TrustpilotDo not understand mechanics of property selling
I am not sure why anyone would give property to sell to these kind of agents in the market when they do not have decency to update on offer . I had a viewing on property Which I liked . Property is on the market for more than 6 months and reduced by 5% once . I put an offer by email and they do not bother to reply or update you on offer . This happens twice when I increased the offer . Probably this is the reason property is not sold. They do not communicate with buyers at all . I understand they do not get anything from buyer to have courtesy to reply him but as a seller how will I sell my property when they do not even communicate on offers made on my property . I will surely avoid giving my property to agent who has no interest to sell the property and who would not respect buyer as at the end of day seller needs buyer to sell property . Estate agent is just a middle man . Anyway this has encouraged me to set a website to review estate agents for buyers So that seller can decide themselves whom to give property for selling to achieve best price . Avoid Peterborough branch at any cost if you can

Had to give one star when wanted to give a zero.Sharman Quinney is a company to avoid at any cost. This estate agents sign you up for a 6 months contract when other agencies sign you upfor 3months.There is a 14 day cooling off periodwhich is law.For those 2 weeks there were numerous viewings and an offer which was accepted then after the 14 days the offer fell through as the buyers could apparently not get a mortgage. After that you are in a 6 month contract then the viewings were few and far between.when you chased them to ask them why it hasn’t sold when other houses in your street were sold with other agencies the lies then started and when the 6 months contract was almost at an end and you told them you would not be renewing it, the property had miraculously sold for considerable less than asking price.months after there was no completion date in sight and endless excuses l removed it off the market.

TrustpilotI had to give it 1 star as you can’t…
I had to give it 1 star as you can’t write a review otherwise, so in reality I give them 0 stars!! This company is an absolute sham!! Since the 10th July 2024 my elderly farther has been without hot water and heating, he is boiling pans and the kettle to wash his pots and pans, and carrying boiling water upstairs so he can have some kind of a wash!!! This is absolutely ridiculous disgusting and unacceptable, this company don’t give a fig, all you get is ‘oh, I’ve only just been given this case’ or ‘we are trying to contact the landlord’, this is utter rubbish.Duty of care, none existent !! If you are a landlord I advise you stay away from this farse of a company and seeking renting or selling elsewhere, if you were looking to rent or buy, forget it, stay as far away from this …( I can’t even call it a company)… array of people that do or don’t answer phones or emails under the name of sharman Quinny. My 0 stars stands firm! Avoid at all costs.

TrustpilotPlease avoid using Sharman Quinney…
Please avoid using Sharman Quinney under any circumstances. If I could have given no stars I would have, there is nothing good that can be said about this agency. It's honestly the worst agency I have ever come across and I've been in the industry myself for 14 years now. They cannot even carry out basic due diligence when advertising a property so be prepared to be misinformed. One property was advertised as both freehold and leasehold, when we phoned to check we were told it was freehold, but it turned out through our solicitor it did have a lease too. They also didn't know the seller was only selling with a limited title not a full one, something that again only came to light through our solicitor six months later, a complete waste of everyone's time that could have been avoided if Sharman Quinney could be bothered to get to know the sellers and the houses they are selling better. The property we eventually ended up buying was advertised as having allocated off road parking. When we phoned to check this we were told this was definitely correct. Common sense told us this didn't seem right as none of the properties there had parking and the space was no where near the house! It turned out this was not the case at all and there was no parking with the house. It no longer fitted our needs however as this all happen several weeks down the line, and we were due to be made homeless in a matter of weeks, we simple had no choice but to proceed. Sharman Quinney's response to this was 'we take the word of our sellers' so it seems they will believe anything you tell them as a seller, despite the fact common sense should have made any competent agent question the parking situation in this case. Sharman quinney are the only agency I know to get away with not carrying out basic due diligence. You will never be able to get hold of anyone at the branch, we had to phone another branch on many occasions to get them to contact the Shelford office for us, they don't reply to any phone calls or emails. They have a turn over of staff every few weeks, you are not told when someone is leaving nor introduced to someone new starting. The person starting will also have no clue what's going on with the sale so be prepared to constantly have to repeat yourself. They do not bother giving you any updates or chase a sale for you, complete laziness. They will be sitting on their personal mobile phones everytime you drive past. When we raised a complaint about their shortfallings and appalling service, we didn't get a single apology. How this agency is still running honestly baffles me, at the very least the Shelford branch should not be allowed to continue practicing.

Avoid! I am renting from them the property is infested with mould they told me to ventilate the mould out! I have autoimmune disease I can’t live in those conditions they refuse to give me landlord details to speak to them directly. They rude and unprofessional. No repairs nothing is being done. I have 5 months of lease left and I lost all my belongings to mould. They by far the worse letting agents in Peterborough! Avoid at all cost !

TrustpilotAVOID SHARMAN QUINNEY
Sharman Quinney should be avoided at all costs.I used the PETERBOROUGH OFFICE and this review is based on the many staff that I have dealt with over the years - Their staff turnover seems to be immense. They get their 1 star for selling their services very effectively and for efficiently taking your money but when it comes to providing a service, they are shocking. We have used them as a property management company and have had two tenants. Our tenants actually had to find me on social media to let me know what was happening and to get things sorted in the house as Sharman Quinney hadn’t done their job. In my experience, over 4 years, they never carried out any requests that we had without a very long winded fight. They have over charged us, taken tax when they shouldn’t have have caused us countless sleepless nights and have cost us thousands of pounds that we needn’t have paid ( which we are still trying to get back) They will take any money that they feel that they are owed out of the rent that they take so you cannot hold anything back from them and even when the tenants don’t pay the rent that they owe, the still aren’t that bothered to sort it out for you. I could keep going for pages about the unbelievable incompetences that we have experienced, but instead I can only urge you to go with any other Estate agents. Having read some other reviews, it would appear that my experience is not unusual.

Never, Never, Never give your details to this company. They will call, text and email you even when you have asked on repeated occasions to be removed from their database. TrustpilotIncompetent!
Personally, I no longer rate this organisation and no longer use their services. However, I have had the unfortunate experience of Sharman Quinney Stamford, being part of a very stressful chain! After 5 months I had to stop the sale of my property. And the responsibility lies firmly with the management at their Stamford Office. They were unwilling to help in supporting the sale, with comments ‘stop chasing on xxxxxx as it’s taken up too much of our time’ . This negative behaviour has been demonstrated, throughout this very stressful process .Not only have they let me down, they have seriously let down their vendor and the purchaser of the property they were selling.Feedback to the leadership team at this organisation is ‘it’s very easy to sell a property in the current climate. But it takes skill and competence to get them over the line. Which you are clearly lacking’Lesson to self. If this organisation ever happens to be apart of my chain in future house sales. Sorry, you wont be buying my house!

TrustpilotSharman Quinney Peterborough, Morally and Ethically Bankrupt
I made the huge mistake of inviting this bunch of cowboys around to value my Mother's property, in June 2020, as I needed to sell it in order to fund her Dimentia care. They were not appointed and the property was sold by another agent.Since this time I have received a call from them around once every two to three months asking about the property and every time I informed them it was sold and would they refrain from any future contact.I can only conclude that the company is either essentially incompetent and unable to maintain appropriate and up to date records or ( more likely) the business model is largely based upon relentless and ill-considered harassment - a pattern of behaviour executed over time resulting in an adverse effect on the recipient. My Mum passed away three days ago and around ten minutes ago I got a call from them asking about her property and whether it had been sold.I only answered the call because It was a Peterborough number and I'm speaking to the Hospital, Registrar and Funeral Director, all of whom are based in Peterborough.I returned the call on the same number from which the previous caller had rung, in some distress and was told by someone who's lack of empathy and human engagement aptly qualified her to work for an estate agent, that I needed to re-dial and press one on the options list.So That's Sharmann Quinney, clearly happy to hound the living daylights out of you to the grave and beyond.Whilst I appreciate that a lack of humanity or moral compass are viewed as positive character traits in this profession, this has to be a new low.......

TrustpilotDO NOT USE THESE ESTATE AGENTS
If I could give no stars I would. I am a first time buyer who has a mortgage in principle and a deposit ready, which I got through an independent mortgage broker. I had a found a property and put in my first ever offer which should be an exciting time instead I was told I needed to meet their mortgage broker to do checks before going ahead with the offer. However this is not legal! Be warned, they are bullies and try and use your lack of knowledge to make you do things that are not required. I rang my mortgage broker who rang them to inform them that checks had already be complete so this was not needed. They then did put my offer forward however I got a phone call to say it was rejected on the grounds I had not gone with their mortgage broker and the vendor wanted that security. I then explained that I have a mortgage in principle so checks have been complete if I do another check it can effect my credit so why would I do another one. I then upped my offer, I waited 4 days to hear back. I chased and ended up arguing with Rowena saying that they are bullying me into something I don't need to do and trying to make out that its something I have to do. I got an answer in the end saying my offer had been rejected as the vendor wanted the full asking price. So why wasn't I told this when the first offer was rejected? Do not use Sharman Quinney they are awful greedy people wanting bonuses for the house sale and for the mortgage.

Trustpilotviewing as prospective investor.
Hi I recently had a viewing which was conducted by your sales agent Milly Watling, who is based at your Newark Ave branch.I am happy to report that she was professional throughout and got back to me as requested and has been able to answer any queries I have had along the way. She was friendly and helpful, but was not too pushy in a way that some agents can be......... Many thanks for your help Milly.

TrustpilotPlease avoid and find another agent
Please avoid and find another agent. The valuation was all good and chase ups came thick and fast to get us to put our house up for sale. 6 months on and not one call or chase up. Absolutely no communication skills at all. If they deal with buyers the same way then they will sell next to nothing. My wife and I have sold maybe 20 houses over the years and without doubt this has been the worst agent so far even after making allowances for Covid issues. Doesn’t deserve a 1 star review but that’s lowest you can give.

I am a mortgage advisor, and so, professionally, i must deal with quite a few agents. I also went through personally, over 40 properties in all my life, residential and buy to let, and i think this make me quite an expert in this trade.I really don't have any doubt in saying that Sharman Quinney has been one of the best experiences i had till now. Not just professionalism but also deep personal commitment from any single member of staff. Special mention for Carrigan, who i bother so many times for so many details and she never lost her smile and positive attitude. Thanks to all of youRoberto
