I recently purchased a house that was sold by Hurfords. From my very first phone call enquiring about the property for sale to the moment I collected my keys, the ladies who I spoke to and met were simply amazing! When I put my initial offer in, Liza was efficient, friendly and helpful. She kept me updated throughout. Replying quickly and keeping me informed. Caitlin showed me around the property three times and each time she was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Nothing was too much hassle. I hope to stay in my new home for many years but if I ever decide to sell, I would 100% sell via Hurfords and would recommend to anyone. Thank you Liza and Caitlin.

Moving home is never an easy trouble free business but I can honestly say that Poppy and Grace at Hurfords helped me through every bit of required information, every exasperation and even the odd tear! They chased up documents and pushed the chain along and finally got me settled, as well as doing the same for the rest of the purchasers. Just completed on a purchase of a home. Helen managed the sale side of things. Long time waiting if the offer has been passed-on, or the seller was not responding, not kept posted. Contact was via a office landline, didn't feel like I was getting through, so switched to direct emails & everything was okay. Mortgage lady Michelle Dunmore was absolutely great. She did all her research for what I wanted & the meeting became more of a formality in agreeing the product.

Followed the address on the website and it took me to the middle of no where called the number and no one picked up. I then arrived and no one was working and just chatting and said they are busy that’s why no one answered the call. I’ve been dealing with this company for 1 month and no one ever picks up the phone. Very difficult company to deal with. Management or the boss please look into the staff very unprofessional.

Extremely disappointing experience with Hurfords Castor throughout my purchase process. What should have been a straightforward communication chain turned into months of chasing, repeated follow-ups and broken promises of “we’ll call you back” that rarely materialised. The most frustrating part has not even been the complexity of the transaction itself, but the complete lack of ownership and urgency despite the fact that my mortgage expiry date was clearly communicated multiple times. I repeatedly found myself having to: chase updates that were promised but never provided follow up multiple times on simple requests contact the office to find out who was even covering the file when the assigned agent was unavailable ask several times for communications to simply be forwarded to the seller At this stage of the transaction, with only days remaining before mortgage expiry, I still found myself struggling to get basic callbacks and confirmations. Reading other reviews, I can unfortunately see that many people appear to have experienced very similar issues around communication and follow-through. Buying a property is stressful enough without clients having to constantly manage the estate agency themselves just to keep momentum on the transaction. I have attached asked the director to intervene at the end of January 2026. It is now May and I still haven't got any replies, nor witnessed any improvements in their client service.

Michelle Dunnmore, has been fantastic throughout! As a first time buyers we had very little understanding of how to go about applying for a mortgage. We have recently completed the purchase of a property listed by Hurfords. Helen, from the Castor office, was our point of contact. We first met during the viewing of a different property. That property did not meet our needs, but Helen took the time to understand exactly what we were looking for, sought to understand, discussed the current market and how our expectations could be met. This is exactly what you want from an Agent. It's all well and good using Rightmove or Zoopla, but local knowledge and insights are something that only an excellent Agent will use to good effect. Even during some of the more difficult days of the conveyancing process (and they happen!) Helen was professional and understanding, focussing on solutions rather than going around in circles. She understood the balance between serving her clients (the vendors) and meeting the needs of the purchasing customer. Thank you Helen for all of your help in securing our new home.

I have no complaints! I found a house which was being marketed by Hurfords which seemingly I loved and that I thought would suit my family before our now previous house was even on the market! Within a couple of days mine was also up for sale with these guys. We set a 2 week deadline for an open house due to the fact that we already knew what we wanted. We had some interest before this day although it was the open house day where we eventually found our buyer. My initial contact was through Josh who was extremely optimistic regarding the sale of my now previous property. I then had most of my communication with Helen, Sandy and Linzi who I will add that I can not speak highly enough for! These girls are outstanding. The sale and purchase had the usual couple of delays. I was fortunate that we was not involved in a big chain. The team did their upmost when these delays occurred and once we finally completed 6 weeks ago I felt that they really were happy for my family and I which I think is a great touch!

Since then they call me all the time, despite me repeatedly (at least 10 times now) telling them to delete all my information from their files and not contact me anymore.
