So, we called Alsager office asking for a viewing. We were told next available appointment was 9!! days later which we grudgingly accepted. We were available any time or day ( from 2 days after our call). We were about to leave home, which is not near, 100 mins before viewing. A curt phone call. "we're cancelling your viewing, as the owner has accepted an offer". Who got an appointment before us and how / why? Emailed and texted to voice my annoyance. No response....

Would definitely recommend

We sold and bought with BJB in September. During months of delays and complications (none of which were BJB’s fault or doing) Lucy, Penny and Lynne at the Hanley branch could not have been more helpful, polite and professional. During what was an incredibly stressful time, they were always on the end of the phone offering support and information. More importantly a rant always ended with a giggle - which for me kept me going. They were personable and honest which is all I asked for. Thank you guys!

Butters John Bee, how unprofessional can you be. I had an appointment arranged to view a rented property. After finishing work early, and driving in the opposite direction to where I currently live your agent didn’t turn up. Two other people who had arranged a viewing also arrived and had the same incompetent service. Rested assured this is just one of many damming reviews I will be posting online regarding this estate agent. Frustratingly I convinced there are some great members of staff who work for this company but the ‘rotten apples’ will soon destroy your companies reputation, which by all account looks like clock has already started.

Phoned about commercial property that they are advertising. They have No details, other than 3 pictures. And don't know any info either they can't get in touch with owners, so butters just don't call back. Great company procedure that. 5 th time I ve used this firm. And all 5 have been very disappointing.No wonder people avoid a property, if it's got a butters John bee sign.

Highly questionable working practices

For the third, or perhaps fourth time, I have today had a disappointing experience with Butters John Bee, which may also be impacting their clients.On each occasion the same routine:Try to book an appointment only to be told the earliest viewing is a week later;Tried to confirm the appointment on the day but unable to get through to them;Turned up to view and the agent either doesn’t turn up or they turn up to tell me that the property has already been sold.On none of these occasions have I been asked to make a counter-offer to see if they might be able to get a better price for their client. If you were their client, wouldn’t you be interested to see if a higher price could be achieved…?

Tresa - Senior Sales. That's a joke.

Tresa in the winsford branch seems to lsck thw ability to communicate with buyers of properties. We have arranged to view a property to find out it was under offer from their website on Thursday. The viewing was booked for Saturday and this was arranged on a Monday. Tresa couldn't be bothered bothered let us know about this - absolute poor communication from her. Apparently she is a senior sales partner - I don't see how. Not only has this taught us not to consider using BJB to buy a house, we wouldn't use them to sell either given the chaotic experience we've had. My mum is in the process of selling her property and was considering using these - she isn't now because #TresaCantBeTrusted. If 0 stars could be given for her service that would be too much.

Appalled by this company

Appalled by this company. They blatantly lied to my young niece (first time buyer as well) regarding a property they were marketing. They told her it was sold in 2019 to an owner occupier who had renovated it extensively hence perfect turn key property for a first time buyer. The property had, in fact, been a long term rental last sold in 2006 - and really badly neglected. Luckily she had a full survey which showed up huge damp, structural and safety issues which would have cost her about £20k to rectify. Turns out the owner had carried out a botch job to cover all the faults prior to marketing it. BJB admitted they were aware of this. Utter liars (Newcastle under Lyme Office) who were willing to offload a dangerous and structurally damaged property on a young, female first time buyer - AVOID AT ALL COSTs or you could be hugely out of pocket.

Terrible agency to sell your house with. With their eye watering fees £2400.00 they offered you a 'gold' service where the actual service was the value of nickel.Disgusting photos taken when they offered professional photos. Carrying a cannon does not make you a professional photographer.The floor plans were all wrong, after a month they still hadn't been rectified. Had to chase back feedback in viewing. Eventually withdrawn, listed with another estate agents for £0.00 to be sold in 1 DAY!. AMAZING

Stay away from these agents

Stay away from these agents. They are on some sort of scam especially some of their agents. They valued our properties at less than half their value for auction . Properties worth over £120k and they stated only £60k. Something not right going on plenty of more respectable agents in Stoke . Stay away from them .This was your branch Manager and Clair Ryan so please do not try and act innocent as they were both in on this scam. We have properties bought 17 years ago for £90k plus and they valued them at £30-£40k less than what we purchased them for 17 years later! And to wrap it trying to put pressure on us to sign to say we are happy with the valuations. Stay away.
