Awful experience

Awful experience. They kept losing my details. Finally booked a property valuation, but then no-one bothered to turn up. Instead of apologing for wasting my time they described it as a "miscommunication", did not offer to come out that day or the day after, but in a week's time. If they don't want the chance to sell a beautiful cottage with a large garden and awesome views they clearly aren't going to make any effort to sell a property. Lucky escape - but a huge waste of my time.

I recently brought the property I was renting and although the process was not the normal it was as smooth as it could be. The rental and sales teams were both so fab. When I was a tenant problems were fixed quickly and when buying the sale teams were fantastic at communicating about the progress and in getting the sale through as quickly as they could. Very greatful for the whole team, Ellie and Laura especially.

Miller in Penzance were fantastic when helping me move into a new property. James was brilliant from the start. He kept me well informed of any and all changes and repeatedly went above and beyond to ensure everything was going ahead properly. He liased with the landlords brilliantly, even ensuring that I would get vouchers for painting the house, something he didn't have to do. I couldn't recommend them more, both James and Laura were fab and should I move again I'll definitely be in touch with them before any other estate agent. Absolutely appaulling! Reported that our house was flooding 2 months ago. Landlady wasn't even informed. 2 months on we are still waiting for work to be done! Water has started coming in again and it stinks of piss! This was reported to them this morning. Someone was meant 2 turn up and hasnt! They are ignoring my emails and I'm just absolutely disgusted. Especially as they are well aware of the fact we have 2 kids and a 3rd on the way! Now going through legal action! Not a chance in hell we will ever be going through them again!

Placed my property for sale with MillerCountrywide Penzance back in April 2023 with an ‘Offers Over’ notice on the price, and a guarantee from the staff that any potentials will have been checked to ensure they had funds. First visitors said they did not have the budget, so do not know why they visited. Second made an offer below price, which I turned down as was told the price was based on offers over. Since then there has been 1 visit, over a week ago, I am still waiting after calling the agents 3 times for an update on how the visit went.

The initial meeting discussing mortgage options went well, but after learning of our income and budget and what could be lent, all interest in helping us dwindled. There was no enthusiasm or help in getting us a mortgage. My partners pregnancy was used against us as a reason that we may not be able to get a mortgage due to maternity pay. We were told we could only borrow a small amount from lenders and it had to be now as closer to the due date we would most likely be declined. We had a large deposit and yet we were not taken seriously. We were sent only one property to look at which was not even suitable to our needs. Emails went unanswered and we just got the feeling that we weren’t valued as potential customers, so we went elsewhere and secured a mortgage with no issue. Terrible service, would not recommend.
