I contacted the firm along with a number of other agents in the Penarth area about selling my property and very fortunately ended up speaking to Rob the Senior Manager. He was extremely responsive, well ahead of his competitors. His 30 year plus experience really shone through at all times. Within days he had visited me to discuss requirements and pricing and demonstrated his comprehensive local knowledge of the market in deriving a selling figure ahead of my expectations. From his extensive contact and mailing lists he identified a prospective purchased who viewed the property ahead of the property being advertised! He clearly identified the right person as after a sole viewing and comprehensive negotiations on his part he had arranged the sale. Happy days! He couldn’t have been more professional and thorough. Very many thanks Rob you are a credit to your profession.

The letting team is brilliant and always ready to help especially ( Amy)but the maintenance team left a sour taste in my mouth that I will not forget in a hurry, it was such a terrible experience, I am yet to recover from the trauma the property caused me and maybe one day I will have the strength and time to put it up here and even take it further because I am not done with them yet.

If there was a ‘0’ I would give it one, I call in with friend to see if there was any House for Rent, soon I mentioned it the guy with Beard just decided to disappear at the back of the Estate agent which he had no interest and the old guy only took my number and e-mail.. which I never received any information from them, which I find it unprofessional they had no interest the end of the day there job is to help people find a place for Rent:.. But not Allen and Harris Estate: Very unprofessional they need to be more friendly to customers which both of them weren’t… in this kind of job:.. You’ve have to be.. it is Law…. If you don’t enjoy why work there…

*Thinking about letting?* The in-house team here is fantastic - no complaints there. However, once your tenancy is secured, management is handed over to 'Sequence', and that’s where things start to decline. From poor service and slow communication to a general lack of knowledge from staff, the experience becomes not so pleasant. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but if this helps another landlord avoid unnecessary hassle, it's worth sharing.

I have recently applied for a tenancy via Allen & Harris and have been liaising with Lisa the Lettings Manager. Lisa has been absolutely amazing, she has maintained contact with me throughout the process. Literally from finding my house online, and making touch with Lisa, the process has been so smooth. Lisa contacted me, sent me through the details and has hand-held me through the process personally. I am now hoping to move in to my new home on 30/06/2020 and this will be all thanks to how brilliant, professional and communicative Lisa has been. Absolutely shocking ! * DO NOT USE * They completely messed things up for us and didn’t give their client the correct information from the solicitors when moving. Staff are also lazy when doing viewings. One guys literally opened a door then spent the entire time on his phone. He knew nothing about the property. Once we finally completed they aloud the vendor to leave a key behind an open window at the property rather than hand it to us or collect from the office. Shocking to this we just bought a new house and it was left unsafe because the agent was too lazy to collect the key. Phone calls with this agent were also very challenging… at one point I was told my an agent “the electrics look fine” Awful to think an agent is giving sellers advice on electrics. In fact when we got it check by an electrician it had some very unsafe wires that needed replacing. They have more member of staff who good and that’s Jo, he’s a good egg but The rest are awful

I approached Allen & Harris after two prospective sales of my house had fallen through with another agent. From the start the staff were very proactive and made me feel confident that my sale would be a priority and have their full attention. Initially I dealt with Sara, who was very helpful and got the ball rolling quickly. After that Janeal dealt with the sale and throughout was proactive, with great communications and frequent updates about the progress of the sale. Requests for information were always dealt with the same day. Janeal and all the staff in Penarth are friendly and very positive, so despite the inevitable ups and downs of a house sale I always felt everything was being done to ensure the sale would be completed as quickly as possible. Based on the service I received, I have changed the letting of my rental property to Allen & Harris. They were recommended to me by a friend who is an estate agent and I would certainly recommend them to anyone looking to buy, sell or rent.

We rented out our flat in Cardiff and took the full management service. Great throughout and at the end when unfortunately the deposit had tobe claimed back.
