Brilliant experience of renting

Miles and Barr have been great - it had been a while since I'd rented but everything was explained really well and it was a quick, smooth process. While living in the flat, my property manager Abigail Burch has been such a brilliant help - actioning any issues immediately and always so responsive. Very pushy with using their solicitors

I know the guy was only doing his job, but I dislike the system of aggressive sales technique to get buyers to use a solicitor you recommend, so you can make some commission. To be fair, the guy wasn't unpleasant, but was persistent, and I felt bamboozled into agreeing, despite my concerns which I aired at the time, including conflict of interest,due to sellers using same company. Unfortunately a quote i was given verbally was inaccurate, but as you wanted my money immediately, your now having to sort out what I hope is a full refund, so we can use our preferred and cheaper solicitors. To be honest, this has left an unpleasant taste in my mouth, im now apprehensive about having to deal with miles and barr for the sale, and won't be selling with this company when we sell our house next year. Its just too pushy, and not all estate agents do this, one we used in Sandwich certainly wasn't. . So my advice, be prepared for battle if you want to use your own solicitor! Your guy who showed us the flat twice was lovely though.

I was looking to sell my home for the first time in 30 years and instantly thought of Miles & Bar who were local for me, always look busy and I always see their for sale boards around the island. Upon entering I was greeted by Guiseppe & Judith. I immediately knew I had made the right choice. Firstly Judith came around and valued the property, and talked us through the process. Judith was very thorough, and even made a point in coming back to explain it again as I wasn’t available the first time. Daniel came and took photos on the Friday, and we were ready to go live on Monday. Holly & John then came into play and kept us up to date as to everything that was happening. We sold our house immediately and were then able to go out buying. In the meantime I had calls and emails with Charles, Alice, Ella and Sophia who were very helpful and reassuring at all times. I was also impressed by the fact that whoever answered the phone knew exactly who we were and knew everything about the sale. Miles & Bar are highly recommended for your buying and selling needs. Annie was absolutely incredible in helping me purchase my first house. I really appreciate you being by my side throughout on this first time buying (solo) experience. Meghan was great in (very) quickly securing the deal and Annie then picked up and was always on call and always a step ahead which was so refreshing and it meant I wasn’t battling solicitors etc alone. We sold our house quickly at a price we were happy with and his guidance around the process was helpful. He did a great job of facilitating discussions between us and our buyer. Good experience selling our home with the deal branch. Luke H was great at communicating with us and keeping us informed and also Aimee during the viewing process. Jade the sales progressor also did a great job updating us and handling any concerns after the offer was accepted. After having challenging first buyers they went out of their way to get us a new better offer and see it through to exchange of contracts. I would use them again if I ever look to move again.

Fin at Margate right from the start was prompt and professional with dealing with sale. He also has a very friendly and genuine manner about him which we warmed to from the start. We were updated throughout. All the viewings were arranged and we were given helpful feedback. Louise at margate throughout the sale was keeping us updated with any progress.
