Two distinct teams - sales and sale progression - both very effective in their communication of the situation. This made us confident in decision making and reassured us through the process that all was going as well as it could. Ultimately, we sold for a price acceptable to us with relatively little stress. A particular appreciation of the progress team who we felt were almost always ahead of us in checking progress with the two sets of solicitor teams. Many thanks.

I am so pleased with Ocean! The sale of the property was not a straight forward one and we feared it would be impossible to sell. Ocean were with us every step of the way and were so patient. They got us the best deal and were open and honest throughout. It was the first time we had sold a property and wouldn't hesitate to use them again if we were ever in the position in the future.

Ocean have been really great as estate agents while we purchase our first home. Julie Hawkins in particular has been very helpful, keeping us informed every step of the way and helping co ordinate. She also gave us some really helpful recommendations for contractors to use. Would definitely recommend ocean in general, we found they had the best properties on the market. The whole process has been quite stress free which I was surprised about for our first house purchase.

TrustpilotMake sure mortgage advice is actually advice
Regarding mortgage advice, a lack of clarity around products. Watch out for 2 year fixed deals actually being 28 months and not being made aware of this before signing after weeks of doing 24 month calculations with the advisor. On reflection i feel shoehorned into a product i now regret; its hard to know what the market is doing but during a stable/slightly improving market..on reflection sticking with a variable rate for a short period and waiting for non-movement or a drop would have been better advice... not sure.. wasnt advised. Instead we were laser focused on the products on the list approaaching the renewal date. It was more 'pick from this list' rather than advice or strategy, which often required a further look to fully understand.Just feeling a bit out of pocket and could have been better.

On the whole a good experience with quick replies to questions and an alternative person to communicate with if the main contact was out. Frustrated on the final day when it appeared to take one hour for the money to get from our buyer to us then a further one hour fifty five minutes for the money to get from us to our seller's solicitor meaning that removal men {and my wife} were sat in the freezing cold waiting for keys - would have been quicker to take the cash out and drive it there. When I paid Ocean their fees, it was there within minutes.We appreciate that the process depends on everyone in the chain being on the ball but 14 weeks is too long for a three house chain. Not the fault of Ocean but the whole transaction could be less stressful if the rules were changed slightly.
