I am giving this branch one star purely for Lee, the valuer. He was professional and provided a well-reasoned, evidence-based valuation. Unfortunately, once the instruction was signed, the leadership and service levels from the rest of the branch were non-existent. My experience with the Whickham branch was a masterclass in passive marketing. Despite Lee’s initial expertise, the sales team appeared content to simply list the property on portals and wait for the phone to ring. The 'active selling' one expects from a professional agent was entirely missing; notably, not a single sales negotiator actually attended the property to understand the product they were supposed to be selling. However, the most disappointing element was the conduct of the Senior Branch Manager. When I chose to withdraw the property due to a lack of results, his communication was framed as conciliatory but read as passively antagonistic. Rather than taking accountability for the branch's failure to generate momentum, there was a blatant attempt to retrospectively reframe professional valuation advice as 'client instruction'. As someone who operates in senior leadership roles within global, blue-chip organisations (NYSE/S&P 500), I find this lack of professional ownership and the attempt to apportion blame to the client to be a significant failure in management. To add to the poor experience, the manager then attempted to chase an invoice that had already been settled via a dual-instruction agreement with their sister branch. The contrast between Whickham and the Your Move Crawcrook branch is night and day. Crawcrook has been outstanding, while Whickham has been an exercise in portal-watching and defensive management. I would suggest any landlord or seller look elsewhere if they value proactive execution over excuses.

Your Move Crawcrook were working for our seller, however they were fantastic whenever we phoned up and were able to contact the seller's solicitors on numerous occasions for updates and to pass on updates on our behalf. All the staff were fantastic. Always professional, courteous and knowledgeable.
