Overall JW homes have been an OK company to rent from with ups and downs over the three years of tenancy. Positives: JW homes made it easy and pleasant for myself and my partner to get into the rental market. The estate agent (Howard) was very friendly and helpful when viewing the property and vacating the property and couldn’t thank him enough. The house was close to work and rail links into Cardiff. Negatives: The property that we lived in suffered in some problems which we found very hard to resolve with individuals at JW homes. The lack of support and communication wasn’t professional and could have been improved with a couple of the residents on the street agreeing. This made resolving issues hard/uncompleted. Overall, we loved living at the property for 3 years, it was unfortunate that the negative draw backs resulted in myself and my partner to move out and buy an house. I would like to mention a big thank you to Howard again for making the transition of moving out easy and professional.

So glad I decided to use JW homes after they were recommended to me. From the first point of contact to the completion of sale, Lesley and Howard provided an excellent service. My home was sold super quickly and at the time they weren't even using big platforms to advertise! The expertise of Howard and his eye for detail when capturing the best parts of our home to use in a short video caught so much attention and the level of his professionalism is unmatched. Lesley kept in regular contact to ensure the sale was progressing and was always very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. My first ever home (rental) in the UK was with JW Homes. Right from the viewing, I had a wonderful smooth experience and I clearly understood what we were doing from the get go (even though I was new to the country). Howard was our point of contact from the start and he was always willing to help out at anytime for any questions we had. Not to mention, we had a very considerate landlord as well. I spent two years at our home with JW homes after which I had to move. Howard and Rachel were very helpful with the move and made us feel very comfortable with the whole process. I would always be grateful to JW homes, esp the lettings team (Howard and Rachel) for helping us make so many great memories. And I shall hope to enjoy their services again.

This estate agents are absolutely fantastic. Especially Lesley. We started the process of buying our first home 12 months ago. We first went through a private sale which took 10 whole months and was an absolute disaster. It was the most stressful thing we had ever been through. Then we found our dream home being advertised by JW Homes. The process with JW Homes took only 2 months in total from start of the process to completion. We are over the moon with the support and guidance we had from Lesley she was absolutely great. Where do I start? From start to finish nothing but professionalism, so attentive, kind and helpful. Denise is the ultimate sales lady. She sold the house to us within 10 minutes. Over the last 15/20 years I have rented properties, all but two were through JW homes. We have been both managed & set up with a home with the help of Rachel & Howard. Our last property we lived there for almost 11 years, so it was really lovely to come back & find both Rachel & Howard still working their magic here! They are supportive & extremely helpful if ever an issue arises. And problems are always resolved as quickly as possible. Can't recommend highly enough of these two. I've had the most outstanding service from Howard at JW Homes. He's been accommodating in regularly contacting myself with newly listed houses to the market in order to meet the criteria I required. He was recently in touch with a forthcoming property that had just came on the market in which I had a viewing, and the offer put forward and accepted within a 24hr time frame which is exceptional. He additionally prior to this put me in contact with Pierre who assisted me with financial advice, the service again was second to none. From the mortgage application to every other detail Pierre was always available to answer any query I had and made the process absolutely seamless. The mortgage approval and Survey was all completed within a timely fashion which I was astounded by how quickly it was all dealt with. My overall experience with Howard and Pierre through JW Homes has been a five star service, after dealing with others I really couldn't recommend them enough. From their professionalism but giving that personal and friendly touch it really did make my experience of buying my first property a breeze! Thank you both!!

I have rented from JW Homes for a total of nine years. Three years in New Tredegar and six years in Ystrad Mynach. I can honestly say as a letting agent, they have been great. I have always dealt with Howard and Rachel in the lettings department. They are very nice people who work very professionally. If there was ever a problem, for example with my boiler, they would get it investigated with immediate effect. Boiler/gas servicing was consistently very punctual. I also want to add, that in both properties I have rented from them, when it came to moving out, they would ensure the property was up to standard well in advance prior to moving out, in order to safeguard the return of my deposit. I can highly recommend this company as a letting agent as they have consistently been great. In the near future, I will be looking to rent out my own property, and I am looking forward to using this company to deal with finding tenants and managing the property on my behalf. Awful experience of renting with this company. At the end of our tenancy the landlord tried to keep over half of the bond to repaint a few walls which hadn't been painted white. The house was left in exceptionally clean condition and better decorative repair than when we moved in. The bully boy tactics used by this company and namely Rachel in trying to get us to accept that they were in their rights were shocking. We were told that the Tenancy Deposit Scheme would certainly not decide in our favour and to accept we had lost some of our bond. However the TDS did indeed decide in our favour and stated that the bond is "not intended for redecorating purposes" .We are to receive every penny back. I would expect a "professional" company to know what was and wasn't included in the TDS , and common sense would suggest they did but tried it on .The constant texts and calls prior to the claim being submitted to the TDS and after being asked not to contact us but leave it to the appeal .amounted to nothing less than harassment. Time for someone to do a refresher course in Property management I think .
