My partner and I are just beginning our tenancy with Smeaton Homes and our experience could not have been better! Karina was amazing to work with, and really ensured that communication was clear and consistent throughout the whole process. After my previous tenancy with a separate agency (which was nightmarish), Karina and the team at Smeaton Homes have been a breath of fresh air throughout the entire process of starting the tenancy! We are very happy with our new home! Karina is very knowledgable and has been the best help in the team. I understand that the company only have three team members, which had made it difficult to communicate when the relevant member was out of office. A highlight of Smeaton Homes was their viewing process; it felt very professional and we weren’t rushed along the way. A rather stressful move, but couldn’t be happier now we are in!

I can’t thank Dan enough for everything he did to help me through my house sale. After a really stressful experience with another agent, I was anxious about the whole process, but Dan completely changed that. From the very first conversation, he was calm, understanding, and incredibly supportive. He kept me updated every step of the way, explained everything clearly, and was always there when I needed reassurance. No question was ever too much trouble, and he genuinely cared about making sure I felt comfortable and confident throughout. I have recently purchased an investment property through Smeaton Homes. I found the process very easy and relaxed. I was updated regularly by their staff, Kiera and Dan were great and really helpful. Once our property completed, I then worked with their lettings team to rent my new property out and they had a new tenant lined up by the time we got our keys. I’ve been staying in these lovely studios for a while now, and I have to say, it’s one of the best places to stay as a student in Plymouth! The studios are spacious, with a separate kitchen that makes it really convenient for preparing meals. The rates are incredibly affordable, which is a huge plus for any student. The staff here are fantastic, super friendly and always ready with a laugh, making the place feel like home. They’re approachable and genuinely care about making your stay as comfortable as possible. I would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Plymouth. It’s perfect for students, and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it here!

Whilst looking to relocate to Plymouth from Gloucester we looked at a property being marketed by Smeaton Homes. Dan was very efficient meeting us at the appointed time with all the relevant information about the property. Although the property was not for us he very kindly advised us on other properties we were looking at. He did point out that one of the properties we were interested in would require a full survey being a barn conversion and a basic survey was not permitted. This is something we were not aware of. He also gave us the names of local surveyors who he considered were competant and competitive. I would certainly recommend Dan and his his colleagues.

He is prompt at arranging tradesman to deal with any maintenance issues should they arise, and keeps me up to date with any and all developments including changes in legislation that are relevant. Dan was deceitful! Couldn't of been a worse experience, he was very keen to help to begin with and then once our offer was accepted we were completely ignored and mistreated. We made an appointment to view the property after the offer was accepted and no one arrived of bothered to let us know that they wouldn't be turning up. Tried contacting by email and phone and got no response! It later came to light that he had lied about the property we were purchasing and the result of the survey and then tried to tell us otherwise!! Wouldn't use the company again and certainly wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Smeaton Homes -Knowledgeable , professional, went way over the "extra mile".

Smeaton Homes had a house for sale that needed a lot of remedial work-which was exactly as they advertised. I found that Dan was knowledgeable about the work that needed to be done and the costings too. On the second viewing he had even arranged for a double glazing company to arrive at the same time to give their estimate for their services. Dan's estimate was slightly above the company quote but that was great as it meant my costings for the work was lower. He dealt with all my questions quickly , efficiently and professionally... Sadly we couldn't complete the deal as the owners wanted top price for an uninhabitable house.. I am continuing to use Smeaton Homes to find other properties..
