I knew beforehand that moving from the south of England to Wales was going to be difficult. Not being able to drive and the distances involved were one worry but I've not been through the moving process for years and my memories of the event..... Well it was just such a faff last time. Multiple face to face visits, payments done in person, contracts signed in person. Well when you're catching two buses and two trains just to get there, I was expecting a bit of a nightmare process. This move however has been very different. My agent, Hannah, was extremely helpful the entire time, she answered all my questions, assured me every time I raised a concern that everything could be delt with remotely. After my viewing she was on the case the application, the referencing, all the documents I had to provide, she was on the ball throughout. I was always kept informed of how things were progressing, any issues (that I caused by the way) were quickly resolved. It was just very easy and totally not what I was expecting. Professional, friendly, helpful. Everything you need when you're doing one of the most stressful things you ever have to do.

Really good experience, from viewing to purchase. Viewing was conducted in a really unobtrusive, helpful and non-pushy way. All communication was very friendly, polite and prompt. It's been a pleasure dealing with Matt and his team at James Douglas. We had 3 viewings on the first weekend and received 2 very good offers. We proceeded with the buyer who was in best position to proceed. Despite dealing with a difficult solicitor on behalf of the buyer, whenever we wanted an update, Matt was on hand to chase. From sales memorandum being issued to completion was 12 weeks. This is even with a slight delay on my end. Would be very pleased to recommend James Douglas to any seller.

I am landlord with several properties in the Pontypridd area. I moved to James Douglas lettings when they bought another local letting agent. There were a few bumps to begin with, due to a settling in and transition process but since then they have been very good. They’ve done rent reviews and we now have a good system in place for maintenance. They are also very up to date with all the latest legislation. They really understand the Pontypridd market.
