Spoke to someone on the phone to try and book in a viewing on a property - the guy wouldn't even let me go and view the property because I wasn't sure on my move out dates. I asked if I could just see it before I firmed anything up and he said no - which I think is just him being lazy. Really rude and just poor service.

I recently bought a house via Winkworth, and I couldn't be happier. I went to see the property and was greeted by the most honest and sincere Nicola Roberts (I have anxiety dealing with agents from past experiences, been looking for few years), she is knowledgeable, cares and really easy to talk to, you can tell she's confident with many years of experience. We've done a sealed bid with others, and my offer was accepted. There was no gazumping or playing around or negotiations past my offer, I sent my proofs and that was it, they respected the process. It's the integrity for me that sealed the deal. Nicola and the team have been extremely responsive (I'll often get a response within the hour) and helpful addressing any questions and forwarding questions to my seller. They'll step in when things appear slow or blocked. Buying a house is a difficult journey and inherently stressful (my mortgage lender insisted on two solicitors), I'm thankful that Winkworth played a great part in my journey. There is an agent that wants to sell, and there is an agent that wants to sell and make sure you and the seller are equally happy with their service. I absolutely would use Winkworth again in a heartbeat. Sarah PS: Can you imagine describing an agent with "honest" and "integrity"? Well, with Winkworth you will.

The team in the Kensal Rise and Queens Park office are always extremely supportive and always on hand to provide guidance especially with the current changes in the private rental sector. This service extends to dealing with any maintenance issues, prompt statement sending and tenant changeover, so basically the whole package for a landlord. Winkworth is more proactive in approaching landlords, so they have good stock in rental market. If you are a tenant expecting high quality and good taste residences , you should try Winkworth. It won’t disappoint you. If you are a landlord who cares about potential tenants‘ profile rather than purely rental income, you should try Winkworth too. It is great at matching expectations of both landlord and tenant. Furthermore, Winkworth’s monthly rent collection and statement service is always on time. Its reporting is precise and correct. Avoid this agency if you value your deposit. The end-of-tenancy process was is a nightmare. They submitted a fraudulent invoice as evidence in a TDS deposit dispute. I contacted the company named on the invoice directly and they confirmed in writing they had never attended the property and the invoice number belonged to a completely different property for a job dated 7 months ago. I reported them for fraud.

Extremely Disappointing Experience. Poor Communication and Customer Service

Our experience with Winkworth has been incredibly disappointing. Firstly, our property was advertised at the wrong sale price, with a £75,000 discrepancy both online and in the agency window. The property listing was also incorrect on two separate occasions, with rooms missing from the description. Both times, we had to point out these errors ourselves and ask for them to be corrected. Communication has been consistently poor. Emails regularly go unanswered, phone calls aren't returned, and we are constantly having to chase for even the most basic updates. At times, we've waited weeks for a response, which is simply unacceptable when you're trusting an estate agent to manage the sale of your home. What's been particularly frustrating is the complete lack of proactive advice or guidance. When we've asked for suggestions on how to improve interest or move the sale forward, we've received very little help. Surely this is exactly what you're paying an estate agent for? They are supposed to be the experts, not the clients. Our property has now been on the market for over five months, with barely a handful of viewings. Throughout this time, we've felt that we've had to manage and chase almost everything ourselves. Selling a property is stressful enough without having to constantly follow up with the people you've appointed to handle it. Overall, a thoroughly disappointing experience, with poor communication, a lack of attention to detail and very little customer service. Based on our experience, I would strongly advise others to think twice before choosing Winkworth.

For the last year we have been renting a flat for our daughter, Winkworth Reading have been brilliant, every phone call they have returned promptly, any issues in the flat they have dealt with quickly and professionally. All the staff have been really helpful from the lady who showed us round, to the accounts lady but I'd like to make a special mention of Melvyn and Thank him for his support with liaising with tradesmen and being able to be on hand to sort out issues. Would not hesitate to recommend this company. Only moving out as my daughter is returning to University for her final year. This was my review last year that didn't Post !. Been trying to find a property to rent in Reading for last 3 months with many estate agents not even returning calls or emails. This week I contacted Winkworth's on Sunday, to get a phone call on the Monday morning and had a viewing the next day. Charlotte was polite, honest and able to answer all my queries quickly and efficiently. The first property I wished to view was already just awaiting a bond but Charlotte quickly found another for us to view.By the end of play yesterday all sorted, cannot Thank her enough for making what was becoming a nightmare into positive experience. Would definitely recommend without hesitation.
