GoogleI cannot recommend Grants Estate Agents enough! We used them for the sale of our property. I knew as soon as they came out to value the property that they were the ones to use. Explained everything to me in simple detail and so friendly and basically just dead on! Kerrie is an absolute credit to the place. She kept me updated every step of the way, I did not need to chase anything up myself. Everytime I spoke to her on the phone I was at ease, she was just so helpful and friendly. In the beginning once the house was valued our mortgage application fell through with our bank. Grants suggested I come in under no pressure and use their own independent mortgage broker who was also brilliant, no hidden fees nothing. Got our new mortgage and sold our house. 5 stars!

John Grant was one of the estate agents we considered when selling my mum's house after she passed away and based on that experience I recommended them to my son who is a first-time buyer and has just been through all the hoops of sorting out a mortgage. Unfortunately his experience yesterday left a lot to be desired. He and his fiancée had arranged an appointment to view a house (their first ever house viewing) and I dropped them down to the property a few minutes before the arranged time. They waited there for a bit but after a while no estate agent had turned up. They hadn't received an email, phone call or text to say that the appointment had been changed so they rang to office only to be told 'that property has been sold'. It wouldn't have been so bad but no explanation was offered or even a 'sorry' for their wasted journey. My son and his fiancée were so disappointed as this was their very first house viewing. Let's hope they have a better experience next time.

Hi Paul, I’m genuinely sorry to hear of your son and his fiancées experience yesterday although it would have been better if you had emailed me so that I could look into the situation that you describe.
My initial enquires, albeit without knowing your son’s name or the property that he was scheduled to view, show that we had NO viewings scheduled yesterday as our leisure viewer was not working. One particular property in Bangor had had a number of viewings booked earlier last week but with the caveat that they may have to be cancelled due to current activity on the property. All our viewings are confirmed by SMS text and usually email as well.
Hi again Paul.
So I’ve investigated further having found your son and his fiancée’s details on our system. When the appointment was booked on 4th August it was explained that it was a repossession property and that future viewings may have to be cancelled. We took an email address for your son and all confirmations were sent to that address including confirmation that the viewing was cancelled, however it appears that none of the emails that were sent were actually opened by anyone. Perhaps your son didn’t know his email was our point of contact or they may have gone into a junk folder - perhaps he could check.
Sadly it would appear that the mobile number provided was misheard and therefore the SMS text messages which were also sent to confirm and subsequently to cancel the viewing were not received by your son’s fiancée. For the same reason our attempts to phone your son’s fiancée to advise of the cancellation were unsuccessful.
I apologise for any failures on our part, particularly as it seems you had a bit of a journey to the viewing, but unfortunately it appears to have been a combination of factors rather than anything malicious or poor service.

So that everyone would receive his or her key, Vicki at Grant remained at her desk for several hours after she was due to finish for the weekend.From initial valuation to completion, Grant Estate Agents is the epitome of understated professionalism. Whatever may or may not be going on in the background, the front projected by Grant Estate Agents is of calm assuredness. Phone calls to Vicki and Kerrie on day-to-day matters are dealt with in a friendly, honest, sincere and enthusiastic manner and you come off the phone knowing you are in the hands of experts. This was our second time using Grant and we are glad we did.We hope to never have to move house again, but if we do, we see no reason to consider any other agency.
