Had a really good experience from start to move in date. Holly was very approachable, attentive and responsive to us. As stress free as a move can get! Portal easy to use for references and deposit. Speedy turn around with very little waiting. Only small challenge, was lack of information on existing utility providers to assist us in bill set up prior to move - although we are empathetic as this beautiful home has not been traditionally let before. Ultimately, excellent service and process. We’re so excited to be living here and grateful to Holly and Irvings for helping us find our dream home.

Google(👇Updated below👇)Viewed a flat in Romanby northallerton ,estate agent turned up with a fella couldn’t get into main building had to ask a neighbour before entering property estate agent said the fella was her husband ,got into flat he was looking for himself looking too down size in the future he said come to have a look ,I quickly looked and left leaving them behind the property was being lived in even though the pictures online showed the property empty did contact Irving’s not long after property was reduced 115k to 109k think a conflict of interest ..I got out. (Update👉)Nothing was said about the husband sitting in the car , and I have emailed margi@irvingsproperty expressing my concerns and recieved no reply on the 7/8/25 that’s why I waited to review, why would I put an offer in when I wasn’t happy with the service that makes no sense

We have spoken to Christine, who is our Accompanied Viewer and highlighted your concerns and feedback; The communal door key had been changed and we were not advised, common sense to try and get into the flat by asking a neighbour so that we did not waste your time. The gentleman with Christine was her Husband Paul, who did go to assist her and was noted on the system as also having a viewing after yours, Paul did offer to sit in the car whilst your viewing was taking place. The photographs were originals from when the flat was first marketed. It was then let. We marketed it empty so that the tenants belongings were not advertised, however buyers usually find it helpful to see furniture in situ; so they can visualise their own. There is no conflict of interest here, which is the most concerning comment you have made. Our client reduced the price of their own accord, the property is being sold to a private individual, not related to anyone within Irvings'. If it had been, ie sold to a member of our team, this would have been highlighted to our client along with the offer, for transparency, honesty and to prevent a conflict of interest. We note that your viewing was a month before your review, in this time, you could have made an offer on the property which we would have been delighted to put forward on your behalf. We hope that this answers your concerns.

GoogleI have been interested in viewing 2 properties through irvings, the first one I put an interest in the day it went on the market, I waited 4 weeks to be told it was under referencing. The 2nd one I contacted them for a viewing, had it arranged, then 24 hours later was told that it was also under referencing. I find that to be unprofessional. I am interested in 2 further properties but won't be progressing it any further to be told its under referencing without even being able to view a property.
I received a phone call from them on Saturday 15th asking if still interested in viewing the last property I said yes knowing that I was only making up the numbers and surprise surprise I was contacted Tuesday 18th to say I was unsuccessful I would not recommend this firm for any rentals,unprofessional is not a strong enough word to describe them 👎👎👎👎👎

GoogleWe purchased a property recently through Irvings Richmond Branch. We were selling and buying and therefore part of a chain, sometimes finding it stressful and difficult to get information from the Estate Agent/Solicitors involved in our sale.
Irvings took the stress out of this with their quick responses to any queries we had on the buying and also finding information regarding the sale of our property. They are an experienced, professional, knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with as they have excellent interpersonal skills. Margi, Hayley, Karen and the team are really helpful, friendly and efficient and have gone above and beyond to help me renovate and sell our cottage. I live 200 miles away and have relied on them completely. On top of the usual service of valuing and selling the cottage they helped me find a builder and oversaw the works. They have done innumerable extra jobs to look after the place (and manage my anxiety) - sorting out a gardener, fixing the locks, filling the oil tank, checking the post, turning on the heating etc. They are really good at keeping in touch and great at giving advice and support. I couldn’t have done it without them. Highly recommended.
