GoogleMMP were great when I moved into a property with a friend and later were very helpful when the tenancy changed to myself and my partner. All requests we made through them were dealt with well. However, when the time to move out came we were informed that the entire 575 pound deposit was being kept for “cleaning” despite myself and my partner cleaning the house top to bottom and painting the living room, kitchen and a bedroom out of our own pockets over the last 4 and a half or so years. We did manage to claw back 275 pounds with the Tenancy Deposit Scheme and had to reluctantly accept this after our request was ignored for a week and a half. However, this still leaves 300 pounds of deposit that was kept for “cleaning”. We were also not offered a pre departure check so that we could sort the issues that they had with the house and claim our full deposit back. All in all this felt like either the company or the landlord were trying to pull a fast one on us in the hope we wouldn’t contest the decision.
Hi Nathan. Thank you for your review. All deposits are protected by the Tenancy Deposit Scheme. Any dispute regarding deposit retentions can be referred to them for independent adjudication for settlement. Prior to the end of any tenancy, tenants receive clear instructions on what is expected when a property is vacated. Properties should be returned in no worse condition that it was initially let, taking into consideration general wear and tear over the course of the tenancy. I can say confidently they are the most professional team of Estate Agents that I have dealt with, and over the past 9 years, I had dealings with 8 different Agents but none compare to the high standards of efficiency, care and helpfulness of MMP Newtown. Then on completion of my purchase, I received a beautiful bouquet and a Congratulations card card signed by everyone. I just wish my solicitors had worked to the same standards!

GoogleWe used MMP Newtown recently to secure a rental in the local area. The staff were extremely professional, namely Sue, Rhiannon and Mandy. They dealt with all aspects of the process in a clear and efficient manner. All communications were responded to promptly and we couldn’t have asked for better agents to deal with. Absolutely superb staff and we would not hesitate in recommending them.

I was in dire straights after a relationship breakdown and needed a home immediately for myself and my little boy. Morris Marshall assisted me and provided me with excellent customer service from start to finish. And when I got my keys this afternoon it was like a light at the end of a tunnel. Thank you for helping me find a home, not just a house.
