Previously left a good review because we managed to find a house and the estate agent Mr Khan specifically requested us to leave a good review for him. Have changed it because as actual tenants of the house, when they were organizing house viewings, the first 2 times they came for house viewings with NO PRIOR warning, which is a breach of contract. They then solved the bug in their system, and proceeded not to come to for the allocated time they emailed us with, which is not a direct breach of contract, but was very unprofessional. These were the 3 times where Mr Khan came in for house viewings technically without prior warning, while the other agencies coming for house viewings were able to inform us appropriately and WITHIN the contract. Mr Khan then proceeded to say that he wanted to stop advertising the house altogether because he knew that we would "kick a fuss". But we feel that the actions we took were professional and necessary where we informed them in person and emphasized the severity accordingly as they were clearly breaching the contract. Overall, great for prospective tenants, but horrible for actual tenants.

Mr Khan was an amazing estate agent to help me and my friends complete our findings for our student house. He was amazing in terms of explaining to us the whole process and genuinely being extremely helpful and offering us all the information and inquiries we needed when confirming our house we wanted. Furthermore, a great guy to have chats with, and he made sure we knew every single detail of the house, landlord and possible renovations coming to that house, which helped us definitely make a decision on the spot. Definitely a great and trustworthy estate agent to go to again! Thank you.

Mr Khan has been really helpful when it came to finding and securing a house for myself and my friends. Communication was excellent and he took our circumstances into consideration and gave us an extra helping hand when we needed it. I would definitely recommend going with Cintra Estates if looking for student accommodation.

Had a great experience with cintra estates. They all are very helpful, very polite and friendly. Asif sir helped us when we were in desperate need and didn't know who to ask for help. We were tired of looking for a accommodation for months but no luck and that's when Asif sir helped us and gave us a roof on our head. They also helped our friends couple of weeks back even when they didn't have anything at that time but still Asif sir tried to help them by phoning other agents, their family and friends if they had something for our friends and thank God they got a flat. All thanks to cintra estates staff. God bless them all. 😊

I’ve had horrible experiences with previous agents in reading and cintra so far has been the one that has helped me the most. A brother called benji had helped me find an all girls house which previous agents did not do. The last agent from a different company put me in an all guys house without even telling me. Benji was very respectful and understanding and helped me understand the process very well. Cintra estates is very reliable and I would definitely recommend for students !!

Were stressed about finding a house, walked in and Mr. Khan made some calls to add a bunch of houses to our booking, didnt waste our time and was attentive; not only did we find a house, we received accomodations for what we asked for and got a great price. Very positive experience.

Mr Umaiyya was a wonderful estate agent and performed his job outstandingly. During the tour of the houses he provided in depth information allowing us to really get a feel of the house which allowed us to promptly find a house that we liked and get the deal done. Would 100% recommend!

Extremely unprofessional, turned up to our house at 9PM for a house viewing, with no notice regardless. Told them it’s not acceptable to do a house viewing at 9PM, instead of politely leaving, was pestering and keen to do the house viewing and had to close the door. Recommend other agencies highly avoid

Few months ago I adverstised my studio with Cintra almost for a month and not a single viewing was arranged and the manager Neil is never available either on phone or SMS or email. In fact the one single viewing he arranged who actually tried to bargain on site, the agent did not turn up ,as owner I had to do it myself. The agent does not even spend 15 mintutes to take proffessional pictures or vidoes, in fact they use the pictures taken by owners on their phones. One key point is during the month we had to reduce the rent from Β£700 to Β£650 to Β£600...each time we reduced Cintra left the old ad as it is on rightmove and created a new one with reduced price. At one point they had 3 ads for my property with different prices but same pics...I don't think anything could be more horrible than this, as it made my property look like a dodgy one.......no one came closer for viewings because of this!!! So lazy that they can't edit an existing ad or remove an old one!!! what a shame. All in all I wasted a lot of time by advertising with Cintra. Will I used them again - NO, will I recommend them to any one - NO. If you are intelligent DONT go near these agents!! Regards, SatishNegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Friends from China, especially classmates, please be extra careful not to look for a house through Cintra Estate. It is a completely scam company. After I signed the contract, they refused to give me even the contract because I had paid the full payment. Logically speaking, this house should be in a disputed state and we did not move in. You can't move in because it's a mess and there's no way anyone can live there. They didn't guarantee anything. What's even more outrageous is that in this case, they even registered the deposit and tried every means to prevent you from seeing the landlord, sending emails and calling them. It's useless because no one cares about you Just go to them. There are only two people who are very rude and will chase you away. There is no way to handle this.

Mr Khan was great at helping us find a house. We had same day viewings which was really useful due to the houses being taken up quickly at this time of year. Big thanks!

The staff there were terrible, they subletted our house without our permission over the summer preventing us from moving in, and then just shoved us in another house with so much rubbish and broken furniture in it. There was even mold growing in one of the rooms when we came round to collect keys. We complained so many times about this but the staff never responded. They even said this is standard procedure for "international students' and that they didn't care about whether we complained or not because we couldn't talk to anyone else. They also didn't return our deposit until several months later and were extremely unhelpful.

Since finding a house through Cintra last year at an incredibly late and difficult time of the year, Cintra have shown to be extremely helpful in allowing us understand how to find a house and signing contracts and such. Special thanks to Tom and Benji who not only are great at their jobs but also as people in making us comfortable with the system of finding a house. They are also lovely people making us want to stay with the estate agents and find a house through Cintra.

I cannot stress how much you should stay away from these criminals. I rented from Cintra/ Ridgemoor properties in my second year at uni (2018-2019) and they took an insanely large deposit from the outset. The House was in bad condition for the money we paid and they were slow to respond to maintenance requests, if they ever did at all. When we left the house, we requested our deposit back as normal but they did not bother to respond to our emails/ calls for months. I then registered a formal dispute with the protection agency. It was at this point they finally got in touch with us to return the money. They are genuinely criminals - STAY AWAY.

As a student who has gone with Cintra for the past two years, I can honestly say that Cintra is very professional estate agent. They were very useful with helping me find a house to rent that was suited to mine and my house mates needs. In terms of house viewings this year, they have been very considerate with warning us and trying to avoid coming at awkward times, especially Tom and Benji. We are very grateful and would highly recommend Cintra.

Grossly incompetent and unprofessional avoid at all costs! These individuals put on a good act being all professional and friendly up until the point when you need something from them. Our property was infested with rats and to say that they weren’t helpful would be an understatement, we informed them of the problem in November, and by the time we moved out in June there were as many as ever! Any blame you try and place on them they will simply blame Ridgemoor Properties, which is a subset of them, and suggest that they are trying to look after you. This is most certainly not the case, they are simply trying to line their pockets by dodging fees and any charges. For example, the agent that was in charge of our property requested that a bank payment was done through my personal account to a third party, in order for them to avoid any potential tax or charge on the money. Finally and what is most disgusting about this agency is their inability to return a sizeable deposit to us despite the fact that we moved out of the property 2 months ago! There has been countless missed calls and fabricated stories that the agent has come up with. We have been in contact with the landlord directly and he has been lying to him as well, suggesting that Ridgemoor had the deposit in spite of the fact that we paid the deposit directly to cintra. They are likely to be running a lot of things illegally and off the books due to the fact that they demand large sums of money in cash with a huge charge on using bank transfers. A truly disgusting company who line their pockets at the expense of financially vulnerable students. Safe to say I am in the process of complaining to the property ombudsman and I would encourage everyone else to do the same.

These bigots will never ever respond to any issues. Its absolutely disgraceful to how they manipulated us as first year students into thinking they provide good services and initially giving them a 5 star rating. They dont ever meet their promises, saying how they would let me put my boxes in their spare room in the estate as im not local and would be going back to my country during the summer break, how they would trim off the grasses at the lawn and worst of all how they would instantly be at your doorstep to fix any damaged items. This business should not be operating and to new students, please do not finance their unethical and unprofessional services any further!!!

PLEASE READ AND BE WARNED: Cintra (& Ridgemoor) have made mine and my housemate's stay in our house HELL. They have completely conned us. They do no repairs (we asked from June 2017, we've only recently had most repairs completed) and the repairs are inadequate. This property has been dangerous to live in. They do not reply to phone calls or emails. They are rude. Mr Khan is a horrifically disgusting human being, and the property manager is also terrible. They are rude and unkind. You should all know they've had lots of legal action taken out against them and they are currently bankrupt. I'd write more but I can be bothered giving any more time or writing this. they aren't worth it. We have a full list of everything they've done (or haven't done). PLEASE, PLEASE AVOID. ESPECIALLY STUDENTS.

I went to help my daughter move into her new house today, it was let by Cintra Estates on behalf of Ridgemoor. After letting them know that we would be coming and making a 4 hour return journey we found the property was in an absolutely appalling state, we could not even leave a bag there. This is over a month after we started paying the rent. I am absolutely mortified to find this post from 6 months ago, below. I am very worried that we have been conned and that my daughter will be in an unsafe environment. Cintra (& Ridgemoor) have made mine and my housemate's stay in our house HELL. Cintra Estates(Christchurch Road)- adjacent to the University of Reading is simply amazing. The staff working there are very welcoming and quite helpful...... I mean they do not relent until your housing issue/problem is sorted out. As a foreign/international student my greatest headache when I got University Admission was where to live especially since University Accommodation was exhausted. I dropped them and other Letting Agents an e-mail a month before travelling to the UK and unlike the others, they responded effectively giving me several available options. Upon my arrival, I did several viewings free of charge......yes, no fees charged on students, what more could a student want??? What I also like about them is that they do not leave you stranded even after you have let the house. One time I had a problem with plumbing and they took it up with my landlord and the issue was fixed immediately...... .....................good work Bilal, Tom and Team. Cintra is home away from home!

Went into the office at 1pm today for our scheduled appointment looking for some help to find a 4 bedroom house for next year. Balil was really helpful and took us to see some properties and the group decided there and then which one we liked the most. We went back into the office and the paperwork was all completed quickly but thoroughly. Thank you to the guys at Cintra Estates for helping us find a great house!!
