we have a couple of houses that we let using Premier and after all that has happened over the past few months with increased fees, student fee bans they have stayed highly competitive and very professional through it all. they have always impressed myself and my partner with their quick response to issues and maintaining a professional manor, Charlie is always at the end of a phone for a chat and feels like he truly listens, so thank you and keep up the positive work as a lot of the larger estate agents in oxford do not go out of their way to help as much as you guys do !

We rented out our property with Premier for two years and - thereafter - put it up for sale with them. Throughout the rental, we were most impressed by the owner - Charlie - specifically by his professionalism throughout (regardless of the lack of diplomacy from my end, on occasion). This, I've come to find, is a very rare quality in any business in the current day and age. The property was tenanted with good people, well looked after and - bar a few glitches which were acknowledged, apologised for and resolved - we had no issues in the two years. We made sure to contact the tenants directly to ensure they were happy and were reassured by their positive responses. Any issues the tenants raised were dealt with extremely swiftly. When we came to sell the property, everything was carried out to the highest standard, the tenants were treated with due care and respect with regards to viewings and Premier did their best to sell it. When we decided to go to a multi agency approach, due to the slow-down in the property market, they worked collaboratively with the other agency. Not once did they try to make things difficult for us, especially since we were still renting through them and all viewings had to be organised with Premier. Once the property had sold, we still needed Premier's help on a couple of things, and despite no longer being compensated for the time, Charlie and the team still answered all questions quickly and professionally. Overall, we were happy, the tenants were happy and everyone felt cared for. Having numerous times been a tenant, a seller and a landlord, we would confidently recommend Premier.

I recommend Tom Mizen (Residential Sales Manager) highly. He is very professional and really knows about selling houses. He has been an enormous help, all the way from our first discussion, to completion of the sale. In fact a period of over a year because there was so much to do in the house to bring it up to its optimum state for sale. I relied on him for his excellent advice and help in finding tradesmen for the many jobs needed around the house. When we came to discuss a selling price, I felt I could accept his recommended asking price as I knew he had thoroughly researched the local market. Within 5 days of my house appearing on the market he had achieved more than the asking price, So I am very satisfied!

If you rent privately through Premier you pay a great deal of money for the privilege of being treated like a piece of s**t. If you're lucky you get rude and unhelpful responses to your queries, although often they will simply ignore you. Unless you can afford a solicitor to enforce your rights as a tenant (which you probably can't if you have to rent from a third-rate business like Premier), they will regularly and blatantly ignore their contractual obligations. So be prepared to encounter strangers poking around your flat if you return from work unexpectedly during the day ("Didn't Premier tell you we were coming?" - they usually don't), or having to climb over bicycles, discarded furniture and bags of rubbish blocking the communal areas on your way to the front door or your flat. Oxford is generally kinder to its students and visitors than to its permanent residents, and Premier is a depressing example of this issue.

Sold our house through Premier's Tom Mizen. Once we signed up, Tom was always available on the phone and also promptly responded to non-urgent texts. Kept us informed every step of the way and chased both sides' solicitors when they were dragging things out. In fact Tom did more to liaise with us and speed things up than either solicitors! I normally don't give 1 star reviews but in this case Richard said he'll forward my application to the landlord and that he'll contact me back within one day. He then took a few days holiday during which I wasn't able to contact him. When he came back he sent me an email saying he's sorry that I have "missed out on this occasion". I think he might've been slightly responsible for me "missing out". edit: Oooh! They seem to have replied by saying “we feel that we are fair and reasonable”, let me reply back: how about not treating renters like **** and instead of having 10 applicants where obviously 9 of them will be disappointed you treat them on a first-come-first-served basis?? Once a person says “yes” and you make sure they are suitable, you stop having viewings? How about that? How about you don’t take advantage of high demand and instead treat your fellow human beings with a shred of respect instead of going full-blown capitalist on them? Would that seem “fair and reasonable”?

Richard at Premier Lettings is one of the most efficient and helpful letting agents we have encountered in Oxford. He replied to all our mails within 1-3 hours, he sacrificed his lunch-time so that we can have a viewing the day after we contacted him the first time and even after making the agreement on the property he provided us with a second viewing so that we can make detailed plans on the furnishing of the apartment. Now that we have moved in, the property management team is taking care of all our minor difficulties that everyone encounters in the first couple of weeks, and all of our problems are dealt with within 0-1 day (thank you Luisa!). Excellent service, highly recommended!

Everyone working at Premier was friendly and approachable. However, there was a lack of proactivity and it was seemingly very understaffed. They were very difficult to contact via email for maintenance requests, and once contacted would then need several follow ups before the maintenance was carried out (some never did even after waiting 6 months). I was disappointed with the way the end of my tenancy was carried out, it was hard to liase with the agents to carry out the change of tenant, and the two week process ended up taking 5 weeks. Friendly agents but with a time management issue.
