Not sure where to start with our experience. But will keep this review short. In summary communications and keeping the customer updated is not the Alnwick branch’s strong point. Mini email breaches to me which was obviosuly meant for another customer, emails to be in the wrong customer name (and then apology emails sent with the wrong name again), lack of response with regard to specific questions and concerns. What can I say. I have never had an experience like this in all my house purchases so am sure there are worse out there…. But this experience has not been good at all.

Carly List put my house up for sale on Monday, booked 11 viewings by Tuesday morning and sold the house by Wednesday morning. There is nobody more dedicated, invested or hard working than the girls at Pattinsons Washington, if you’re debating which estate agent to use to sell your property let this be your sign, they’re amazing and I can’t praise them enough. Will never use anyone else again.

I put an offer for a property in Newcastle (NE4). I was told that it was the best and highest offer. They asked me to send agreement in principle and then mysteriously wasted lots of time (three weeks)until someone put same amount of offer and their offer was accepted! Everything was very fishy. The staff are miss connected!

Pattinson’s Estate agents were great from start to finish. In particular I’d like to mention Consett branch, and in particular Stephen. I felt all of the staff there were enthusiastic about the house and were always willing to help at every stage. After a sale was agreed the case was looked after by Wendy Burbridge, and she kept everything ticking along nicely, exerting polite pressure on solicitors etc when necessary. We were supposed to have a viewing today and it got cancelled 20 minutes before because they misplaced the keys. Absolutely ridiculous after having to leave work early having financial impact. Not to mention a 40 minute drive.It affected another potential sale, who also arrived at the property along with us.And unfortunately has put us off the sale of the Benlaw Grove property.

I asked to go see a bungalow in Carville Durham,, but was told no as I had not put my house on the market and I had not had an offer on my property. I told her how do I know if the bungalow is right for us if I don't see it so then I could put my property on the market,,Is this the way estate agent sell property now. Thank for you reply. We were interested in viewing a property via Pattinson, we saw it and thought it had potential but we were too early in our selling cycle.Instead we asked to receive a property valuation, although this all went according to plan, upon receiving the email valuation this felt different to what was actually said in person and in the end this was a very different experience to the two other property valuations we received.Anyway, we completely lost all confidence in Pattinson on the whole from this experience and asked not to be contacted again. I have now received 4 additional calls from them to 'check in with us' and advise us that we can still ditch our current agency and sell via them. Honestly, would never use them to buy or sell, especially with the pushy sales techniques. A GDPR 'forget my details' request has now been sent because it's beyond a joke to keep calling when you've already been told we are not interested!

TrustpilotPoor Communication & Unsafe Living Conditions
I'm very disappointed with the handling of this issue. I collected the property key on the 4th april 25 and completed my inventory, during which I noticed the boiler/gas system wasn't working. Despite emailing, I received no positive response and had to follow up with a call. It's now been 13 days without gas or heating, and I have a toddler. I was advised to contact Northern Gas Networks myself. Fortunately, a contractor arrived within 30 minutes and confirmed an internal pipe leak. The report has been forwarded to the maintenance team, I sincerely hope this is resolved urgently.

GoogleUseless. When we were selling our house, the numpty who took photos for the advert was completely useless. He used a ridiculous, oversized camera (one you’d probably use for shooting wildlife outdoors, not a small indoor house) and the photos were atrocious. One that included a shot of down a toilet bowl. We ended up taking and using our own photos we took on our phone. I hope the money we paid Patterson’s was used to send the man on a photography course where he can learn basics like aperture, exposure, don’t take photos down a toilet bowl and maybe get rid of his ridiculous camera. Bigger does not mean better you fool!

I cannot express how greatful we were for her help.However, Pattinsons recommended the solicitors we used who were absolutely appalling. Like I say, if it wasn’t for Wendy, this wouldn’t be a 5 star review and I’d be ranting about how we were stuck with ignorant solicitors for almost a year because of your recommendation!Please do not recommend terrible solicitors. It will only decrease the trust people have in you.

Absolute cowboys, they have been mismanaging my property for a long time. First they didn’t get the contractor to repair as agreed and completely ignored my instructions and at times they approve repairs without even informing me. I would say definitely read the clauses on the contract, you can’t stop the management during tenancy tenure. sent a letter Susan Moore and she failed to even get back, horrible company!- replaying to the reply: that’s a lie I can attach the amount of time I’ve email and even sent a formal letter to your CFO Susan Moore. Absolutely shameless!

These clearly set out all fees, including any applicable withdrawal charges, along with the circumstances in which they may apply. There are no hidden fees and all Pattinsons costs are transparently detailed within the contractual documentation. It is also important to note that, whilst a property remains under an active agreement with us, certain obligations apply regarding marketing. These terms are also clearly outlined within the agreement signed at the outset. We always encourage clients to carefully review the full contractual terms before proceeding and where necessary, to seek independent legal advice to ensure full understanding prior to instruction. I recently moved into a property in walker using the heaton pattisons branch.This branch specifically Vicki, Hayley and James were amazing! Due to my previous home being demolished i needed to move v quickly, they managed to speed up the moving process and were very supportive.Not only that i got a suprise moving box with various goodies in.The whole experience was fantastic and i will definalty use pattisons in the future ive never had a better move.Thank you so much team from Jonathan Atkins

The 4 stars are almost solely for Maria Cires. She kept in constant touch throughout the whole process keeping me informed. There were several considerable delays during this and Maria was extremely patient explaining why and doing as much as she was able to do to move things along. The fees are substantial but I feel Maria went above and beyond her normal job role to help us get to the house we had chosen. She was always on the end of the phone or email and would always respond quickly to any query I had. She was also one of the only people during the last 7 months to keep me relatively calm and sane and helped reassure me at certain times. This has been a ridiculously and unnecessarily stressful experience but Maria has helped hugely in trying to minimise this as much as she was able to. I would fully recommend her to anyone I know wishing to sell or buy as they would be in more than safer hands with Maria.

I recently purchased a property which had been advertised with Pattinson Estate Agents in Alnwick. They were extremely helpful throughout, assisting with the conveyancing process and resolving any issues which arose along the way. Kelly and Darren were particularly helpful, always rang to keep me updated and check on progress and even went out of their way to drop keys off at the property after completion.

One star but I would have given negatives stars. We arranged a viewing and arrived on time. We waved at the agent in the car who was parked outside of the property and they looked at us and drove away. We tried to ring the Ashington branch and the phone just rang out then forwarded us to head office. We also rang the Morpeth branch. Both the head office and the Morpeth branch informed us that the agent should have been there for the viewing as they both checked and told us it was definitely booked. When they tried to contact the agent they told us the mobile phone was not being answered. Absolute incompetence!
