledge and understanding of the local property market. We were also most impressed when he came equipped with real examples of previous sales including non-confidential but useful information of very recent transactions which gave us a very realistic idea of what could be achieved. However, the most impressive part of our experience was the fact that Chris and his team utilised their broad internal database as part of a soft launch strategy which ultimately sourced the perfect buyer for us. An intelligent strategy followed by skillful pitching of our property and the location effectively achieved a sale agreed BEFORE even going live to the open market - what more could you ask for!! Chris and the team showed excellent negotiation skills to achieve a sale price beyond everyone's expectations! We went massively over budget on the renovations due to many unforeseen complications but thanks to the guys at Hamptons, we were still able to walk away with a respectable net profit. Efficiency, professionalism, dedication, and a raw hunger to get results and then to conclude matters quickly are just a few features you can expect from the Hamptons experience. To Chris and the team at Rickmansworth, a BIG thank you for restoring our faith in estate agents and for playing it straight down the line with us from the outset. We certainly will not hesitate in putting our trust in you again for any future property needs!

Absolute crooks. Accepted an offer on a property then made me run round for proof of funds. I got the decision in principle for my mortgages and proof of funding and let them have details of my solicitors happily hoping everything was in order and went away on holiday only to be told I hadn't completed the necessary paperwork and the vendor had accepted another offer. .

Very professional agents from the start when Steve, the manager came round to discuss values and marketing, right up to the end. It sold quickly but due to problems, nothing to do with Hamptons, it took a while to reach completion. They always sent one of their lovely agents to do the viewings, which made it easier for me and Traci in particular worked tirelessly to show the property at its best.
