Have worked with Michael at the Loughton branch a few times now. Really happy with the service. He is very good at delivering bad news, similarly he is very natural at listening to bad news. This time around my move coincided with a pretty bad personal issue at my end, but Michael was sympathetic throughout. Would happily use again, but I might swerve moving for a bit. Highly recommended.

Some more information on the house purchase mentioned by Michelle Horne. I was left £400 out of pocket because I was assured by Michelle at the Good Estate Agent that the seller was keen to move forward quickly and if necessary was prepared to move out early to assist us in our chain free purchase. Searches carried out, money wasted. I had to contact Michelle at all times, she never offered information unless asked. If Michelle has a long history of 5 star reviews I'm frankly amazed. She was extremely poor in dealing with me. I can't blame her for the seller pulling out but her communication skills are severely lacking. I was promised updates, I didn't get them. I only got updates when I chased her for them. I have copied her last email directly.
Thank you for your second review. We understand this is disappointing but as you quite rightly point out we cannot be responsible for the property coming off the market. We wish you well in your onward property journey.

Haven't had need of the services of an estate agent for some time, but needed to put my late mothers house up for sale following probate. Full disclosure: I have had some pretty poor experiences in the past so was not expecting any different. Contacted Michelle Ferbrache who covers Hythe, Kent and surrounding areas, who was a breath of fresh air. Photos taken, listing approved and property on the market within 24 hours. Comission and length of contract very sensible. She carried out all viewings, chased for responses and we felt like she did all she could despite us listing at a time of market slowdown. She was happy to listen to our ideas and gave excellent advice right back. Once buyers were found, she continued to chase both sets of solicitors for updates and passed on communication from the buyers to smooth things along. The Good Estate Agents are a new breed of agents, Michelle worked tirelessly for us. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We had a long and at times challenging sale, but The Good Estate Agent provided a consistently professional and reliable service throughout. Mark, in particular, was excellent to deal with. His communication was clear, timely, and honest, which made a real difference during the more uncertain stages of the process. He worked hard behind the scenes to keep things progressing, regularly chasing and coordinating between all parties to maintain momentum. What stood out most was the persistence, even when things slowed down, he stayed on top of everything and never let the process stall. Thanks to that effort, we were able to successfully reach completion. Overall, a very positive experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Awful. No reply to online requests for viewing in Folkestone. Phone goes to an automated bot who doesn’t understand what is being said and likes to his hang up. I have tried five different avenues to get a viewing of a property but no one gets back to me. Who would anyone use this company? I don’t understand

Brilliant company - I wish I had known about The Good Estate Agent before we listed our property. Unfortunately, we had listed our property with a different company who were as useful as a chocolate teapot but thankfully the couple we were purchasing from had listed their property with The Good Estate Agent. Mark Garner was brilliant. He kept us in the loop from day 1. He updated us every step of the way with the purchase of our new home but then at the the same time he was also helping advise with the sale of our own house which was a massive help as we were left in the dark with the company we had listed with. He maintained regular contact and advised on what we needed to do to help push the sale of our house. He was extremely knowledgeable and was on hand to answer any questions or queries we had regarding the sale and purchase of our home. I would definitely recommend this company. Helpful and excellent communication during such a stressful and big transition. Thank you again Mark :-)

I recently listed a rental property for sale and when my circumstances changed and that resulted in re-letting the property Michelle went over and above her duties. I honestly don't know what I would have done without her help as I live over 2 hours away from the property and she definitely did more than she needed to. We chose this agency because of Shelly Wood.We liked the fact that she was experienced and exceptionally knowledgeable about the area. Throughout the process, Shelly was responsive, professional and flexible in meeting our needs. We felt comfortable talking to her and knew that she would be the one dealing with all aspects of the sale personally. Above all, we did not feel under pressure at any point and felt that her advice could be trusted. Traumatic! Dramatic! and Problematic! That's what I've experienced with every estate agent over the last few years - until I met Michelle Ferbrache. Oh my goodness. What a difference she made to the process of property purchase and sale. Stress free! Sadly my sale and purchase fell through not because of any fault from The Good Estate Agent, but because my own property developed major problems that needed sorting, which I'm hopeful will be concluded very soon. Michelle has been the epitome of support and kindness throughout the whole process. I can't recommend her highly enough.

From our first meeting, Mark was a professional with clear market expertise, he remained approachable and available throughout the whole buying process, giving us regular updates throughout the week. The Good Estate Agent had helped me find my ideal tenants again and again for years.I have used them again recently after a previous tenant had only given me 2 days notice instead of 1 month's notice!Once again Brad had helped me patiently and tremendously with my tenant's searching process.I trust Brad very much and I would like to listen to his kind advice everytime.Brad is very experienced in his work having a lot of knowledge in guiding me to the right direction.I feel very lucky to be able to go to him for help anytime.Customer Services Team are very efficient in arranging every documents once a tenant has passed all checks. We invited Michelle to value our house and was very happy and comfortable with her valuation and advice on how to market the house to get the quick sale we were looking for. From beginning to end Michelle worked hard setting up viewings to offering recommendations of services that we needed for the move. We did encounter quite a few bumps in the road for such a short chain, but Michelle worked very hard helping keep things on track. To sum up… professional, passionate and hardworking. TrustpilotWhen my house first went on the market…
When my house first went on the market with TGEA James was amazing. The feedback on the viewings was given almost immediately and the buyers were all suitable and in a position to move. However once we accepted an offer from a cash buyer my sale was taken over by two admin girls with no official handover or explanation. They were novices and were unable to chase progress with the solicitors or provide updates and we constantly had to chase things for ourselves. It was an extremely slow and stressful process with false promises, false timescales, Mis communication, lies with us feeling unimportant and doing all of the leg work. We felt they were acting in the best interest of the buyer and not for us even though we were the ones to pay their invoice and not him. We were told we just had to wait as solicitors are like politicians and do everything in their own time or that they couldn’t chase things again as they were annoying the solicitor. They were scared of the phone which passed between them from day to day. On the day of completion we did not receive a thank you call in receipt of payment of the invoice or a congratulations for finally selling the house. They are very un professional, inexperienced, have very poor communication skills and are just rude. I would never recommend this agent to any friends or family nor use them again them in the future.
We are sorry that after being so well looked after by James the people who then came in to assist him did not live up to those high standards he'd set. Having spoken with James, I know that he is distraught that you didn't call him directly to let him know that you felt this way so he could have intervened and ensured that you felt that you were getting the support you deserve. Please accept our sincerest apologies and rest assure that we will make sure that all of our staff can reach the high standards that James set originally.

***Julie Tuckey *** Julie has been excellent from the word GO! I was not sure about the concept of an agent where I could not pop into the office and see them if I had a problem however that reservation was quickly put to bed on my first meeting with Julie!! She picks up her phone and responds to e-mails late at night and early in the Mornings at the times where you think about the issues you might have and want a response she’s there! Dealing with a person who’s passion it is to deliver a better estate agency service experience is so refreshing!! So if you thinking of selling she’s your lady she’s on the case and everything is sorted very quickly! If you thinking of buying and like me not sure as you feel you have nowhere to go If you have a problem your in safe hands! Thank you Julie I love my new home!! :)
