Kim at the Newport office was very helpful in arranging our viewing & answering any subsequent questions, and Ashleigh in sales progression was very helpful, keeping us updated throughout the process. We hit a couple of bumps along the way (nothing to do with Nock Deighton) but the team were excellent in communicating updates and supporting us through the whole process.

GoogleI approached 4 separate Estate Agents to help me sell two building plots and our house, this included a national company, two very local companies and Nock Deighton who are a regional company. The difference in the way these businesses went about the task was amazing. I felt "talked at" by some of them and some showed a general lack of urgency. I was not surprised to see that there was a huge range of recommended valuations as a result. James Carlon from Nock Deighton had a very relaxed and empathetic way of dealing with the task. He asked the right questions, he was keen to understand exactly what my wife and I thought and he exhibited a very good grasp of the issues. He was extremely quick in producing a plan and what we considered to be a realistic value. At the end of our meeting he suggested we should look locally at the houses Nock Deighton had for sale as this would help gauge how successful their team was. We did just that and were amazed at the percentage with "sold" signs up. We chose Nock Deighton as our preferred agent. No sooner had we signed up than the entire staff from our local Newport office paid us a visit to acquaint themselves with the property and plots of land, a very simple and impressive sales tactic. The Newport office started marketing our house and plots and enthusiastically led by Sue Desmond (the office manager) we were kept in touch on progress on a weekly basis, a vital part of the sales process as far as we were concerned. At our request they targeted local developers as dealing with one decision maker would be easier than three separate ones. Sue and her Country Homes colleague Ross D'Aniello soon struck up a very hot lead which was pursued with vigour and it looked as it was game set and match until the developers decided to move their resources to a project nearer to their headquarters. Sue and Ross called for a meeting with my wife and I to review our strategy. The outcome of the meeting was to market the individual plots and the house separately. What happened next knocked us for six, we had eighteen separate viewings in six days yielding 6 firm offers, mostly cash buyers!! Working with Ross and Sue we trimmed these down to three candidates and their offers were accepted. Each one of these deals proceeded in time to exchange contracts and complete the sales. We achieved 98% of the asking prices justifying James ambitious targets which were significantly higher than his competitors figures. The support, communication, encouragement and care we received, especially from the Newport office was first class Sue leads the team in a very efficient manner and it is impossible not to recognise the happy environment they have created and enjoy, clearly a team led from the front. As the deals progressed Hazel Price from the Nock Deighton Country Homes division carefully began to oversee the progress through the various Solicitors involved and liaised with each buyer. Again the professionalism and experience of the Nock Deighton team shone through, overcoming some very fragile moments on the roller coaster ride that accompanies sales of this sort. All in all a five star performance by all of the Nock Deighton team involved, I would recommend them without hesitation.
