I had a frustrating experience selling my investment property through Reeds Rain. Initially, I spoke with Jack, who was professional and helpful, and he mentioned that the fees were negotiable. However, when I later dealt with Peter, I was told the fees were not negotiable. Despite this, I chose to go ahead with them, thinking their professionalism and local market knowledge would be valuable. However, after I signed the contract to sell my property, I hardly heard from them again. Peter, who was my main point of contact, disappeared and I was left in the dark. The only communication I received was about reducing the asking price. Furthermore I wasn’t informed about any delays in listing my property either until I proactively chased them for updates. Even after sending countless emails, I never received a response from Peter. The only updates I got were the automated "weekly selling reports," which only showed the number of clicks and views on the property, nothing useful to gauge actual progress. Overall, it’s been a frustrating experience, and I definitely would not recommend selling through Reeds Rain based on my experience.

First-Time Buyers BEWARE Reeds Rains Newcastle are marketing a 1-bed flat in St Andrews Sq that is effectively unsellable. This is a corporate sale, and the vendor has refused to complete the essential legal documents required to complete the transaction. This property should not be marketed to first-time buyers, or any buyers, until it is legally ready to sell. In my experience, this was a waste of time, money, and effort. Proceed with extreme caution.

Booked a viewing on 3/03 for 4/03, asked me what day I could do i told them Thursday, they asked if i could do Wednesday at 3:15 i told them i finish work at 3 so will be late because of school traffic- they said this would be fine. Sent my boyfriend to deal with them until i got there, got there at 3:30, boyfriend told me the agent had left for another viewing. He then showed me videos of the flat i wanted to view which looked different to advertised photos. In the advertisement kitchen was a dark grey colour with wooden counter tops- in person it was light grey, granite counter tops and smaller. Disappointed and a waste of time.

I am currently in the process of buying a property through Reeds Rains. I struggle greatly with depression and popped into the Newcastle branch, to ask for help. Lauren Andrea was extremely helpful with the whole process and even gave me advise on how to go about making an offer subject to certain conditions. I believe the process is still ongoing. I believe things are progressing nicely and I shall be going back to the store in the next couple of weeks with a couple of more final questions, in the hope of completion.
