We made direct contact with the Newport office as we were looking to move to Newport and were struggling to find the right property for us before they had already been sold. We Spoke with Kim Boardman who put us on their "Early Bird" list. Within a couple of days an email dropped in my Inbox with what seemed to be the perfect house, a viewing was arranged that weekend which confirmed this, we made our offer on the property the next morning which I am delighted to say was accepted. Just had the fantastic news that I have sold my house subject to contract. From the first visit and valuation with Dean I found Nock Deighton to be professional and reliable. All calls and e-mails to the company were prompty answered and there were extremely proactive in marketing the property. The video tour produced by Kim and Mia was according to the buyer, viewed time and time again as they were so impressed with how the property looked. Kim and Mia provided me with a string of viewings and were proactive in seeking feedback from each one, which in turn enabled Dean and myself to consider how to progress the marketing of the property. It was definetely a team effort and I felt Nock Deighton were working with me at every stage of the process. Good professional and reliable customer serrvice is sadly lacking these days so I was glad to have chosen a company who still uphelds these principles.

Having not needed to rent since University, we were bitterly disappointed in our rental experience with Nock Deighton. The computer system allowing logging of issues appears efficient, but it did not result in a prompt attention to the problems. We were never certain how much was due to the owners or Nock Deighton ,But the standard of cleanliness when we took over was deeply upsetting. we called a meeting with the staff who told us it was acceptable, however when we left it in the Cleaner state they then charged us for professional cleaning We spent eight days solidly cleaning Until the new steam cleaner died. The stairs banister and balcony railing wobble in the breeze. We had asked for the mould around the Bath , shower and Windows to be replaced and cleaned which had not been done. When we moved out to allow these faults to be remedied we still had to pay the rent in spite of multiple water leaks, in different places and the previous tenants told us they had similar issues.

We had our house up with a different agent for 4 months and although we did get 1 offer it was promptly withdrawn. We did not get loads of interest even though we live in a popular road. There was no in-depth marketing strategy where our attempt at sale was constantly under review and we kind of felt we were left and the sale had 'gone stale' Dean approached the sale in a different way and gave us ideas as to how to get more interest. They seemed very proactive and use a lot of different marketing tools. It went up on the Friday and by the end of the day we had 5 viewings booked and had an offer on the Saturday. We were really impressed. Kim was very knowledgable and professional and even went the extra mile by calling back at our property after Nock Deighton had closed to give me an update as to the offer, as it was a bank holiday weekend. Rather than just showing us houses, Sue took time to have a chat to get to know us and our requirements better, and seemed to genuinely want us to find the 'right' place. We don't know the area, so it was great that she could suggest the areas of Newport most likely to have the type of property we wanted, together with the pros and cons of each, as when we started looking just after lockdown, there wasn't that much on the market.
