We used Linay and Shipp for selling our house and buying a new house, and were very impressed by their service right from the start to finish. Every staff is helpful and lovely, nothing is ever too much trouble for them. They provided a professional photographer taking high quality photos for our property, and we had three viewing requests within two hours after the property listed. They were also very good with dealing with different types of buyers, and really stood up for us when there were unreasonable requests. They helped us manage the tedious conveyancing process: chasing solicitors and providing us with regular update in terms of what is going on. They made the whole house selling process much less stressful. In terms of finding our new home, they were very engaging in showing us the property, and were patient in answering all our questions. We requested two more viewings of the property after made an offer, and they were just as patient and helpful as we haven’t made an offer. In fact, we have learnt lots of great ideas on property improvements from them, and are implementing some of them right now. A big thank you to Breda, Jacqui, Lucy, Debbie and Helen for taking good care of us throughout the whole process, and we would recommend to them to anyone in a heartbeat!

Great friendly staff, no pressure tactics and fairly priced!

A great local estate agent that puts you first while being very fairly priced! Our whole experience with Linay and Shipp was positive. We had about 6 companies come to value our property with the majority massively overvaluing (in our opinion) and then applying pressure in the days and weeks after the valuation which put us off. Linay and Shipp were honest with their valuation and worked with us to ensure we were happy with the marketing strategy. They organised the EPC, professional photographs, floor plan/layouts and confirmed a go-live date with us that worked around holidays and times we were not available for viewings.We had great communication by phone and email and we felt very comfortable leaving L&S to show potential buyers round our property without us being home. Thanks to L&S our property sold very quickly after only the second block of bookings which was a relief!Thanks to Debbie, Lucy and Breda for everything!

Fantastic service from the whole team throughout the process. Initial valuation and agreement process was professional, friendly and empathetic. Viewings were conducted around my schedule of availability and well organised to minimise the number of blocks of time allocated for viewings. Negotiations were handled very smoothly. The process from offer acceptance to exchange was monitored well, with updates provided regularly. Completion was equally smooth. Brilliant Customer Service

Thank you for everything

Right from the start the people at Linay and Shipp gave me good advice and their professional approach put me at ease. We've just had an offer accepted on a Linay and Shipp property, Orpington. All the staff that have helped us so far have all been so attentive, friendly, professional and gone above and beyond. If I was on a waiting list and there was a cancellation Breda always phoned me to see if I could make it along. She kept us up to date with new properties coming on the market that might be suitable for us and she ultimately found us our first home. We are so grateful as we wouldn't have even known about this one otherwise as it was a different style of house to what we were looking for in our search criteria on Rightmove, and it turned out she knew what we would like better than we knew ourselves. It happened to be the best one we’d seen yet and ticked all our boxes. So thank you so much for emailing us all the properties you felt could be suitable for us, following up with a call to check if we'd seen them and to see if would be interested to view.Luke managed to squeeze me in for a last minute viewing the same day I enquired about it, he showed me around and also arranged a second viewing for the same day so my partner could return after his work call. We managed to get our offer accepted within 24 hours! Luke you’ve been wonderful - thank you for pulling out all the stops. They have always been on the other end of the phone to help us and made this such a stress free experience for us. Friendly, professional and efficient

I felt confident from the outset when dealing with Linay and Shipp. Debbie Bowen did the initial valuation and immediately inspired confidence with a realistic evaluation of the property. The Covid pandemic and first 2020 lockdown delayed the process of marketing the property, but when we were able to go to market the team did a fine job in managing a large number of viewings on my behalf and steering the process to a successful sale. Everybody was extremely attentive and made sure that I was kept up to date with every development in the process. I'd also like to mention Lucy Callow for her calm and level-headed approach to marketing the property during a pandemic and Helen Miles for handling the progressing of the sale so helpfully and diplomatically.

Fantastic, Personalised & Caring Service.

We purchased our home through Linay & Shipp. It was a challenging process from start to finish due to some complexities and a bit of a slow start in some parts of the chain. Without the support of Helen at Linay & Shipp we honestly do not believe we'd be in our new home. Helen went over and above everyday (even contacting us on days off!) to ensure we knew what we should be doing and when, as well as chasing/nagging at the entire chain when the threat of the chain collapsing happened multiple times (no fault of Linay & Shipp). Helen kindly listened to us moan, empathised when we were anxious/grumpy due to issues at the bottom of the chain and took the time to get to know us. Things went much smoother when Linay & Shipp (Helen) got involved. We'd highly recommend the company, and when the time comes for us to sell in the future, they would be the only call we'd make. We definitely would want Linay & Shipp behind us for support if there were any issues. We can't thank Linay & Shipp enough for everything they have done for us.

The Best Estate Agent in Orpington!

We recently sold our house through Linay & Shipp and were extremely pleased with the service we received from the outset.Debbie was friendly and professional when we discussed the valuation, terms, photos and description, the viewings were booked by ‘phone and confirmed by email and the majority accompanied, so we knew exactly where we were.Once we had accepted an offer on our house, Helen, their sales progressor, took over.We were kept up to date every step of the way, I really cannot thank Helen enough for her help, advice and patience, she saw that everything was taken care of, checking on the chain, chasing our solicitor and keeping us in the loop with what was going on.After probably the most stressful week of our lives, we exchanged and completed in just over a week and have finally made it to our dream home by the sea. We said 24 years ago when we bought our house from Linay & Shipp that we’d never move again, but this time we really mean it!
