This was my first time buying a house which I initially found very daunting however I couldn’t have asked for a better experience buying through Hoskins Johnson! Chris went above and beyond from the first viewing up until the very end, he was extremely helpful and answered every single one of the many questions I asked! Chris quite clearly loves his job, he is very passionate about his role we could see this from the first viewing up until the end which was a breathe of fresh air for me and my family. Thanks to Chris and Hoskins Johnson everything went smoothly and I ended up really enjoying this whole experience. I have been contacted on a number of occasions now by Hoskins Johnson to leave a review, so here we go. Initial contact was brilliant and the lady that showed us around the property was lovely, we put in an offer, which was accepted and the process of purchasing our first property began and then for nearly 3 months every ounce of contact via Kayleigh Woods was rude, abrupt and extremely unprofessional. Even the mortgage advisor and solicitor commented on her behaviour during the process and we had to continually apologise. Everyone else that we spoke to, though it was a minimum amount seemed approachable but we dreaded the phone calls from Kayleigh and she made what should of been an exciting time, more stressful. The only time we received any sort of customer service is when the sale had been successful and we needed to arrange the collection of the keys. If anyone does look to purchase a home through Hoskins Johnson please avoid having this managed by Kayleigh Woods.

Bought my first home through Hoskins Johnson, being supported by Kayleigh. In fact looked at and offered on two properties within a few months of one another as had to pull out of first purchase. Kayleigh was very helpful and understanding of my situation and negotiated well with the seller on my behalf while also explaining their boundaries to me where needed. Did not waste time and accommodated all surveys & checks i wanted to have done. When i re-approached about the second property, I was nervous it might be awkward after pulling out but absolutely no problem at all. Once again all surveys and checks accommodated very well and negotiations done quickly. Been told this is a great experience for a first time buyer and quite happy with it!

Asked to put an offer in for a property and they didn't take the offer to the owner because we offered on the same property 2 weeks prior. So Instead of letting us know that they don't think they will accept the offer, they just didn't take the offer to the owners. When phoned the day after they said that why did we think they would accept something that they declined 2 weeks before and just refused to take the offer to the owners. SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL and a massive waste of time to deal with! Could of just told us that its an offer they probably wouldn't accept. Dealt with a really rude woman, But was phoned back by a nicer woman who was way more helpful!

I rented through Hoskins Johnson for 4 years and had nothing but trouble. Repairs not being done, rude replies, abrupt and rude phone calls when chasing up repairs. I understand that half the issue is the landlord but as the letting agency Hoskins Johnson should have done a lot more considering the conditions I had to live in with windows being drilled shut, garden being unusable and the overall condition of the property being below standard. Customer service was appalling. The only helpful person in that office that I found was Claire. She rang me at the end of the tenancy and told me to dispute the deposit to which I’ve now won back.

Gareth Johnson, Ian Reese, Clare Harris you all need to be held accountable for your actions. I never had a problem with Kayleigh, credit where credit is due, Kayleigh was always pleasant and helpful. Definitely a Good Cop / Bad CopS situation here. Our boiler was leaking carbon monoxide and you did not care. Readers beware and take a look at their reviews on other websites. All Reviews. Even if they had my dream house on their website I would never use Hoskins Johnson again. I was renting a house for 1 year. We had our viewing during the summer months and once winter hit, the cracks started to show with this rouge estate agent. The boiler broke down and upon inspection (they sent someone out 10 days after first notifying them) turns out the boiler was leaking carbon monoxide. The property had rising damp in all rooms that they refused to help with (all precautions were taken by us to avoid damp when cooking or using the shower etc), they simply said that they'd be waiting on the landlord for further comment and then after weeks of chasing for an update they said that we need to get our own professional out. Ian in particular was incredibly rude and intimidating another employee named Clare was not approachable. I was spoken to like I was a nuisance when I made a few calls to them to chase up a job. They were very sharp with me. I took in depth notes of each telephone call because I didnt like the way I was spoken to. It was clearly Hoskins Johnsons job not to care. As I said, this company could have my dream home but I wouldn't give them another chance.
