I would like to share my very positive experience with Prospect in Reading, Berkshire, and in particular express my sincere appreciation for my property manager, Nancy Suri. From day one, Nancy has been absolutely outstanding. She ensured that my move-in process was smooth, well-organised, and stress-free, which set a great first impression. Since then, she has continued to provide consistently excellent service, responding to all queries promptly and ensuring that any issues are followed through to completion without delay. Having rented several properties in the past, I can confidently say that Nancy truly stands out. Her methodical approach, attention to detail, and commitment to closing out matters efficiently are qualities that are not always easy to find. It is clear that she takes great pride in her work and genuinely cares about delivering a high standard of service. Overall, my experience with Prospect has been very positive, and this is largely thanks to Nancy’s professionalism and dedication. I would highly recommend both the company and Nancy to anyone seeking a reliable and responsive lettings service.

“I had an excellent experience with Ricky and Kenny at Prospect Estate Agency while purchasing my flat in Bracknell. From a landlord viewpoint

As a landlord, managing a property remotely can be stressful. Thankfully with Nikki Gardner as the property manager I don't have to worry so much. Best in berkshire

One of the best businesses I’ve encountered in the UK. I stayed in a Prospect-managed property in Berkshire and they’ve been incredibly professional throughout the tenancy. This includes check-in management issue reporting and renewal. Even when I requested a rolling contract during the property purchase the agency and landlord communication was spot on. Sophie handled the checkout and was very professional and diligent in communicating. I received my deposit back even before a month, which is unusual in the UK market.

Shocking lack of care, unaddressed safety hazards, and total radio silence

I moved into a property managed by this agency almost 2 months ago, and the experience has been incredibly frustrating. Despite identifying and officially logging multiple high-priority safety and structural issues on their Fixflo system, the agency has gone completely silent and ignored multiple emails and phone calls. We are currently living with a faulty front door lock (a major security risk), unstable sunken internal stairs, a loud water tank defect causing severe sleep deprivation, and black mould. To make matters worse, a contractor sent by the landlord literally drilled holes into a utility door, abandoned the job unfinished, and stopped answering calls. Furthermore, despite a verbal agreement during our viewing that we did not need the landlord's white goods, the agency refused to remove them. They forced us to move them onto the driveway, where they blocked our parking space and were ruined by the rain. Due to the agency's prolonged delays in collecting them, one of the appliances was actually stolen last week (which has been reported to the police). The most frustrating part is that we have tried to be cooperative, even accommodating the landlord’s urgent mortgage surveyor, yet our good faith has been met with total neglect. Because the agency has failed to meet their statutory obligations and basic contractual duties, we have now been forced to escalate this entire matter to The Property Ombudsman and the local Council's Environmental Health Team. Prospective tenants beware: once you sign the contract, your safety and communication no longer seem to be a priority for this team.

Very Unprofessional

1- I had some viewings with them and found a place for 150K. I offered 140K and they didn't put it forward. Now the place is for 140K on the market. 2- They confirmed twice by email and their brochure that the service charge was zero. After the offer, it turned out that there was a service charge for aroud £600. 3- They have a mortgage broker, even though you agree to have a call with them, they don't bother to call you. I tried calling them at least 10 times, but they didn't even answer the call. Okay, the viewing side was good, but then everything became so unprofessional. And now I cancelled my offer and they are saying that they won't show me any more properties. If you need to validate my review, please contact back and happy to provide any evidence.
