Sam Mcgreevy was efficient and helpful from the start. He kept us informed and was very professional as well as being friendly! When we accepted an offer, Tanya West in the legal dept. Took over our transaction. Again we felt looked after and in safe hands. Tanya dealt with the many communications effectively and helped keep the process on track, through to completion! She was helpful and approachable throughout, helping a stressful experience be a little less stressful!

Our journey started with Lawrence, so friendly and totally professional explaining the house market and getting a competitive valuation for us, succeeding in a sale on the first day! Having just completed today, the sale of a deceased estate property, with a few complications along the way, and having to contend with very difficult solicitors on the buyers side, I can firmly say I dont think any other agent could have handled and progressed things the way that Ocean did!!Just superb, from start to finish, so professional, sensitive when needed, and always available, we have appreciated it so very much as a family!!Good old fashioned customer service works wonder, and special mention to Melissa Bell, just the absolute best at her job, keeping us informed at every step along the way, we cannot thank you enough!!!The Sheppard/Lloyd family

Fantastic service

Being 'novice' landlords who live abroad but manage the rented property ourselves, we were slightly unsure of the process when our first tenants left. Special thanks to Charlie at Oceans Portishead, who basically said "Not a problem, leave it all to me" and was as good as his word. New tenants were found within a few days, and all necessary steps (check out, new inventory, deposits etc) were quickly progressed, minimising the time the property was empty. Excellent job at keeping me informed throughout and taking all the stress out of the process.

Amazing letting agents

Myself and my partner recently let a property through Ocean. Amelia dealt with the arrangement of the viewing and what came next after we made an application of the property. She was so so helpful and approachable- we didn’t feel like we couldn’t ask questions and any issues we had she dealt with haste and very professionally. She even managed to organise some furniture for the new unfurnished property through the existing tennats who were getting rid of a few bits which was a great help with our move and made it so much easier. Also a thank you to Will who showed us around the property in great detail! I’d 100% recommend letting through Ocean!

Ocean Estate Agents were flawless from start to finish. We’ve moved before but this was another level and we were quite out of our depth but they were so calm, friendly and efficient it was always a reassuring phonecall to them which we are incredibly grateful for. Also, it’s a real asset to a company when the whole team are great and communicate so well I’m house. we spoke to Liz quite regularly and she was amazing, nothing was too much and she again, was so efficient. Equally when she was off Lisa picked up where she had left off and was always up to date. Joseph was also amazing and attentive, we can’t thank him enough for being so flexible when it came to us viewing our new home multiple times (and this was a lot of visits - bless him!).We would highly recommend Oceans to all our friends and family and owe a massive thank you to them all for being a huge contributor to sealing the deal on our forever home.

The team were helpful and quick process

The team were helpful and the buying process went very quickly and smoothly. Ashleigh in particularly was really really good, very responsive and clear and her friendly tone of voice was really appreciated. We also arranged the mortgage through the financial services part of Ocean, and Luigi was amazing, and got us a great deal, fantastic service. One minor suggestion on the conveyancing is that it would have been good to get a few more status updates on the online tracker but I think that might just be normal. Overall very happy with the experience.

We have a great experience using Ocean estate agents to sell our property. Stefano is 1st class and always on hand for support and guidance. We were kept informed at all times and we would truly recommend. Our property was on the market for only 1 week before being sold with our property having multiple viewings on a single day. Ocean have been brilliant while selling my property and purchasing the next. The sale of my flat was particularly complex and convoluted - but was handled brilliantly by Claire and Demi, with Demi keeping in touch and keeping me up to date throughout. This made what could have been an awfully stressful situation so, so much better. Demi in particular has been amazing, I can contact her and she will get back to me almost immediately. She is so friendly and helpful - just an absolute pleasure. We have already said we plan to go back to Ocean and the conveyancers next time around!

Sam was absolutely exceptional

Sam was absolutely exceptional. As FTBs we struggled to know what we really wanted in a house and often changed our minds but Sam was patient and helpful throughout. We genuinely wouldn't have found the perfect house for us, if it wasn't for his down to earth nature, or his absolute professionalism. Unethical practice

Move Manager advised me of completion date and to change my booking of my preferred removal company.Even though I questioned the feasibility of this - she insisted that all other people on the chain could make this new date. I changed the date only to be told (very soon after) that it wasn’t feasible and we needed to revert to the original date. My preferred removal company then could not move me as someone else had requested the date. I was forced to use a removal company that I never would have chosen and at a considerably higher cost. The experience on the completion date was not pleasant and I hold Ocean accountable for the stress and illness this resulted in for me. I have raised this as a concern but the manner in which it was dealt with was poor.

The service we received from ocean estate agent -Portishead conveyance was nothing short of outstanding this was mainly attributable to Claire trainee conveyancer - she kept us informed returned our calls promptly and she also responded to our emails promptly. Claire has excellent interpersonal skills, she always came down to see us when we called into the estate agent unannounced. When things became difficult she remained calm and reassuring. Selling a Park Home without legal documents. We viewed a park home in Portishead through Ocean and put an offer in and arranged a survey £520 and this was carried out, when we came to do the paperwork the seller could not supply the legal documents ! the shop manager was aware of this as he asked us to sign blank forms which we refused to do. On several occasions we asked for the legal paperwork and were told we have sold Park homes without the paperwork which in practice can cause serious complications later. We withdrew from the purchase and asked for our survey money to be refunded as the shop manager had not done his due diligence on this property and it should have not come on to the market. The property is still being shown for sale. I reached out to Ocean to resolve this matter without escalation but they are happy for me to post on here and take it to ombudsman. I know they will reply on here and defend there case but it comes down to due diligence or the lack of it.
