Shocking

Shocking - bought a house in 2016 only to be told when selling it that, and this is quoted text: "Good morning,Please see the response from our technical team-I have received a response from Building Control to say that unfortunately a completion certificate has not been issued as the insulation and seal was required to the loft hatch. They are asking if the homeowner can provide a photo showing the loft hatch open so they can see the insulation and seal and also a photo with the loft hatch shut. Hopefully this would be sufficient to resolve the issue. Please could you provide us with their request and we can move this forward for you.Kind regards"How can you be selling houses that don't have the correct documentation!?

Holmewood

My daughter and her partner were let down at the last minute by another developer and we happened upon Stephenson Grange at Holmewood. I am so pleased we did. The sales executive, Jo James got us in at the last minute and showed us around all the show homes giving personal tips and professional recommendations to a young couple. They put an early bird deposit on a plot which is ideal and Jo has kept them up to date throughout the build of their new home which they have now reserved. I have found Jo to be engaging, professional, helpful, open and honest since we were first welcomed and I would highly recommend. In fact, we are also thinking about moving to the same development should something become available.

After care is shocking. Never buying from Lovell again

Sales team were good but once moved in the after care team are shocking, their not interested in any problems you have. Three visits to fix a tap and still faulty so gave up in the end. The bath leaked into the kitchen they came to put stain blocker on the ceiling and didn’t paint it which left a bigger stain so had to take another day off work for them to come back to paint it but looks like it’s been done with some random paint they had on the van so also gave up with this issue. There’s that many cracks appeared in every wall and ceiling in the house so got them back to sort it out. I received and email from them saying they will fill and sand all cracks and re paint, the painter turned up with no paint but filled all the cracks but didn’t sand any down, I rang them to see when it was being painted which they said their not painting it now as they didn’t realise it was a show home so now I’m left with dark filler patches all over the house which looks a right mess worse than seeing the cracks. We now need to decorate the whole house which is causing stress on my family. They offered me £200 towards getting it done which might just buy the paint brushes. They have no care what so ever which is why I would never buy from them again. Your after care team will ruin your business. SHOCKING

They don't care post sale..

Lovell started off so strong with the purchase however their recommended solicitors were terrible and nearly responsible for the sale falling through multiple times. Once in the house everything seemed great and a few problems were sorted out, however in the long run they just don't care. We are on the Louth estate where they have abandoned finishing grass verges and sorting out problems within the first year for a new development at the end of the road. We have weeds the height of myself growing out of the incomplete verges that are now blocking vision coming out of our drive and spreading into the gardens. Money paid in a maintenance fee has gone nowhere and the complaints procedure is none existent, over 30 days waiting for the response and nothing. I know of other neighbours on the same estate with equal frustrations, poorly fitted parts and bad plumbing with no custom service or solution in sight.

Useless

Moved into the property end of may, rang up on the 1st of June for a few repairs and still waiting now. I've had people showing up unexpectedly about said repairs, saying they was going to order replacement to then schedule a day to fit it to then not show up, given me appointments then not showed up.they ha e asked for video evidence of said repairs to have them send the replacement out and to have me fit it myself. Lack communication and will use any excuse to not come to the property. Absolute disgusting.

Overall happy with the experience

Overall happy with the experience since reserving a plot and now going through to purchasing the house. Two things that can be improved on, it is really hard to get in contact with Sales Executive and no one answers the phone. This was frustrating because I was wanting to enquire about houses, availability and process. Secondly, the early bird/reservation process is not mentioned anywhere and I would have missed the chance to reserve a plot if it wasn't for asking on the web chat (after having already spoken to 3 people). I had been waiting for availability to be released on the website and did not know I needed to go through approvals beforehand.

Nightmare, never again!!

2 months after reserving a plot I feel an upto date review is a must. I see now why they ask you to leave a review so early on in the process, as my initial review was positive and I couldn’t fault the sales office staff. It’s took us almost 8 weeks to exchange, when on reservation we were told this part of the process should be completed within 28 days. We had everything in order and paid our deposit as requested within the 28 days. We reserved a Lovells home from a Lovells sales executive at a Lovells sales office, but when it comes to delays and complaining, Lovells are only interested in passing the book and don’t appreciate the impact the delays in the process have had on us, both mentally and financially. I’ve had to log a complaint formally to even get a phone call off someone, but still all I got was basically sorry it’s not our fault. I’m sorry too, sorry that I ever started this process with them. They’ve ruined what should be one of the most exciting time and day in our lives and don’t give a damn. Never again would I buy from Lovells or recommend them to anyone. Angry and disappointed.

Left the estate like a bomb site for two years

I live at lakeside, Doncaster. The houses have been fully sold now for nearly a year yet the roads have not been completed, there are weeds growing everywhere and no builders on site. I have been in my home for two years in September and I'll need new suspension on my car soon with the amount of humps in the road.Customer service don't seem to know what is going off, most of the residents on the estate email them weekly and nothing happens. It is if we have been forgotten about.This is not the experience you expect when buying a new home, really terrible experience.

Very poor after care support

We bought a Lovell home in Morgan Glen Larkhall. The house was great until small issues became a nightmare with getting resolved. We have been in the house over a year now and still have a horrible draft in our hallway, even after a new door was fitted. We were also sold the house with a double tree line, this has turned into a workman scattering twigs on a hill! We continue to wait for our issues to be resolved, very disappointing for a 5 star builder.

Bittersweet purchase

We are in the process of buying our first home in Redwing Square and our experience started out great. Our sales rep was excellent by showing us around and discuss our options. We can't fault him. We have reserved last week and we went to discuss extras as we have dreamt of having an induction hob.
