GoogleWorst viewing I’ve been to, a shambles. Agent was late, so we made our way to the property to discover a guest in her PJs was resident, after having been told the property was supposed to be vacant. Made a hasty retreat and discovered the agent trying to organise the viewing at reception, without access to a key for the property. We received a shrug of the shoulders from him and an ‘I’m stumped’ before leaving without a hint of an apology, even after we’d travelled down from the Cotswolds for the viewing. Given we’re pro landlords and investors, top job! 5*
Reaction: Thanks for coming back on the points raised. The agent was not on time, hence the reason we made our own way to the property. Completely understand that short-notice events arise, which are unavoidable, but to not have received an apology, both on the day and in your reply is just not good business. To infer that I’m not being reasonable isn’t great either. I seriously doubt that we will be working together in the future.

Dear Graham, we are disappointed to read your review. Your viewing was booked in on the 12th November and was confirmed by both telephone and email with the vendors and the viewers. It was difficult for us to ensure access due to the nature of the property you were viewing. The vendors had secured a last minute booking, and so the property was occupied. We rely on holiday let property keys being made available to us - we don't hold them at our office due to privacy issues relating to guests - and so our agent did not hold the keys. He made attempts to find out why the independently-owned building housing the property was not manned and was locked, making calls to the vendor. Our agent wasn’t late, and we work hard to maintain good timekeeping.
As a landlord, we do hope you understand the difficulty in keeping the purchaser, vendor and occupant of a holiday let happy at the same time, and that sometimes this is a very tricky task.

Having been liaising with him for a couple of years whilst trying to buy our dream Cornish home (but being let down by our buyers twice) we finally sold and rented at Nansledan. GoogleI met with Lily at David Ball initially, she showed me the house and she was just amazing! Lily was so prompt, kind and helpful- just a pleasure to deal with! Lily then went on Maternity Leave, and we had to go through the process of buying our home without her, sadly! Nevertheless, we had an okay experience from there on, there was a bit of stress with regards to releasing the keys and lack of sympathy and/ or advice when we discovered a gas leak soon after moving in, but overall we are happy in our new home and David Ball gave us a lovely hamper of goodies.
