All the negative reviews on here have a running theme, I wished I had listened. Extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism and accountability in managing my tenancy. I was referred to this agency by word of mouth, but unfortunately, my experience has been far from positive. There were several instances where staff conduct felt underhanded and lacking transparency. Despite being told an inventory had been taken, they failed to follow through when damage to my property occurred during the tenancy. I had to carry out substantial repairs myself, even after providing clear invoices and evidence. When it came to claiming compensation from the deposit, there was little to no proactive effort on their part, surprising, given how eager they were to take on the business initially. I regret choosing this agency and am leaving this review so others can make a more informed decision and hopefully avoid the same issues.

They have been incredibly friendly, honest, professional, and communicative. They have genuinely tried to make the sales process as painless as possible for me as a seller. Lee, James and Dan at Firmin & Co Orton Waterville were excellent to deal with from start to finish. I had to sell my mother's house following her death in May and the team made sure that the whole process went as smoothly and painlessly as possible for me. I was initially particularly impressed by how quickly Lee both took the house photos and had the property posted on the website the same day. It sold the following day. They kept me informed every step of the way and always responded helpfully to queries. I cant fault the service I have had from James at the Orton Waterville office of Firmin and CO. Even on his day off he would reply to my messages and kept open communication all through lockdown when times were crazy with Covid. The thing I loved the most was they didnt try and tie us into any crazy contracts as the proof was in the pudding they sold our house in days of it going on the market. What a pleasurable experience it was to purchase my new home through Firmans, Orton Waterville. From enquiry to completion the service from Lee and his team was excellent. Sold my house with them. Lee was the guy who dealt with the sale and valuation. Great relaxed guy, very easy to get on with. The company were fantastic always keeping me up to date even when nothing was happening. They always return calls. I used them to do the viewings and a colleague always took a new member of staff round the house before they would do a viewing. I totally recommend them, they take all the stress out of the sale

Quite honestly, don't bother using anyone else! After a truly "mediocre" previous experience with another estate agent, which found us in a chain from hell, and eventually withdrawing from the sale, we ended up giving Firmin and Co a go, when we finally plucked up the courage to sell again. Lee, who came out and valued the property, clearly knows his local market, enjoys his job and is exceptionally good at it. Within a few days the house was sold, without ever reaching the open market! James at the Orton Waterville office progressed and saw the sale through to fruition, keeping everyone in the chain well appraised and chivvying up Solicitors. He is extremely easy to talk to, polite, professional and very talented at what he does. The other members of the team at the Orton Waterville office, were always helpful, polite and friendly too. If you want a local Estate Agent that knows their stuff, what is expected from them and does their best for you, in my opinion, you would be very hard pushed to equal or better these guys. Make no mistake, this is a slick and well oiled operation that works effectively. James, in particular, made the whole experience "painless" and positive. Only wish I had given them the chance the first time around. Can happily and confidently, thoroughly recommend Lee, James and all at the Orton Waterville branch. Absolutely brilliant! Thank you!

We were never actually intending to move just yet until we suddenly saw a house we liked and decided to view. So we contacted Firmin & Co to discuss our potential sale and booked James to come and visit. We were very happy (and suprised) with what he had to say and how much he thought he could get for our home, so we decided to put it up to test the waters (as after all its a no sale no fee anyway)! Well, here we are sitting in our new home after our sale and onward purchase completed a couple of weeks ago. The process did take a lot longer than expected due to no fault of Firmin, we did lose our first buyer but within days James had another offer in for us. Nothing was too much to ask, especially all the chasing we were all doing by the end and he was just such a friendly and down to earth guy who said it how it is. Just sold our house through Firmin & Co in Orton Waterville. I have to say James and the team were excellent. Initially I had the house on the market with a very well know online only agency. While I do not want to say anything too negative about that company, it was clear from an early stage that after appointing Firmin its local knowledge was invaluable - something sadly missing with the online agency. Firmin had potential buyers that it was able to contact straight away. It was nice to have some personal contact with people at Firmin and have conversations about potential buyers, viewings, progress etc, which again I felt was sadly lacking with the online agency. I would have no hesitation in recommending Firmin if you are thinking of selling your property.

The whole process of buying our new home took just under 8 weeks which in the current climate is excellent and enabled us to take full advantage of the stamp duty holiday.
