GoogleFantastic service from Charles and the team at City & County! Charles listened to our needs (even remembering that we had a much beloved piano that would need to come with us!) and was attentive, accommodating and so efficient in everything he did. GooglePlanning a relocation to Peterborough, we contacted Alessio at C&C estate agents to arrange some property viewings. Alessio was great at organising these for us and making sure we could visit as many properties as possible in the time we had in Peterborough. At the properties we met Callum and later Siobhan who were both great and patient while we looked around the properties. After the viewings Alessio kindly followed up with us. GoogleThree weeks after meeting Callum Hannah at the valuation appointment, I accepted an asking price offer on my property and seven weeks later, bearing in mind solicitors were closed for two of those weeks for the festive period, the sale had completed. Callum priced precisely. He has a very good knowledge of the property market and similar properties' values. You can trust his advice. Everybody I spoke to or communicated with in the office, was helpful and informative. I received feedback and the agents chased up viewers. I was kept updated throughout. Callum Wilkins, Callum Atkinson, Alessio, Eniola and Shevonne were particularly helpful and Giovanni and Pasqui in the latter stages. Thank you.

GoogleAfter a tricky start with his colleagues, Vito took the reigns and went above and beyond to get us over the line. It was a very messy, frustrating chain with a number of challenges along the way from a chain perspective, but Vito kept us informed all the way, daily at times and was a real pleasure to deal with.

GoogleAVOID Callum Wilkins at any cost !!!!! I had a very disappointing experience with this agency during a recent attempt to make an offer on a property. The communication felt extremely pressured and unprofessional, especially during a phone call with one of their sales negotiator, Callum Wilkins. At several points, I felt pushed into increasing my offer beyond what I intended, and the conversation left me feeling uncomfortable and rushed rather than supported. This is not how a property purchase should feel. Buying a home is stressful enough without being pressured or made to feel intimidated during the process. The experience was negative enough that we decided to withdraw our offer entirely and step away from the purchase. I also did not appreciate the persistent attempts to push their mortgage services on us, despite clearly stating that we already had our own adviser. The whole interaction left us with no confidence in continuing with this agency.

GoogleI would recommend city and county to anyone that’s looking to buy or sell a house. I have spoken to most of staff at the Peterborough branch and all of them have been extremely helpful. They have always gone above and beyond to get my house sold as quickly as possible for the right price. They worked very hard to get people into my property and due to this managed to sell it in just 3 weeks! I would like to say thank you to all of the staff again.

GoogleI purchased a new home and sold my current home with City and County Estate Agents.Everyone from start to finish were fantastic.Callum,Donato,Giovanni,Natasha,Vito and Pasqui,the whole team where caring ,efficient and professional I couldn’t of asked for anything more. I also decided to use their conveyor Christi Hayes and was blown away with how she handled the entire process.The transaction of selling and buying took a little over 8 weeks from my first viewing to completion.The communication was excellent and response to any questions or concerns was always the same day if not within the hour of sending an email. I cant thank Sales Progression Manager Susan Beaney enough for all her hard work, going above and beyond to try and get me moved nothing was too much trouble thank you so much for everything you did to try and resolve the complex problems. Also Andrew in lettings has been so helpful arranging for me to rent the property short term so that I had a roof over my head. And to Giovanni for his help and advice regarding selling my property after my purchasers pulled out two weeks before the planned move arranged through another Estate Agent had failed. GoogleThis is by far the worst experience I have had with a letting agency. I was warned by a previous tenant (a professional I might add)- they wanted to charge him in excess of £100 for leaving buckets under the sink which was there when he moved in! From the start the customer service was appealing. The woman was quite aggressive on the phone and to summarise, I had taken issue with the fact that they left the washing machine in the garage and expected me, a young woman on my own (not that women can't but I couldn't), to put it into place and connect it up to the pipes! That was/is not my job. They also left a mouldy fridge in the middle of the kitchen! I felt so intimidated by how this City and County employee spoke to me as I don't deal with aggressive unprifessional people generally especially when that behaviour is uncalled for. Eventually she apologised however it is clear she is just a nasty person. Fast forward to leaving the property they wanted to charge me £160 for cleaning and fixing an item that was broken on moving in. It had to be taken to an adjudicator (a long drawn out process made longer by City and County's deliberate slow response time) for it to be resolved which resulted in me £120 back. WARNING- take a photo of every single item on moving in, as proof, you will need it. It is my conclusion that this sort of behaviour is condoned from the top. They will try to take some of your deposit regardless of how good a tenant you are and the condition you've left the property, with their bogus claim in order to get any, any amount of money from you that they can. We are sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction in the level of service you have received from us, Essentially, the Check Out report following the conclusion of Tenancy revealed works that were required to put the property back into the same condition as it was prior to commencement. In an ideal world, the property would have been left in the same condition, cutting out the whole deposit resolution process which would have enabled the deposit to be released shortly after. With reference to photographs, we indeed take them and lots of them, all throughout the property which you as a Tenant then have seven days to acknowledge. (With reference to taking your own, these would be inadmissible as evidence as of course the whole point of the process is for both parties to acknowledge and agree. Most importantly, they must be taken BRFORE commencement of Tenancy). This report is then combined with the Final Inspection where again, photographs are taken throughout the property and then both reports are combined in order to produce a summary of any works required. As Agents, we must then report our findings back to you and the Landlord at which point discussions take place as to the manner in which the deposit should be settled together with obtaining costings from contractors. As you did not agree with the report, the matter was referred to the ADR via the Deposit Protection Service. Unfortunately, this process was significantly drawn out largely due to the pandemic which caused knock on effects with contractors and we must also add that the Landlord had delayed in coming back to us. Following resolution via the ADR, an award was still made in favour of the landlord albeit at a reduced amount. In terms of the amount invoiced, we can only report on costings we receive from contractors. It is then the decision of the ADR as to how much of that cost they feel should be attributed to the Tenant. We would like to highlight that as a family owned and run, Independent Letting Agency, it is certainly not our intention to act in any dishonest way as you had suggested in your review as our reputation is extremely important to us. The lady you referred to at commencement of Tenancy no longer works with us and so we cannot follow up with her with regards to the level of service you feel that you received however we must add that having served the Peterborough and surrounding market for forty Thank you for your feedback which we take very seriously.
