We chose David Baker to sell our late father’s house. At all stages we received excellent service from everyone involved. In particular Craig liaised between us, the buyers and solicitors extremely effectively. We especially appreciated his flexibility, availability and willingness to help and steer the way through our dealings with the challenging number of questions and requests from our buyers and their solicitors. This he did with grace, respect and empathy and he eased a potentially difficult process seeminly effortlessly. We always felt he was on our side. Thank you Craig. We were also extremely impressed by the first class photos. We would highly recommend David Baker and will certainly use them again

I have known and have used David Baker Estate Agents in my local area for a very long time, it is a very well established firm from Sales to Lettings of your property, most importantly built on trust and honest customer service. I have recently switched my letting from another estate agent to DB estate agents due to me having trouble with the previous agents dishonesty. I called up DB and was put through to Alison who deals with Lettings, I explained my situation, and Alison was very helpful to explain to me in detail how to go about switching over and what I had to do. The details and requirements which was all dealt with very smoothly along with the good communications which is key. I had to make sure that myself and my tenants were protected from any misunderstandings in which the previous agents failed at, the switch over was dealt with in a legal and professional manner of what I expect. Also knowing that I’m in good hands with DB going forward. Once again big thanks to Alison and keep up the good work 👍🏻. I do recommend this firm seeking professional and honest advice for selling your home or letting your property through them.

The support we had from David Baker (we bought through them) was excellent. Craig went the extra mile from our first viewings all the way through to post-sale. In such an incredibly stressful situation Craig’s outstanding support was just what we needed - chasing things up, notifying us of changes and facilitating meetings with the vendor. But the main thing Craig does is difficult to describe. He just knows when to step in and he knows what support is needed. We didn't end up purchasing with David Baker due to unforeseen complication near to completion, however we feel we need to write a review on how good they're. Most estate agents view every interaction as a single event and can be quite abrupt and unprofessional, some even lying about houses and offers and don't appreciate even if you're not a customer of theirs at this time, you could well be in the future. I'm glad to say this is not the case with David Baker. Craig,Charles,Debbie were great - whilst they obviously put the vendor 1st, they treated every viewing & communication with us in a very professional way. Even though we didn't purchase with them we have already recommended them twice to friends and they would definitely be our 1st point of contact if we ever come to sell our house in Penarth in the future. Their staff are really a credit to their company

We had our house valued by Charles because we wanted to buy ourselves out of the Help to Buy scheme. It was valued at £410,000. Our neighbour's house, which is exactly the same, has just gone on the market for £395,000. I'm not sure why our house was valued at £10,000 more than the neighbour's; it's the same house but 10ft to the left. I mentioned at the time that it seemed like an overvaluation. We obviously have to pay 20% of the valuation to repay the Help to Buy, so we were disappointed and still think £410,000 is a high valuation for our property compared to others on our estate. Update: We just had our house valued, and they agreed it was significantly overvalued. We've been advised to seek legal advice regarding the poor valuation.

Estate agents get a bad rep! And rightly so, as some of them are complete shysters. Not so the team at David Baker & Company. They have hit on a winning formula, balancing age and experience, with youth and enthusiasm, for the property market. Quite simply they do a cracking job for people buying and selling property in Penarth. Every single aspect of the sale of my house was managed professionally, from the constant contact and checking about viewings, through to the showing of the house, and finally on to selling the property whilst being constantly kept informed of progress. Two special mentions: Hannah who had to deliver bad news when a potential buyer pulled out, but did so with grace and good humour, and then continued to deliver perfect viewing experiences for other potential buyers. And Craig who was an absolute superstar throughout. He kept me informed at every stage; provided reassurance when necessary, and always went the extra mile to sort every little detail out. He made what could have been an extremely stressful experience seem easy! Thanks Team David Baker. Keep up the good work!
