Frustrated with this agent. They wouldn't let me see the property on studley road. I had a booking but they moved the time without informing me. There was apparently high demand and they wanted everyone to see it in the same hour. I've just seen they've knocked 50k off the asking price. But no follow up to let me see it. If you let people see the property, you might be able to sell it. Stop with the transparent high pressure get everyone through the door in the same hour to encourage a bidding war tactics, price things correctly, treat people right and you'll attract good buyers. I was dealing with Tavi.

I had a really positive experience with Precious at Bairstow Eves Sales and Letting Agents in Stratford while arranging the letting of Cemetery Road. From the very beginning, Precious was professional, approachable, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. Stay well away. I would strongly recommend going with alternatives like Purplebricks if you’re looking for better value and more control. My experience with Bairstow Eves Stratford was extremely disappointing. Initially, their property manager came across very convincing, gave a high valuation to win the instruction and spoke a lot about their “old school”, customer-first approach. However, once I was signed up, it was almost impossible to get hold of him again. Viewings were handled by staff who had clearly never seen the property before. There was no effort to highlight key features or actually sell the property, to the point where I was eventually advised to conduct viewings myself, which defeats the purpose of using an agent. Within just a couple of weeks of overvaluing the property, they began pushing for price reductions, creating unnecessary pressure by suggesting the property was “sitting too long” on the market. The negotiator I dealt with was the worst part of the experience. Rather than acting in my best interest, he repeatedly tried to pressure me into accepting a low offer and became visibly frustrated when I refused. It reached a point where I declined to deal with him altogether. The sales progression process was equally poor. While I avoided using their recommended solicitors, my buyer did not, and it caused major delays. The solicitor went silent for weeks at a time, turning what should have been an 8, 12 week process into a 6-month ordeal. Throughout this, the agent claimed to be in contact, which did not reflect reality. After doing my own digging, I discovered the solicitor was based overseas and appeared to lack a clear understanding of the case based on the queries being raised. In the end, I had to go directly to the buyer (despite being advised not to), which is when the issue finally came to light. The transaction only progressed after the buyer escalated matters with their solicitor. Overall, this was an extremely stressful and frustrating experience during what should have been an important milestone. I would not recommend using this branch.

Special thanks to Elaine from Wanstead office, Basically what happened, I supposed to move another property by 27/10/2025 by the property hasn’t handed over to me, then I became homeless. I had to manage storage for my belongings and I am living airbnb. Then I went to Elaine at Wanstead office. I explained my situation, she contacted 5/6 branches of there any property or not. Then she got confirmation from Stratford office and same day within 30 mins it has been arranged viewing. I liked the property and land lord was there as well. Within few days all the process completed by Jay & team. Jay hand over the key on 4/11/2025 as it was promised. I am really happy with their help and services.

I have made multiple phone calls and sent several emails, but I have not received any proper or clear response. The process has been unnecessarily dragged out, whereas other estate agencies typically return deposits within 14 days. This has been a very frustrating and disappointing experience.

The teamwork at this branch is outstanding and I felt supported throughout the sale of my house. As I live overseas, I was able to rely on them to manage key collections and tradespeople doing jobs at the house. I Waa kept informed all the way through with emails and phone calls. Mesba has been a great help in helping us get a rental property when we just arrived from Australia. We were able to call him anytime to help us with the application process and also assisted us in our credit checks by going above and beyond and following up with the credit checking agency and making sure that we provide the relevant details every step of the way.
