We used BFL Prenton for a recent purchase at the time, the process felt okay nothing particularly impressive. However, around six months after completing, we were contacted by the office to say they had never verified our ID or proof of funds and now urgently needed it in case of an audit. I found this quite alarming. From my research these are basic legal checks that should be completed during the transaction, not months after completion. Since speaking with solicitors and other agents, it’s clear this isn’t standard practice and shouldn’t have been missed. The communication from the office was on another level of disappointing, the updates, the person we needed was never available then the attitude we experienced from Jules came across as abrupt and unprofessional, she alone would put me off calling in the future about a property they were selling. Overall, I wouldn’t say the experience was terrible at the time, but looking back, there were clear oversights that shouldn’t happen when you’re dealing with something as important as a property purchase.

NO service at all!!!

We were buying a leasehold property from this agent and they only contacted us once in the whole 4 month process. When they did call, it was after I’d gone in and asked for an update and to enquire why it was still on Rightmove, for sale. The young lady who called had totally incorrect information! I then rang and was told they had the lease agreement and would ensure it was with me within a week. That was early October. Said document arrived at the 11th hour via our solicitor just before Christmas, close to completion. Due to its terms ( including not owning the loft space which we’d asked to see on a 2nd viewing and had not been told we would not own it) we withdrew from buying it. No call was made by the agents! I feel sorry for the sellers as I wonder if they realise how little was done to get a sale, or were the agents withholding getting us the lease deliberately? I hope the next potential buyer of this property is treated with a little more respect!!

They get you in to a bidding war and then drop off from the face of earth, made us reach the location to view properties but then cancelled last min. No respect or value for other person time. I recently bought a property via Bradshaw Farnham & Lea's Woodchurch Road Prenton office. The first person I had contact with was Sam Clothier, who valued my own property. She attended quickly and also very promptly and was extremely professional. I have to say, the sale/ purchase was also handled extremely professionally by the staff and I'd like to mention in particular two staff members (Julie and Amy) who were hugely supportive and helpful between putting forward my offer in July and moving in late September. My first dealings were with Julie who was so helpful at putting the right kinds of properties my way. Amy was really helpful in her After Sales role, helping iron-out issues over jobs which needed completing by the vendor before I could move in and a slight issue over keys! 😉 No issue was too big or small for the staff at BF&L and they were happy to facilitate a number of viewings for me over the months. They put me in touch with their mortgage broker Bryan Davies who again was extremely helpful when I needed to revise my mortgage decision in principle after being let down by an extremely awkward and volatile vendor on the first property I'd made an offer on. Again, Julie was extremely supportive during that period after the original vendor pulled out, making sound suggestions about other properties which may be ideal. The property I ended up purchasing was time critical due to the stamp duty holiday ending and their in-house Conveyancing Solicitors (Tara Cain of Russell & Russell in Chester) was also excellent, extremely helpful, worked really fast to move things on when the vendors solicitors seemed to be taking much much longer to respond. Overall, I would definitely recommend Bradshaw Farnham & Lea and I will definitely be contacting their office again, when I come to need the services of an Estate or Letting Agents again - very, very impressed!PositiveResponsiveness, Professionalism

I am a first time buyer, I had two other property transactions which did not go ahead after long months of waiting with an another estate agency. This was my first time dealing with Bradshaw Farnham & Lea. Usually estate agents are only after the commission and protecting the sellers. They only care about the buyers until you make an offer, but not Amy Henshaw. Amy was there for me from day one, always so helpful and so caring. She gave me so many helpful hints that I cannot even count, the communication from the solicitors side was everything but efficient, but thanks to Amy the whole process was bearable and I have managed to keep my sanity. Great experience with BFL in Prenton. Mike came out to value my mothers house and straight away we could see that he had a fantastic amount of knowledge of the local area. It was due to this that we decided to use BFL. They came out and took great photos and managed to get the property on the market the next day. After just under 2 weeks of marketing, we had an offer of just under asking price. This was down to the efforts of the team and in particularly Julie. Julie looked after us throughout and worked her socks off to get us over the line! We would recommend them to anyone.

Unfortunately you don't get to choose your estate agent when purchasing a home but luckily we had Mark from Bradshaw Farnham & Lea who was excellent. Getting an offer accepted for his client on the house is only 10% of the job and Mark was brilliant at managing the whole transaction which had a few complications to deal with.
