TrustpilotI can’t recommend Chloe Satchell highly…
I can’t recommend Chloe Satchell highly enough! Buying a home can be such a stressful and overwhelming process, but Chloe made the whole mortgage side of things feel so much easier.
From the very beginning, Chloe was incredibly helpful, approachable and patient. She took the time to explain everything clearly, answer all of our questions and make sure we understood our options. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and she was always there when we needed advice or reassurance.
What really stood out was how supportive and proactive Chloe was throughout the process. She kept everything moving, communicated with me regularly and made me feel like we were genuinely in safe hands. Having someone knowledgeable and reassuring by your side makes such a difference when you're making such a huge decision.
Thanks to Chloe, what could have been a very stressful part of buying my home was made so much smoother and more manageable. I am incredibly grateful for all her hard work and would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a mortgage advisor.
Thank you so much, Chloe, for helping me get one step closer to my new home! 🏡❤️

Trustpilotlandlords steer clear
I am a landlord with two properties they looked after. For 18 months. on one property I was never paid my rent on time. I was always chasing for my money. There is no one in the office. You always have to leave a message and they don’t get back to you even my tenants had trouble reporting faults to the property as I said there was no one there for them so I would never get the message. I have had property for over 20 years and I have never come across a managing agent as bad as these. That is why I only stayed with them for 18 months. It would’ve been 12 months but you have to give them six months notice. Again I’ve never heard of that. My advice to landlords steer clear.

I had a very positive experience renting a flat in Peterborough through Sharman Quinney. The whole process was smooth, and the team was extremely helpful and professional from start to finish.
A special thank you to Ineta, who assisted me throughout. She was kind, approachable, and always willing to help with any questions or concerns I had. Her support made the entire experience much easier and less stressful.
I truly appreciate the excellent service and would highly recommend Sharman Quinney to anyone looking to rent a property.

I’ve had a fantastic experience working with Shaman Quinney as my letting agent. As I live quite far from the property, it was really important for me to have someone reliable managing everything and they truly delivered.
The whole process was smooth and stress-free from start to finish. They handled everything professionally, from finding the right tenant to taking care of all the paperwork, which gave me real peace of mind.
A special thank you to Naz, who was incredibly helpful throughout. She was always responsive, supportive, and made the entire letting process feel easy and well managed.
I would highly recommend Shaman Quinney to anyone looking for a trustworthy and efficient letting agent.

TrustpilotIgnored, Misled and Left Waiting Over 10 Months for Mould Repairs, 8 Months for Roof Repairs
My experience with Sharman Quinney Lettings has been one of the most stressful and unprofessional I’ve ever had as a tenant.
Sharman Quinney knowingly let the property in a state of disrepair, with visible mould and a leaking roof, as confirmed by the independent check-in inventory at the start of my tenancy. Despite this, they took no proactive action to address it and left me waiting over 10 months for mould repairs.
Emails show even the landlord admitted the mould was caused by the leaking roof, yet Sharman Quinney repeatedly delayed and gave contradictory explanations, at one point falsely claiming asbestos was present when the landlord had already confirmed there wasn’t.
Appointments were missed or arranged without notice, and when I explained a proposed date didn’t work, Repairs Manager ignored my request and insisted it would go ahead anyway, despite my disability and stated need for email communication.
When the repairs finally happened, they were unprofessional and unsafe, workers arrived without tools, used my personal broom to scrape mould, and left the area contaminated. My formal complaint about this was never logged, despite their policy requiring it.
To make matters worse, Sharman Quinney later falsely claimed to be a “third party” uninvolved in repairs, which is demonstrably untrue. Multiple emails show their direct coordination of contractors and repair schedules. It’s extremely concerning that a manager would knowingly make such a false claim despite overwhelming written evidence. Even though clear evidence shows the property was let with a leaking roof and mould, they offered no apology or compensation, highlighting poor service and an inadequate complaints process.
In short:
• Property knowingly let with mould and a leaking roof.
• 8 months waiting for repairs and 10 months for mould repairs
• Health hazards ignored.
• Appointments missed and communication poor.
• Complaint unrecorded.
• False denial of responsibility.

Trustpilot10/10 - above and beyond
I couldn't be happier with the service I received from Tawnee. Right from the start, she was really accommodating with the viewings and helped with the offer and negotiation stage.
Tawnee went over and above at every opportunity, particularly when we had difficulties with the seller's solicitors. I felt like Tawnee was doing the job of both parties and gave me all the reassurances I needed that the sale was still on track even when it didn't always feel like it. She chased and liaised with solicitors and the seller with the utmost professionalism, while still keeping me in the loop and really working on my behalf. She never made me feel like I was asking too much of her, and I was so grateful to have her at the end of the phone or email when I needed things to be sorted or clarity on the process (which at times was almost daily!). Without the issues on the seller's side we would have got the sale over the line in record time, mainly thanks the Tawnee.
My solicitor and the council were both singing Tawnee's praises and she's a credit to the company. I would definitely recommend Sharman Quinney to anyone looking for sale/purchase (they always picked up the phone, and the rest of the office were great at passing on messages), and if they're lucky enough to get Tawnee then I have no doubt it will be as good as my own experience!

The team at Sharmon Quinney has been amazing. They have helped us so much every step of the way. Lorraine has been particularly outstanding; we will highly recommend her. She has always been here for us, offering continuous support throughout the process. John and Kate have also been fantastic in helping us as first-time buyers. Thank you for helping me and my wife. TrustpilotUnfortunately
Unfortunately, my experience as a seller with Sharman Quinney Peterborough has been extremely disappointing.
During several months of marketing my property, there was almost no proactive communication or transparency. I received no regular updates about online interest, viewings, or feedback from potential buyers.
One particular buyer was allowed to make multiple unserious offers, first £335k, then £340k, then £345k, and finally £330k, while the agent did nothing to manage or filter this behaviour.
Instead of representing me as a seller, the agent repeatedly tried to pressure me to reduce my price, while doing little to promote or negotiate the property effectively.
No marketing strategy, no weekly reports, no clear plan, just silence and reactive communication.
I felt completely unrepresented and lost confidence in the process.
Based on my experience, I would strongly advise other sellers in Peterborough to think carefully before signing with this branch. You deserve an agency that actually works to sell your home, not one that simply passes messages back and forth

TrustpilotUsed the Peterborough Office
Used the Peterborough Office, absolute nightmare. They never made sure people seeing the property had a mortgage offer. The estate agent spent all of 2 minutes showing the property to prospective buyers, no selling it at all, just presenting the rooms, this is the kitchen, this is the bedroom what a farce. Kept my property with them for 3 months a couple of viewings and no sale, might be their terrible sales technique. Put it with Mandairs Peterborough and sold within 2 days, and that’s the difference between someone who can’t be bothered and someone that goes all out to sell a property. Save time and money and use Mandairs.

TrustpilotThey will never stop calling you
I have had two interactions with this company. I bought a property in 2018 marketed through them, and they failed to attend a valuation appointment in 2025. We have no ongoing business with them.
Despite being told on multiple occasions to delete all of our personal information from their databases, both me and my wife continue to receive unwanted phone calls. Based on our 2018 experience, we would never consider chosing to contract with them, the valuation in 2025 was just a private joke.

Bullshit excuses like the landlord hasnt got an email .the land lord has gone on holiday. The landlords signature was different. Still no return of deposit. We are now starting legal proceedings.

TrustpilotDealt with the Peterborough PE1 branch
Dealt with the Peterborough PE1 branch. Highly unprofessional and inexperienced staff. The man that came out to take photos and allegedly draw up a floor plan, failed to. The photos weren't so bad. No floor plan drawn up for several days, posted our property on their site without the floor plan. When it was done, the floor plan was totally incorrect! Then was promised call backs from the office but received nnone. Reported all this to the Manager Mike who said "take your property off with us then!" ????!!!! Shocking service, I guess if the manager is like that then what else can one expect. Worrying experience

GoogleJacob has been the most helpful and patient estate agent we've had the pleasure of dealing with, and believe me, there's been quite a few!
Jacob understood exactly the type of property we were looking for from our the first meeting. He suggested multiple properties that matched our criteria and were available for viewings, making our experience so much easier because we didn't have to spend hours trawling through properties sites anymore.
He was able to book the viewings at times that suited our needs and accomidated our every request.
If you're looking for an estate agent that will make your property search easy and stress free, look no further.

TrustpilotSharman Quinney Hampton
Sharman Quinney Hampton
I don't usually leave reviews, but having worked in estate agency myself and bought and sold several properties over the years, I feel I'm in a position to provide an informed and balanced perspective.
I chose Sharman Quinney on a fee of around 1% plus VAT, and unfortunately the level of service I received didn't justify that cost.
From the outset there were communication issues. I repeatedly tried calling the branch but couldn't get through. When I visited the office, I mentioned this and was told the phones were working. I then called the branch while standing there and none of the phones rang, clearly showing there was a problem. I was told it would be looked into, but I never received any follow-up.
When valuing my property, I was told there was already a list of potential applicants who may be interested. However, as far as I could tell, those applicants were never contacted. Instead, the marketing appeared to rely almost entirely on Rightmove and Zoopla rather than proactive matching from an applicant database.
Communication throughout the sale was disappointing. It was often difficult to get calls returned despite leaving voicemails and emails. Viewing feedback was another frustration. Rather than being contacted promptly after viewings, I regularly had to chase for feedback myself, sometimes waiting several days without hearing anything.
I was also disappointed with the handling of negotiations. We accepted an offer, only to discover around two weeks later that the buyers were still actively viewing other properties. The negotiator was aware of this but didn't make us aware before we accepted the offer. Had we known, it would have influenced our decision-making.
The communication with buyers also appeared lacking. When the buyers requested a second viewing, we declined because we no longer wished to proceed with them. Despite this, the buyers still arrived at our property at the agreed time, suggesting our decision had not been passed on.
Once the property was on the market, there was very little proactive contact from the branch unless I initiated it. As a client, I expected more regular updates, even if there had been nothing significant to report.
My final concern relates to security. After taking the property off the market, we collected our keys from the branch. We were not asked for any identification, proof of address, or even our names before being handed the keys. Given that these keys provide access to someone's home, I found this extremely concerning and below the standard I would expect from any estate agency.
I appreciate that buying and selling property is a complex process and that not every sale runs smoothly. However, my concerns relate primarily to communication, proactivity and basic procedures rather than the outcome itself. Based on my experience, I wouldn't use this branch again and hope this feedback is taken constructively to improve the service for future clients.

TrustpilotVery disappointed with the whole sales…
Very disappointed with the whole sales process. It started even before we entered into the contract, when the papers we were sent for signing had the wrong address for the property we were selling. Apparently the system wouldn’t allow them to select the correct address, but as we didn’t want to be seen to be selling someone else’s property we insisted on it being fixed, and after many emails back and forth it turned out it was in fact possible to update it to the correct address. That was just the beginning. It took several weeks to get the property on the market. The agency then published the wrong photos as well as wrong information about the property itself, which, although we spotted it immediately and asked them to take down the ad until the errors had been corrected, stayed up for another three days. Long enough to put potential buyers off. It then took another week if not more to get the agency to correct the ad (on two occasions one error was removed and another one added) and get it back online. During this period the agency were unresponsive and difficult to get hold of and it seemed as though they only made an effort when pushed. We, on the other hand, were growing impatient to get the property on the market after long delays. When the ad was finally up we noticed that the presentation video made up from the photos of the property, still contained the wrong photos, but by this time we were so fed up we just let it slide. What we really wanted was to move to another agency as soon as possible, but since Sharman Quinney has the longest sole agency period of any agencies we’ve encountered (24 weeks compared to the usual 12 weeks), we had no choice but to remain. In the end the property was not sold, they did not seem to make any efforts to market it but instead sat on their hands and waited for business to come to them. We also had no feedback during the process unless when we asked for it repeatedly, not even when we were told several viewings were booked and the potential buyers cancelled were we informed. It’s the worst agency we’ve dealt with and we were happy when we were finally able to move to a more professional one.

TrustpilotHouse searching
Earlier this year we were searching to buy a property in Oundle and desperate to move to the area. Linda McMullan is an outstanding estate agent. All the agencies we registered with made little to no contact with us and it was down to us to chase them to see if they had new properties coming to the market. This was not the case with Linda. Linda rang us weekly to see how our search was progressing, kept us informed of events happening in Oundle and what properties were coming to the market. She was formidable in our house search and even at the end when we found a property with another agent, Linda kept in touch and helped our transition to moving up to Northamptonshire. Linda is a total professional and with confidence I would happily sell any property via her as I know the service I received as a house seeker was professional, caring and supportive. Thanks very much Linda.

Listed a house no lender will offer mortgage on due to spray foam insulation rotting risk to the roof timbers.
& how can an estate agents, affiliated with Mind mental health, then call my loved one - who is autistic - and proceed to rudely carp at and lecture them ?
Why was this necessary? To tell them they were never going to be able to view the house, was never invited to a past open viewing and actually was Raunds really for them. What on earth’s the matter with you? The female making this call is in real need of training and human decency. I hope the regulators remove her rights to practice. What an absolute cretin. TrustpilotPersistent unwanted contact and gazumping
Over the last few months, I’ve been contacted around five times and repeatedly encouraged to make an offer on a property I viewed some time ago in Thrapston.
While I was interested initially, the persistent follow-up came across as overly pushy and, if anything, put me off pursuing it further.
I was also uncomfortable with what appeared to be an encouragement to gazump another buyer. At one point, I was told that someone had just made an offer that day and contacted to see whether I wanted to submit a higher one.
Rather than getting involved in a bidding situation after another buyer had already committed, I wished them the best of luck and declined.
Overall, the sales approach felt overly aggressive and left a negative impression.

As a first-time property buyer in the U.K., Chloe was instrumental in guiding us through the process from start to finish. Chloe was helpful during our searches, which ensured we made informed decisions. Chloe kept us informed every step of the way, and any questions we had (of which we had many) were clarified without hesitation or annoyance. There were hiccups along the way that were clearly communicated and resolved promptly. Overall, it was a pleasant and positive experience with Chloe from Sharman Quinney.

Chelsea was absolutely amazing in arranging viewings and getting our home arranging a valuation within 3 days from another branch from our area. She also arranged a mortgage advise appointment within the same week as we are first time buyers a lot of new information and legalities needed to be discussed noting was too much trouble. Chelsea was very patient and on the ball getting every appointment, piece information and knowledge we required. I have been very impressed with their selling & buying process and will be looking forward to working with Sharman Quinney in the future.
