This is basically the same review as my Sequence Review, but since they're essentially the same company, why re-invent the wheel?I honestly like to see the best in people or companies, but William H Brown is one of the worst.As a tenant, dealing with them is a nightmare. Everything from arranging repairs, to dealing with contracts.Everything is outsourced; they're nothing but secretaries throughout their entire company.Living in Yorkshire, why do I need to ring someone in Liverpool to tell them a tap is loose, and then wait weeks for a response?And if that 1 person is off work, no one else can pick up that task?Why do I have to send multiple emails and make several telephone calls to get answers, and then be badgered by them for "not doing something", or anyone external to their system?Or the fact that they don't know, nor have access to, their own systems in order to answer any of my questions.Literal blame shifting to anyone but them.And I've only dealt with them for 6 months.

Quite possibly one of the worst estate agents we have dealt with.We were contacted by one of the agents from the Welwyn Branch, who repeatedly told us that unless we had our house valued, we would not be taken seriously by Vendors. After being called on the third occasion by the agent, we decided to get a valuation and I contacted him by return, to let him know that we had. Even though the valuation had been the day before, the agent told me that it would be useful if he also valued my house. This would have been the fourth valuation in the space of 6 months.We were then called by someone from their call-centre and although, seemingly impossible, the service was even worse.All that the lady we spoke to wanted to do, was sell us a product. No real interest in us, or what we were looking for in the housing market. I finally gave in and asked how much the service would cost - she had no idea. When I questioned how she could try to sell me a product, where she did not know the cost, she became flustered and told me that her she would liaise with her "boss". The first time, he apparently told her that he would provide me with info, as he was in my area. When I asked when, she told me he was not, but he could be. When questioned further, he was not going to be in our area. So, I asked her to get him to email me - he was not able to. I then asked her to get him to call me and I was told he would. One week later, she called me back, not remembering me at all. I then got the whole sales pitch again. Enough was enough. I asked to make a formal complaint and was told her "boss" would call me, as he took these things seriously. Still waiting.You are treated as a number and not a person. I am not really sure how they can still be in business.

GoogleI met one of William H Brown staffs name Daniel who always gave me positive response all the time, he worked with passion he always keep time, I find it difficult to solve any issues with other staffs but if I will be able get in touch with Daniel the solution will come out, he is straight forward and honest , he always call back and give feedback I think he's one of the best among all

I have had a very difficult relationship with WH Brown over my years as a professional landlord and considered them to be among the worst agents in my area .However they really have got their act together, in recent times, due to a change in Management in Lettings starting with Izabela and latterly with Olivia .Olivia has been fantastic not only has she done what she said, she has achieved more than 30% more rent than I was getting and a new tenant was found interviewed and signed up within a week with no hassle or inconvenience to me .Thanks for making my work life easier Olivia I cant recommend you enough and won't hesitate in using WH Browns in future .

Tried purchasing a property and had the offer accepted on agreement it was removed from the market with no further viewings. Solicitors were involved and all checks completed. They continued viewings, without our knowledge, and we were gazumped. DO NOT use this estate agents!!!

Unprofressional and tell lies to get you to sign. We rented a house that was with them but also with another estate agent (weird) they advertised it as one price on right move with no deposits and they tried to change the prices after we signed. Promised us the house was going to be painted and plastered before we moved in and when we moved in it was a horror show, including mouldy food still in the fridge! Baring in mind this was the middle of a pandemic. When we called to complain we were told they no longer worked with the other company and did not deal with this property at all anymore. Keys were lost in their offices when we went to move in, and just a total lack of organisation or care for their tenants. A year later when we move out surprise surprise it is them that want the keys back to rent the house out again.Unless you are desperate for a house I would avoid!

GoogleI used William H Brown to find me a buyer for a tenanted property where the tenant wanted to remain as it was her home. I met Steve and I really liked his sympathetic attitude to the situation. He appreciated that there would be disruption to the tenant's home and wanted to keep this as minimal as possible which he later did. The tenant told me that she liked Steve and was happy to have him bring prospective buyers to her home, unlike another 'pushy' agent from another local company, which was part of the reason I chose William H Brown. There were some photos and a video tour to take and I was very happy with the way the property was advertised. This led to a few accompanied viewings and I soon had an offer which was very acceptable and this proceeded to Completion of the sale. I have no hesitation in giving William H Brown a big 5-stars and recommend them as professional agents who did a really great job for me. I will definitely use this company again. I also used William H Brown's recommended solicitors (Tilly Bailey and Irvine) and was also very happy with how all the paperwork was handled, particularly by Tahlia Ridley who was really awesome. GoogleOur experience has been fantastic. We used their services when looking to rent a property. They were extrememly helpful with and our application went through very quickly. We dwere helped by Rockina who was superb! She was super friendly and happy to answer all our many questions as first time renters. Everything was explained to us via email and they are really quick to answer the phone - no holding and clicking through options, they answer straight away. 10/10 would recommend!

GoogleHaving used WHB as my property management company for many years now and having recently taken on another property for management I have felt compelled to leave a review. I have had many different members of staff with WHB assist over the years but have found Rockina Wright, Lettings Negotiator and Julie Craig, Lettings Administrator in particular to have been persistently supportive and more than helpful with assistance in all situations. Their friendly approach coupled with very speedy responses and actioning of email enquiries have proved time and time again to be of absolute top quality customer service that you would hope for. Never have I felt unable to make contact either via phone or email and receive instant advice and guidance. Robin Brisley is also another great member of staff who has assisted brilliantly over the years too. All this has helped massively to support me and aid in decisions which in turn has allowed me to be able to get the best out of Letting and provide a clean, safe and happy environment for all my Tenants. I am very proud of my journey to become a double Landlord and being so new to it all 6 years ago with no prior knowledge or experience it has been aided so seamlessly along the way with the fantastic help and support of all staff of WHB at all times. However, the help and support most notably over this time provided by the very experienced Julie and Rockina have developed me to a point of great experience in the world of letting. I am very grateful and impressed with the service and therefore have no hesitation in highly recommending WHB and both Julie and Rockina for all their great work they do! Thank you very much!

GoogleHad a viewing with Robin and was very happy with everything. He was very friendly, personable and made us feel very comfortable, especially with covid precautions. The flat was beautiful and Robin allowed us to walk around in our own time and signed us up straight away once we'd made our decision. We then dealt with Rockina who has been absolutely lovely through the lettings process. I felt like we were bugging her every day but she really put us at ease and has been there every time we have contacted her to help with our questions. After careful consideration I decided to use the estate agent william h Brown to sell my house. After signing the agreement I was waiting 2 weeks for the photographs which I thought was way to long. When house finally went live It sold within a few days. After some weeks I heard nothing I was also using their solicitors Black's. My house was in joint names but I was the main name and stressed I would like all correspondence. I understand it has to be sent to both but it was all sent to my daughter from solicitor which she didn't notice as it was in her spam email. This delayed us by 2 weeks I was very angry as william brown had given them the details. I received no explanation so I dealt with Black's solicitor if I wanted updates etc the were absolutely brilliant. For the money estate agent charged I expected better service. I was not going to give a review however after weeks of completion I received a call off william brown asking if I lived at my old address and would I be interested in selling!!! I can't believe they still had me in their books and did not know I had completed what utter horrible and inconsiderate service. Hopefully I will not be selling in the future but will think very careful about who will sell my house.

Please take my advice and stay well away from these people. I have viewed a property through the Newark branch and made an offer to which I have waited over a week for a reply, only to call and be told it is sold with accompanying giggles.I arranged a viewing of another property and after a three-hour drive was told my fictious daughter had called and cancelled the viewing.There is something very wrong with these prople.

Please Please avoid the sudbury branch it seems that they put sold houses showing them as for sale and even keep up for the sale boards . I called about a property that has just been advertised on Rightmove only to be told it was sold two weeks ago and this is there internal process that they MUST advertise. This creates false advertising . Despite speaking to the Manager they feel what they are doing is correct , Rightmove is allowing this kind of behaviour.

Extremely unprofessional and disorganized team. I contacted this agency regarding a property to let. Michelle initially promised to arrange a viewing but never followed up. After chasing them myself, I finally spoke with another team member who scheduled a viewing, only for it to be for a completely different property than the one advertised on their website.
