Ellie was good as gold when helping buy my first flat. There were many delays and problems, but they stayed on my side and chased people up on my behalf. They maintained consistent contact with me throughout the purchase and kept me informed of everything I needed to know! She also helped me get my mortgage and ran through many different options with it as well as sort out relevant insurances I needed for my peace of mind.

Whilst we had a good experience with Bournemouth branch initially when we brought our property 5 years ago, we didn’t for the selling aspect of Poole branch. It started off good with a viewing and offer, but when the offer fell through after a week, we basically were ghosted from late July - mid October whilst the contract was happening. Any contact that was made was by us through email/call to organise price reductions and other elements to help sell the property. There was no proactive movement from Poole’s side to help sell the property from our point of view. Whilst “the market being bad” is out of people’s control, proactive communication isn’t, and we were not proactively communicated with throughout the entire selling process, which has stuck us into a position where we are now unable to sell and have to look at other options.

I’ve just exchanged today on my first home and I absolutely could not have done this without Ellie Barrett. Back when I first started house hunting every estate agent you speak to wants to set you up with their preferred mortgage rep, so at one point I was talking to several and it quickly became clear Ellie was the one for me. She’s just fantastic, apart from being lovely and a genuine pleasure to deal with - she’s good at her job and has background knowledge/experience in sales and letting. Long before I got to the point of offering on this house she would advise on houses, be on hand for opinions and give me her steer on what to do. She is incredibly responsive and thorough and stood out amongst the many others I engaged with. 18 months of house hunting and I finally got there -I couldn’t have done it without her, the support was invaluable and I can’t believe it’s finally all over the line.
