First of all I never accused anyone of french racism, I was legitimately wondering after the bad experience I had with your company.
Indeed, your agent was polite but as soon as she learnt I was french and couldn't produce any english document, she cut it straight away, and asked me for the incredible amount of 25000 £ savings. Nothing else I could say mattered then.
I totally understand that my profile was unusual to you, and that you needed guaranties, but I found really unrespectful to invent that amount of money just to get rid of my file (where does it come from ? It is more than two years rent…).
I must confess, I did find the answer of your agency ridiculous.
Thank you anyway for the time you took to read and answer my comment, and I think we both agree on this point : you are not willing to recommend my profile, and I am not willing to use your services anymore.

GoogleWe recently used Martin and Co to let out our 1 bedroom flat, on a tenant find only service. The whole thing was handled brilliantly, it was advertised on Right Move within a few hours! They dealt with all the viewings, which was such a relief and a time saver for us.
When we had a tenant application they gave us good, honest advice, and carried out all of the relevan credit checks. We used their inventory service too, for the tenant check in, which means we have have a certified independent inventory to compare to when the tenant leaves.
I'd definitely recommend them to other landlords, they made it so easy, and also got us a higher monthly rent to the previous tenant paid, so we're very happy.

GoogleI am appalled with this letting agent. We rented a property through them at the start of 2016 and everything was fine. A few months into the tenancy we had one of my parents rabbits visit the property for a few hours whilst they were moving house. Martin & Co appear to stalk their tenants social media profiles, for what reason I cannot fathom and as a tenant, I actually find this EXTREMELY uncomfortable. Martin & Co managed to find a photo of said rabbit, put two and two together and came up with five - aren't they clever? They have now accused us of keeping animals at the property during our tenancy (we haven't) and that we are in breach (we aren't). Martin & Co even deemed it appropriate to go a step further and grab screenshots of our social media profiles as evidence that we have breached our tenancy agreement - well done, NONE of these photos were even taken IN the property?! If you like dealing with a bunch of absolute morons who think it's fine to treat their tenants like dirt, go ahead and use this company. They have since advised our landlord we are keeping pets and told her to serve notice on us, without even investigating this further - no visit to the house to see actual evidence of pets, no phone call to ask us whether we are keeping pets - just straight up serving us notice. We were intending to move closer to my work anyway so being served notice isn't necessarily an issue, but the way Martin & Co have gone about this has been absolutely disgusting. Avoid avoid avoid.

They mirror my high standards, so they are an ideal business partner for me. Unlike a lot of other agencies, they are not just interested in renting the property out as quickly as possible, but more importantly, ensuring the right calibre of tenant. GoogleWe have been very impressed with the service we have received from Martin & Co in Norwich. My wife & I recently purchased a new build apartment in Norwich with the intention of letting it out. We wanted an agent to help us find a tenant, and set up the tenancy, so with that intention we visited several other agents in the city. We were generally not impressed with the agencies but when we visited Martin & Co we were both very confident that they offered the professional and supportive service that we were seeking. The process from marketing the property all the way through to tenants moving in has been handled in a very efficient and professional manner and at every stage we have had total confidence in Martin & Co. We have also been very grateful for the helpful advice that they have provided on a range of issues about preparing the property for letting.
All the staff that we dealt with were excellent. When we initially dealt with director Michael White we were very impressed with his commitment to find the right tenant for our apartment and that is clearly a philosophy that the team all works towards. The managing of prospective tenants through to moving in was dealt with by Emily Hall who was highly efficient at all times making the experience stress free for us as new landlords.
My wife and I have been extremely happy with the service we have received from Martin & Co in Norwich and we would have no hesitation in recommending them to other landlords.

GoogleNow that the tenants are settling in and we have just received our first statement of account, we felt the time was right to publically acknowledge the great support of Martin & Co's team, Norwich, over the past few weeks. From finding the tenants through to handing over the keys to them, the whole process was excellent.
This was a leap into the unknown for us as first-time Landlords and a little daunting to say the least. However, Martin & Co’s team guided us the whole way with professionalism and patience! We were also impressed with the thoroughness of their suppliers (Gas Engineer and Inventory Clerk).

However, I am a little unsure what the basis of your above complaint is; I 'witnessed' the telephone call you made and I believe my colleague spoke with you in a very professional, polite manner throughout your conversation and was simply trying to ascertain whether your requirements met with those of our landlord client. It seemed to me, from the side of the conversation I heard, those respective requirements didn't match and we weren't able to assist you, at which point you ended the conversation.
