Fox & Sons Estate Agents are by far the best agency I have came across. I was looking to move from wales down to Plymouth for a new start for me due to a horrendous situation what has happened in my life. I came across a property I liked I rang them and spoke to such a lovely woman called Emma Kevern. The property was fully booked on viewings but Emma went out of her way for me to still be able to view the property. I went to view it a couple of days later and fell in love with the property. A woman called Natasha done the viewing and she was also very caring about the situation and made me feel very comfortable. I went for the property and managed to luckily get it and it was all down to Emma helping me and going the extra mile. I would very much recommend to anyone if you are looking for a good estate agent then use Fox & Sons they are very professional. Massive thank you to Emma you have been brilliant. Lovely lady. I had a very good experience with Fox and Sons for my property search in Plymouth. They had well maintained properties and were really prompt in responding to my mails. Many other letting agencies took days to respond. Natasha Lyod was proactive in her role and was very responsive. She arranged for the virtual viewing of properties and was able to quickly find an alternate property when the property that I had finalized had some issues. Most of the documentation work was paperless and I would recommend Fox and Sons to anyone.Natasha was always ready even to come to our property when we had some minor issues.

I would like to Thank the staff at Fox and Sons for the service they offered while we were looking to buy a property in Plymouth. The communication throughout the search and purchase of the property was faultless. We mainly dealt with Emily Melia but have spoken to several other members of staff. They always returned our calls promptly and called when they said they would. Emily helped to push the purchase through when our chosen conveyancer was frustratingly dragging their heels! Please avoid this unprofessional office in Hastings. Thought it was weird that my requests was not followed through. Been waiting to speak to a manager for a week. Nothing, called back. It was obvious the fella did not pass on my message. Not responded to emails. When challenged, he was happy to tell me he didnt like me. Think it was the colour of my skin.Update Foxs and sons are questioning my review. Trustpilot want evidence. My complaint was done over the phone. The company did not address my complaint in writing. As i advised trustpilot. Whoever is challenging this has not contacted the branch manager who i spoke to at length and arranged for someone to value my property last week. I have recently had the pleasure of dealing with Fox and Sons Peacehaven branch and if I could give them more than 5 stars I would.This is the first time that I have had to sell and buy a home in 20 years. I'm a single mum to 3 children under 10 so time and working to my schedule was so important to me.At the start of the process I felt completely out of my depth and had no idea where to start but they made me feel at ease straight away.The whole team at the branch have just been incredible. The process has been fast, efficient, smooth and professional. I have been kept updated at all times and everyone has been so approachable and nothing ever seemed to be too much trouble, even when I took my 3 children on a viewing.The service was so good that I even used their mortgage advisor, Jonathan, and the service provided has been incredible.I would particularly like to thank Tom and Alice for their patience and understanding especially with the amount of questions that I had. Excellent - superlative even - service and help from Grace at Kemptown/Brighton Fox&Sons. Grace was super efficient, dealt with a myriad of inquiries and was always on hand and on top of everything re. an offer on a property in Kemptown.Having dealt with a lot - I mean a lot - of estate agents in Brighton - which is enjoying a property boom - I can hand on heart say that even though most are lovely - it really stands out when you have got someone who a) isn't trying to flog you something you don't want and b) who is doing their job so well - they actually look out for what you are not thinking about or seeing in the process of looking at a property to buy. It is HUGELY helpful when an estate agent is that thorough and cares about their job so much - and of course this is so conducive to you wanting to do business with them.I totally get that estate agents get cynical and jaded as they do their job year after year - it must be exhausting - but when you have someone so on the ball and preempting what you are missing, and not thinking about, it makes all the difference.Thank you Fox&Sons - and Grace in particular. Avoid F&S conveyancing

Do not use Fox & Sons in house conveyancing firm. I’m not a Fox & Sons customer but our buyer is (as that is their agent) and they’ve held up our chain for months. We agreed a sale in October 2024, it was discovered in January 2025 that our buyer needed an amendment to their lease on their leasehold property before they could sell it (a deed of variation) three months later to today, only now has the Fox & Sons conveyancing firm read the leases properly and determined what they need to do and there is still no end in sight. All in our chain has needlessly been put to extra stamp duty cost, the cost of arranging a new mortgage offer because previous ones have expired, we’ve had houses in the chain being re marketed, causing further stress. Our solicitor told me today that they have three chains including ours that are all stuck and going nowhere due to a deed of variation, and guess what, every one of those chains has the same Fox & Sons conveyancing firm handling the deed of variation. They clearly don’t know what they’re doing and I would suggest unless you want to waste your money on delays, and be stressed beyond belief, do not use Fox & Sons in house conveyancing. I don’t normally post reviews, if I get bad service, I simply don’t go back. However, on this occasion, I’m getting bad service that is costing me and others in our chain more money, and there is nothing I can do about it.

Simply the best when it comes to service and professionalism! My Fiancé and myself had been searching the market for rental properties for some time, we had moved from Switzerland to a mid COVID lockdown and to say we were stressed was an understatement. We seemed to be having no luck in our search, every property we liked was gone in a flash and we felt like no estate agent would help us - it was awful. Then we met Natasha Lloyd from Fox and Sons, this was a good day! We had called last minute to express interest in a flat and Spoke to Laura Bradley (dont let her accent fool you shes propper Northern) she processed us there and then and within 20 minutes we met Natasha for a viewing (no lie this is how these girls do business). We emailed an application form that afternoon and Natasha did the rest and of course we were successful in our application, I’m sitting writing this in my beautiful flat in the best mood I’ve had all year. I don’t have the words to describe how awesome Natasha is at her job but would recommend her as one of the most approachable and professional people I’ve ever met, down to earth and very likeable. I cannot recommend Daniel the mortgage advisor enough!! No stars would be more accurate

Edit: The service got even worse once we'd left. The Company left me with a number of examples where I had to contact Utility companies, because they lied about our Moving out date. I then found myself having to explain to several people that we had moved out in October 2019, not January 2020. This took several hours over many months. My credit rating was apparently affected, because I didn't know I was being left with bills that I shouldn't have. I would welcome any member of the company to contact me to discuss just how bad they were. I very rarely have the need to write a poor review of anyone, but I've never come across such an air of apathy from a company. At the start, they were very pleasant, and made a load of promises to get work done before we moved in. The house was filthy, and their representative (Mr Evans) promised my wife that a load of cleaning would be done. The garden would be tidied up, holes in the walls would be filled. The excess furniture would be removed. On arrival on the day we moved, nothing was done. My wife was extremely upset (Rancid milk ground into all the carpets downstairs, thick film of grease and filth in the kitchen, dirty toilets and bathroom. Cooker filthy and not working, Garden was a mess, Furniture that should have been removed was still there, etc etc. This was not vaguely dirty, but FILTHY) My wife contacted the Company Representative, who did nothing. When I eventually complained further up the chain, it was turned around so that it was our fault for not formally requesting that stuff be done. The flippancy of the lady that dealt with the complaint was beyond contempt. When I make a promise that is something will be done, when I'm representing my Company, I make sure it is done. This was definitely not the case with Fox And Sons. Having moved out, we now find that we are likely to lose a large portion of our Security Deposit because they are now blaming us for damage that was caused long before we had moved in. We are rather relieved to have now moved out, and even more relieved that we will never have to deal with this company again. There are many estate Agents, and Letting agents that work extremely hard for their clients. This isn't one of them. I expect my Secure Deposit to be taken from us, as it would appear that their primary objective is to take as much as they can from the market. Exactly as expected, we have been blamed for long term neglect and damage to the property that were there long before we moved in. We have photographs from the week we moved in, and will process an appeal, but I fully expect that it will be ignored. If truth be told, all we want now is to move forward and not have to deal with these people ever again. As the title says, NO STARS would be a more accurate appraisal.
