I entrusted the handling of rent and tenant services to RR which was fine when everything was going as it should but as soon as I had trouble with the tenant not paying rent and not allowing access to the property then they were very poor in chasing up and, even more important, very poor in communication with me. I wasn’t living in the area and sometimes abroad so I needed good, speedy and conscientious communication which certainly wasn’t forthcoming. I would phone them up and when the person answering couldn’t give any information they said someone would call back. They rarely did. I was left in limbo for weeks on end not knowing what was happening with the tenant. When the tenant finally moved out, owing rent, RR did a very poor job of checking the condition of the property. In fact they did a poor job of inspection throughout the two-year rental period. At that stage I decided enough was enough and decided to sell. The sale was by auction and fortunately in the hands of another company. However, RR continued to show their incompetence by, for example, misspelling my name when dealing with the title deeds and sending me details of prospective viewers of the property right up to the last moment when contracts were about to be exchanged. In all honesty I cannot recommend them to landlords, buyers or vendors.

Georgina did her absolute best to help me process a claim for some of the deposit money after my tenant had moved out but had caused damage. This was an incredibly stressful and difficult experience- it took months and months to get resolved with very few updates and little progress with things moving at a snails pace. If I’d have known at the start how challenging this would have been, I never would have agreed to have a tenant that used ZDG. And if I’d have known how long this process would take, I never would have bothered to make a claim, meaning this particular deposit scheme is not fit for purpose. We are, finally, nearing the end of this difficult time, but, I must say, Georgina has been supportive throughout.

First time seller and Reeds Reins eased me through the process! Our evaluation was done by Scott. His approach was completely different to the other realtors. He was genuine, laid back and didn't try to "hard sell" me or be pushy. He also offered some handy tips of how to get our house up to a high standard to make more appealing to the market, And the fees were very reasonable too. We paid a little extra extra for higher quality photos, which were well worth it (thank you Lavern!) and when we were on the market, Vicky and Hedley coordinated our viewings. We were only on the market for 3 days before we got an offer, which Hedley promised to get above the asking price and that he did (thank you so much!)! I am more than happy and definitely made the right decision going with Reeds Reins. It can be a very daunting and stressful experience but they are always on hand to answer questions and are highly professional but also down to earth!
