The solicitors above us in the chain were not so responsive but Livia worked hard to get things moving. Thanks to Livia, Oliwia, Jamie and Kelly our sale and purchased reached completion and we are happy in our new home.

GoogleSelling a Park Home without legal documents. We viewed a park home in Portishead through Ocean and put an offer in and arranged a survey £520 and this was carried out, when we came to do the paperwork the seller could not supply the legal documents ! the shop manager was aware of this as he asked us to sign blank forms which we refused to do. On several occasions we asked for the legal paperwork and were told we have sold Park homes without the paperwork which in practice can cause serious complications later. We withdrew from the purchase and asked for our survey money to be refunded as the shop manager had not done his due diligence on this property and it should have not come on to the market. The property is still being shown for sale. I reached out to Ocean to resolve this matter without escalation but they are happy for me to post on here and take it to ombudsman. I know they will reply on here and defend there case but it comes down to due diligence or the lack of it.

Ocean were amazing from start to finish. I was previously selling my property with a different estate agent, but decided to change as I was unhappy with the service the other estate agents were providing and it was the best decision I made. My buyer was at times very difficult, but ocean managed to get my sale through within 8 weeks, which was amazing! Thank you to everyone at ocean, especially Melissa and Mike!

Managed to complete the purchase within the planned time frame, but this was with us being first time buyers with no chain on either side of the purchase. Ocean estate agents really pushed for us to use ocean solicitors as a way to expedite the process as they could hand documents between themselves, but in reality communication both within ocean and to us (especially with the solicitors) was really disappointing, considering we were recommended to use them and were paying a premium because of it.The solicitors were hard to get hold of and unsupportive of our queries unless it suited their timeline and were very clearly reluctant to explain and explore any uncertainties we had as first time buyers. This was made worse by the fact some of our assumptions of the property were incorrect ever since the initial viewing due to what was claimed by the estate agent.The last comment is on the frustrating portal everything has to go through, it is really difficult to track updates and see progress, and there was a moment when Ocean had left it a week before asking why something wasnt signed in the portal. I would recommend Ocean solicitors to use direct communication more rather than relying on a portal like this which many might find confusing to use for everything.All in all, while we don't have much experience with other solicitors and estate agents, I would encourage others to do research and not trust all the claims and recommendations made by the estate agents, and that if you do need anything checked by the solicitors know it will be the last thing they reluctantly do all while urgently pushing for you to complete.

Our portal which is still under development, should have provided updates and insight, as well as reassurance. We are sorry this was not the case in this instance. There was no chain as you say, however, 8 weeks from draft contracts to exchange is extremely quick by today’s average time frames of 40 weeks. This may explain some of the urgency at times. GoogleMy partner and I are currently in the process of buying a house through Ocean. We have been looking at houses for a while now through many different estate agents and Ocean have by far been the best. Matt Lennon has been amazing!! He is super helpful and has kept us updated throughout. Everyone else that we have spoken to have been great as well. Luigi the mortgage adviser is also very helpful, patient and was super quick at processing our mortgage. So far the service we have received has been second to none and highly recommend using Ocean.

Initially smooth sailing and great photos. Annoying inaccuracies in promotional materials for the house that were never fully fixed despite requesting them to be corrected. Then lots of viewings but no offers. When asked, unable to give specific useful feedback about why people weren't offering. Eventually switched estate agents to Elephant (who were excellent in every way) and sold within 2 weeks.Update for accuracy: should have said no serious offers. Did have one below asking price offer very early on that Ocean were clear they thought wasn't serious. We attempted to negotiate and it was immediately withdrawn, confirming that view.

The tenure listing in marketing materials - We promptly updated Ocean's marketing materials upon your request. Unfortunately, national portals took longer to reflect these changes. Viewing feedback is requested in various ways, we appreciate how important this is to our sellers. Firstly a ‘temperature check’ is taken immediately by the agent, then by offering an online rating and comment opportunity via email and the buyer’s ‘My Ocean dashboard’. And lastly via next day follow-up calls. Regrettably, there were no consistent comments recorded in your case.During your time with Ocean, we received an offer less than -3% of the higher guide price when for sale with Ocean. This was rejected.We appreciate your feedback and take your comments seriously. Our Sales Director will review your file further. Ashleigh was really attentive and quick to our questions, and spotting potential issues with our purchase ahead of time. They were also extremely helpful when our first house purchase fell through, and very sympathetic.Definitely recommend them as a first time buyer.

40-50% rent increases to all the properties in my block of flats, overnight, and Section 21s issued to all the people who queried the legality or tried to negotiate. Some people lived in the building for over 10 years. Absolutely gutted. Months and months to complete repairs. Really bad peopleEdit: I was not offered a 10% discount, I was given an eviction notice when I tried to negotiate. What they have replied with isn't true.
Ocean Lettings and Management have been recently appointed to manage the building on behalf of the landlord. As with all rental agreements we act on the Landlord’s instructions. A Director fully appraised of this particular contract will reply in full ASAP. Regards Ocean. Update:We sympathise and understand your misgivings, unfortunately, costs have increased for all parties. Ocean Lettings and Management were appointed to assume management of the building on behalf the landlord. Following a circa 10-year hiatus, tenancy agreements required review. The building owner requested a rental appraisal, subsequently a 10% discount of current, average rental prices was offered. Regards, Ocean.

Despite finding a large number of people to view the property many were not in a position to proceed and many were not even on the market despite Ocean knowing we wanted to move quickly.It may be coincidence, or we may have been unlucky, but when we did receive two offers they recommended the lower one who was selling with them (which obviously generates more commission), after several months they could not proceed and we went with the other buyer who was a dream.The icing on the cake was on completion they gave our buyer the wrong key.

Not least after previously spending time on the market with an alternative agent. We are sorry that your experience fell short of your expectations. Finding qualified buyers was certainly indicative of the market at this time, it was very unfortunate that your initial buyer was unable to complete the sale due to unforeseen circumstances.
