GoogleExtremely rude and unhelpful estate agents. Received a very blunt reply regarding a property they have for rent. Even though the property didn't meet my requirements there was no help as to find something more suitable either, and when I followed this up with a reply, my email was simply ignored. Certainly will be avoiding in the future! Just editing to add my above review is nothing to do with you not helping due to me having a dog. I have the emails as proof. YOU the owner was the one who bluntly replied to my email regarding a property for rent. As I stated above, even though the property didn't meet my requirements (which is fair enough) you ignored my follow up email asking if their was any other properties available that did meet my requirements. That in itself is incredibly unprofessional and rude. You already replied to this review and apologised, but you then edit it once you have looked onto my profile and seen 1 other review might I add and falsely claim I have a left a bad review due to you not helping me?! It would have been lovely to have received your help, but you was unwilling and my email was ignored, hence my original review!
Hi Danielle, sorry to hear about your experience. I have tried to contact you to assist you further but you have not returned my messages. If you get in touch we can try and help but we are limited by the properties we have available at the time. I believe you have a pet and the landlord does not take pets. I don't think this warrants a 1 star review and I note you have left similar reviews for any agent that can't help you. Not very fair to them or us.

Utterly shocking experience with these guys twice over this year both in the buying and now then renal side. Physically avoiding any rentals that are managed by these guys, even if it the perfect place.The agent called back after leaving this reference and gave a terrible attitude about this claiming to be working alone - claiming he's doing us favours - and basically confirmed this review over.This same person is now sending me insulting text messages.

GoogleI have extremely positive feedback to give to The Good Estate Agent. I viewed my prospective flat twice, both times convenient to myself, and was picked up from the train station by Peter and taken to the flat as I am not from the area. Tracey picked up any queries I had during the purchase, immediately, and got back to me very quickly with the response. She kept me informed at all times. I will definitely give The Good Estate Agent 5 stars.

I went online to book a valuation with this company at the weekend and had a few questions, so phoned their number. The lady who answered the phone was unable to tell me if it was a free valuation or not and had no answer to any of my questions. We went ahead with the booking anyway and received an email confirming this. Yesterday we received another email reminding us of our booking this morning. I waiting until 20mins after the appointment time to phone and ask what was happening, to be told that the appointment had never been confirmed and no one was coming. I pointed out that they had sent me 2 emails confirming the booking, to which he replied that they were just automated. Having wasted half a day of my holidays by taking the morning off work to see them I had to tell him that his service was awful and that they really should change their name to the Rubbish Estate Agents - because they truly are.Further to the reply below: This company did not try to rearrange the appointment and even sent a reminder that I should not forget their appointment for the next day.
Dear Julie, I apologise for the issues caused here. The appointment was booked provisionally online but as we like to maintain human contact we do call all customers as we did in this case. My colleague did advise that we couldn't make this particular time and tried to rearrange. This should have been updated on the system and I apologise that this did not happen on this occasion. I used the Good Estate Agent to rent out my flat but even at this stage, I had to do a lot of the work as the contract was faulty and the inventory not covered properly. While everything went smoothly, things were OK but any problems weren't dealt with quickly or effeciently and so much so that I ended up finding my own contractors and dealing with the tenants directly as they'd given up chasing the agents. So naturally I stopped paying for a service I wasn't getting!
Hi Louise, thank you for your feedback. We've come a long way since we originally let your property which from memory was about 5 or 6 years ago now. We've improved our inventories and believe the level of detail including photographs is unparalleled in the market. I don't recall any issues with the contract and we found you some very good long term tenants. Since our last business we have employed a lettings manager with 14 years experience and continually look to improve on our offering. Sadly the good estate agent Soham failed to live up to his name. I lost the second sale of my property due to the agent failing to pass messages between myself and the buyer in a reasonable timeframe. The third sale was heading in a similar direction so I ended up handling it all myself as the good estate agent did very little for his fee. Certainly not a 'good' estate agent in my opinion..
Thank you for your review. We understand it can be frustrating when a sale falls through. In this case your initial buyers decided not to proceed due to the survey results and there is not much we can do about that. We understand that your local agent carried out many tasks above and beyond his duty to help get your sale through but we appreciate your feedback and if we can do better we will. Your second buyer is very happy with the service and continues to use us for further projects.
