GoogleI rent property and had some serious problems with leaking from the bathroom down into the kitchen which caused quite a bit of damage.
Mia Barron in the Property Management team acted very quickly contacting my landlord and organising the builder, plumber and electrician to resolve the issue.
She dealt with the whole situation calmly and professionally and was incredibly understanding of the all the upset the water damage caused.
She is a credit to William H. Brown.
Amazing job Mia!

GoogleSpoke with Tom Matthews in regards to renting a property in Norwich with my friend and from start to finish the experience was consistent, we were informed and kept up to date with discussions he had with the landlord which was reassuring.
Tom answered all of our questions too; as we are making the jump from house shares to renting a flat he provided that extra bit of care and due diligence to make sure we knew what the next steps of the process were. This made us feel confident in the change!
Overall 10/10 experience and if you are looking to rent a property from William H Brown I’m confident Tom will be an asset in getting you to the next step!

GoogleIf I could rate higher I would, but 5 stars is the limit. Before going to William H Brown for a mortgage appointment my partner and I already had one in principle. It was a high interest rate with 15% deposit.
But after speaking to Sarah Alison at William H Brown we were left with amazing news that we could have one with 10% deposit and a low rate.
It opened so many doors for us, I’m now 4 days into being in my very own house. All thanks to the efforts of Sarah, not only did she do an amazing job professionally. She’s also a very lovely and polite lady, she made you feel welcome and made the scary things not so scary.
If you ever need mortgage advise or help, I highly recommend seeing Sarah at William H Brown.

GoogleWhat a great company! Andrew our mortgage advisor from Norwich Bank Plain really made our first experience of buying a house really smooth. He was extremely helpful, always kept us up to date, and went above and beyond to ensure we were happy with what we were purchasing. As first time buyers he put us at ease, guided us through the whole process which gave us the confidence we needed. We cannot recommend him enough. A huge thanks also to Courtney up in select who recommended him in the first place who was also very helpful, knowledgable and kind through the process.

TrustpilotAVOID AT ALL (VERY HIGH) COSTS
AVOID AT ALL (VERY HIGH) COSTS! I honestly can’t stress enough how incompetent 98% of the staff are that work for this company. They are ignorant, don’t follow through on anything and very rude. We put our house up for sale in May after been told not to use William H Brown (should have listened to the majority) I spoke in depth about what we had heard and was assured that it was all lies and just competition for business and not true. So silly old me trusted them and put our house up for sale. That’s where the lies and incompetence started. Firstly they marketed our house wrong and then lied about how many people they had interest from. Even tho we said we wanted the viewings done by them it never happened I had to do all my viewings myself as they only have someone available to do the viewings on a Tuesdays during working hours! Who views a house at these times????? NO ONE! Evenings and weekends are when most people want to view. Then came the horrendous solicitor recommendations and I refused to use them and stressed that I wouldn’t use them and they are shocking and hold everything up so what did they do. Put our first time buyers with them who didn’t know what to expect from a competent solicitor. Knowing that I stressed I wouldn’t have any dealings with them why would they put my buyers on to them? Oh I know why as they would get commission. That’s all they care about getting the money and getting you out the door. We had so many calls back and forth with the agents and never once did any of them get followed up until I spoke with the branch manager. The branch manager then went on holiday and we was back at square one. Only when I threatened to pull out of the sale was anything done and followed through. We had a dedicated (read the word dedicated loosely) sales progresser who was meant to be the point of call between the solicitors and the buyer. Yeah when she was in. Any conversation with her was like you was inconveniencing her to do her job. You pay a lot of money for this service so expect some kind of service and sadly the service we got was a very bad service. I’d have been better off putting a sign up on my gate and selling it myself least I’d not have been constantly stressed!

TrustpilotWorst Estate Agents Ever !!!
I recently bought a property through William H Brown, Adam Leadley, who was my first port of contact started off okay but then showed his true colours and just how lazy he really is. He did not return any of the many emails I sent him or return any calls or messages left and just basically ignored me. Absolutely disgusting and disgraceful behaviour. An associate of Adam contacted me to pick up the keys even though I left a message requesting Adam to call me back as it was urgent. I would never use this Estate Agents ever again and would strongly recommend that you look elsewhere.

TrustpilotI've been a "customer" of William H…
I've been a "customer" of William H Brown now for almost 10 years. During which time I've purchased a house with them, attempted to sell one (unsuccessfully I would add) and remortgaged a couple of times. However, my latest endeavour with them will be my last. Apparently when a company waives a "lifetime" fee in 2013 and makes no mention of this during transactions in 2015 and 2021, they reserve the right to charge it in 2022. In short, I guess times are tough and making a commission from the mortgage provider and an admin fee isn't enough? So instead, despite our 10 year relationship clearly holding little worth (I'd have gone back to them in the future for remortgages and hopefully next year a house move), we will part ways and I'll have to consider it a lesson learnt.Update: complaint was upheld, fees refunded plus compensation of £200.

TrustpilotWilliam HBrown Norwich Lettings
I wouldn't definitely recommend them if your a landlord. I thankfully only used them for tenant find and not lettings!!! They have so many new staff all the time, no suprises, each of them never have any idea what's going on. They ask for duplicate documents to be sent over from tenants and owners. They come across very unprofessional and it'd actually embarrassing how they are running their lettings business for a franchise company. They promised a move in date few weeks ago and never actually followed through it because their team is a big mess.

TrustpilotA severe lack of communication ability
I now know why this estate agent has such a poor reputation. As a result of living a good distance from her, we have been searching for a retirement property near our daughter for some time and chanced upon one in a very good location. We e-mailed the office that advertised the property with a few pertinent questions as we would find a return journey on the off chance of being able to get the answers and to gain a viewing almost impossible in a reasonable timeframe. It would appear that others who have had dealings with this company are totally correct as the request has been totally ignored without even an apparent willingness to acknowledge receipt let alone be a little proactive.I would advise any pensioner considering using this Estate Agent to seriously consider whether they would be able to elicit any response let alone information from them.Extremely poor service for both the seller and any prospectve buyer.

TrustpilotAbsolutely disgusted and disappointed!
I am one of the landlords, who has made a huge mistake of giving one of my properties to rent and manage @ Norwich branch.Without going into too much details, all I can say that I am still waiting after months, for my shortfall of the first rent payment (though the tenant has paid in full) and my struggle and agony is still ongoing as the person concerned neither takes my call nor pays me. The rest of the staff is either rude or very abrupt, it's completely a mess if you ever made a mistake of dealing with the Norwich branch, I guess it may be similar story in their other branches.Hoping that the company will see some sense and remit the shortfall, as I am going to KEEP CHASING them for money due to me.SO FAR a horrible experience!!!

TrustpilotAbsolutely diabolical
Absolutely diabolical. Not very good property management what so ever. The store to the property management is really bad communication. Does not reply to emails. Constant ignorance and even when a complaint was raised with enough evidence to prove they were not managing my property and ignoring my emails, the complaints team were even very rude. They changed my tenancy contract from fully managed to rent collect without consent. Didn’t keep up with inspections on the house during my short time on fully managed. Took weeks to get replies for issues with my tenants and faults. Didn’t chase up when the tenant was breaking the tenancy agreement. I don’t know what they did when managing my property but it wasn’t what my new estate agents does which on paper is suppose to be the same thing. They charge for all sorts of fees that no other lettings agency does! Would not recommend at all! The only good experience I had was with the deposits department and accounts departments. Very friendly and helpful! I’m now with a different lettings agency and they work above and beyond for their landlords and tenants!

TrustpilotTenant Find - Went above and beyond!
I've been dealing with Ethan Smith in order to find tenants for one of my properties. From start to finish, he was energetic and tenacious. Appropriate tenants were sourced quickly and he "pulled out all the stops" in order to sort out a last minute emergency that I encountered, despite it not being of his making. I've not used WH Brown before, but if this experience is anything to go by, I will in the future.

WHBrown Norwich ‘Select’Firmly believe we lost our purchase at the last minute and after spending £1500 due to the Chinese whispers of their sales staff. Rude, arrogant, didn’t tell us vendor had withdrawn a fortnight earlier, tried to make it our fault for not picking up a mobile phone call when advised we had no signal and we’re both working. DONT go near them, unprofessional and untrained. Refuse to allow solicitors to do the job, constant interference in sales process.

TrustpilotDisgusting customer service
Disgusting customer service, all talk no action, took advantage if an 80 year old couple to tie them into a contract, now to be told another 28 days notice on top of that is required!!!! Will NEVER ever recommend this agent to any body! This is the Ware branch! Forever breaching their contract! Have got in touch with solicitors and now have an amazing court case against them! They’ve destroyed my grandparents future because of this contract!

Made on offer on a house they had. 4 days later finally got a letter confirmation. Didn’t hear nothing back for another 4 days asking if we would increase it. Offered 5k more. 2 days later he apparently rejected our offer and is going with another seller. From what we was told on the phone they have another offer but their house isn’t sold. But had now sold. I’m guessing this agent was delaying us as much as possible so they could sell that house and make double commission. We’ve made another higher offer and shock they are ignoring us and not forwarding our offer

TrustpilotTerrible experience
W.H. Brown. Dovercourt Branch. Terrible experience. Signed up for 20 weeks. I had my doubts prior to signing as no contact from them. I phoned and asked if they really wanted to sell my house as poor customer care. They said yes. I had doubts again as once signed i then waited 3 weeks for photos to be taken and go online. I asked why it took that long and they said 'No Idea'. Had one phone call from WH in 16 weeks. No feedback from any calls. Nothing. Never replied to emails for days. Luckily im in no rush to move. All i wanted was to be kept updated and i got nothing. I have taken my property off the market now and once contract ends will think hard about where I will go.Ive totally wasted 20 weeks as they were not bothered in selling my property and guess its because its over a certain higher price.Never would recommend.

GoogleThe W H Brown lettings negotiator for my letting was Ethan Smith. He was incredibly hard working, patient and responsive to my queries and saw completion of the tenancy through on time despite final completion occuring after half past seven in the evening following a change to the tenancy agreement. A very dedicated, affable and capable agent who reflects very positively on William H Brown

We are landlords with a tenant that refuses to leave, they totally refuse to help, saying there is nothing that can do, we were given notice , and needed to move into a bungalow we were renting, but they refused to help, even though we have a 3 month old baby, effectively making us homeless, saying well your tenant has rights, what about ours, all they want is your money, and you as a person is not important, avoid, avoid , avoid.
